Viva La Bohemie with Tidestore

Bohemian fashion have always fascinated me. It is one of those fashion styles that I have always wanted to wear and embody when I was younger but failed to do so. Although I admit I have tried dressing in that style of fashion or have incorporated something Bohemian in my style back in college, but never everything at once or continuously. My personality may have got in the way because being Bohemian equates a lifestyle of being carefree or free-spirited. And I am totally the opposite of being carefree hehehe!

Bohemian fashion started way back in the 1800s! Ha! Bet you didnt know that too! I didn't too! Hahahahaha! According to Wikipedia.com the term Bohemian in modern usage, is applied to people who live unconventional, usually artistic, lives. The adherents of the "Bloomsbury Group", which formed around the Stephen sisters, Vanessa Bell and Virginia Woolf in the early 20th century, are among the best-known examples. The original "Bohemians" were travellers or refugees from central Europe (hence, the French bohémien, for "gypsy").

Reflecting on the fashion style of "boho-chic" in the early years of the 21st century, the Sunday Times thought it ironic that "fashionable girls wore ruffly floral skirts in the hope of looking bohemian, nomadic, spirited and non-bourgeois", whereas "gypsy girls themselves ... are sexy and delightful precisely because they do not give a hoot for fashion". By contrast, in the late 19th century and first half of the 20th, aspects of Bohemian fashion reflected the lifestyle itself.

Some of the well-known celebrities who are famous for their Boho-chic fashion includes Kate Moss, Sienna Miller, Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen. I super love how the Olsen twins made Boho-chic and vintage fashion look super duper beautiful and sexy. I have been a great fan of their fashion style eversince they were in their preteens and exploring their place in the world of fashion.

If you love the Bohemian-chic kind of fashion or even just want to incorporate a piece that says Bohemian, I suggest you take a look at these pieces that I've pick from Tidestore.com:
