Give a girl the right shoes & she can conquer the world

Give a girl the right shoes, and she can conquer the world.” --Marilyn Monroe.

Do you agree with that girls? As for me I do agree with that quote by the beautiful Marilyn Monroe. There’s something about shoes that makes all girls gaga and brings out the best in them too.

Christian Louboutin’s  quotes about shoes are also very true enough:

My Latest Wishlist from SheInside

As you all know, SheInside.com is one of my favorite online clothing store, I also visit their website regularly to check what’s new on  Pre-Sale and their daily arrivals. I often buy dresses from them because they offer unique and high quality pieces. A couple of months back, I noticed that I’m not wearing that much dresses anymore and always found myself wearing just and blouses, and then I checked my closet and found out that most of my dresses are out of style, worn out and doesn't fit anymore. So I vouched to refresh my collection of dresses and purchase or sew more dresses from here on now.

When the new year started I also started to purchase more and more dresses, and a lot of them I bought from SheInside. Now I’m so hooked with their products that almost every day I check what they have to offer.

Puerto Princesa Travel Diary: What I Wore No #2

On our second day in Puerto Princesa, we went to Dos Palmas Beach Resort which is in Araceffi Island in Honda Bay. Since it will be a day at the beach and we would pretty much spend more time in the water and doing other beach/water activities, I thought of just putting on my swimsuit and a cover up because we will be picked up by a van service at the hotel, then to the port and straight to the boat to Dos Palmas.

I was really saving this chiffon maxi dress for this beach trip; I got it from Ahaishopping.com which I made a blog post about it a couple of months ago (see review here).

PUERTO PRINCESA TRAVEL DIARY: Kalui Restaurant

When I started asking around friends who have been to Puerto Princesa, Kalui Restaurant is the first thing that they blurted out that we should try. Even when I searched the web for where to eat in Puerto Princesa, Google always gives back Kalui.

My friend gave me the number of the owner of Kalui and told me to send him a message so we can reserve a table in advance. Because this place is jampacked both during lunch and dinner time; Kalui is that famous.

LBDs Shouldn't Be So Plain and Boring

The LBD or little black dress should be a staple piece in every women’s wardrobe. You gotta have at least one LBD in your closet because it’s considered to be an essential apparel to most, if not all, women across the globe. It’s versatility of being dressed up or dressed down depending on the occasion is one that we cannot set aside.

The LBD is an evening or cocktail dress, cut simply and often quite short. Fashion historians ascribe the origins of the little black dress to the 1920s designs of Coco Chanel and Jean Patou intended to be long-lasting, versatile, affordable, accessible to the widest market possible and in a neutral color.

PUERTO PRINCESA TRAVEL DIARY: Emerald Playa & Nature Park

Our goal during this trip was to enjoy Puerto Princesa “off the beaten path”. That’s why we ended up doing most of our tours DIY and go to some places that most tourists won’t consider going to. I just asked around from friends/colleagues who has been to Puerto Princesa on what they can suggest. I also scoured the net for  interesting things to do and places to see in the Puerto Princesa.

We never planned to take any city tour offered by any travel agency in Puerto Princesa because for one, I find the Php 600 per person fee a little expensive especially when you can rent a trike specifically used for touring the city for half a day for the exact same prize. Most drivers who uses the blue and white-painted trikes have had seminars at the Palawan Tourist Center, so they basically can also become your tour guides and can share interesting stories about some of the tourists spots around the city.

Stay Young in the Sun with Belo SunExpert!

I looove going to beach! Although I don’t think I can call myself a beach bum or a beachcomber, I make it a point to at least once a year to visit the beach. It has been my goal to explore the beaches around the Philippines before I journey outside of our country, especially that I know that our beaches can always go hand in hand with other world renowned beaches abroad.  Plus touring our own will help boost our local tourism.

And I always make sure that my skin is protected from the harmful effects of  the sun, so I've always come prepared! I always bring with me a sunblock with a high-SPF so that I an enjoy staying under the sun for longer hours before I need to re-apply. I am not fond of cream-based sunblock lotions that's why I'm pretty much happy than ever when spray sunblocks were invented! Now Belo Essentials didn't allowed to be left off of the bandwagon and have recently released their own version of it, the Belo SunExpert Transparent Mist SPF50!

PUERTO PRINCESA TRAVEL DIARY: What I Wore #1

If you don't know it yet, I love to dress up and I love anything pretty and trendy. Planning what I'll wear for work and for special events has always been a natural instinct. Our travel to Puerto Princesa was of course not spared. I won in two blog contests giving me enough store credits to purchase new clothes to be added to my wardrobe. Receiving these gifts/blessings was just right in time before our Puerto Princesa trip and just before I attend a friend's wedding. The packages also came a week before our Summer getaway. I want to share with you guys my OOTDs during our Puerto Princesa trip, and this will be in no random order.

On our third day in Puerto Princesa, Palawan, we went island hopping in Honday Bay (which I will also make a blog post about it, after my schedule makes it possible). Since we will do a lot of snorkeling and swimming this day, I just put on my DIY swimsuit top (will blog about this too!), and my old highwaist swimsuit bottom and use a dress that I got from SheInside.com as my swimsuit cover up.

PUERTO PRINCESA TRAVEL DIARY: Badjao Seafront Restaurant

My husband and I wanted to have a very relaxed getaway when we go to Puerto Princesa. In most of our travels, are itineraries are jampacked or has been pre-planned by the travel agency who’s services we have availed. Since we are not new to travelling anymore, and it’s just the two of us this time around, we did some DIY. I researched online about stuff that we can do, where to go and where to eat in Puerto Princesa. Besides, it is not one of the newest travel destination in Philippines anymore, so a lot of blog reviews and features can be found online.

We really  saved a lot during this trip because of the free accommodations that we got from Legend Hotel Palawan through Club Astoria Holiday Ownership and the free flight that was awarded by Philippine Airlines to us. With that being, said the budget that was supposedly intended for our flights and accommodation provided us a chance to spend it on other stuff, like food and tours. We landed at Puerto Princesa airport at around 8:30am.

Rosewholesale.com's Beam Waist Ruffles Cotton Solid Color Dress

If you happen to check out my info photo on the right side bar of my site before you landed on this entry, you probably might have an idea that I do wedding/events coordination and styling as a sideline job. Even if I’m already pre-occupied and busy with my real job, I still find time to fulfill   something that I love to do other than my profession, something that I enjoy doing and something that I find therapeutic.  Well, not so therapeutic when you get stressed and tired at times, but it is something that I won’t probably get tired of doing, unlike my current job.

About a month ago, I executed my first ever engagement shoot set styling. This one was for my and Viel’s engaged friends who’s tying the knot this Summer. If you have been reading my posts regularly, you might have an idea what I’m talking about since I have mentioned about these friends of ours and their wedding a couple of times in some of my blog posts.
