Bigbelly's: For the Belly Big Appetite

Bigbelly's is a family-owned chain of restaurants of the Sto. Tomas family that has roots in Lipa, Batangas and the food business isn't a new thing for them. They started with a kiosk in front of University of Asia and the Pacific (formerly named Orange Chicken) and then the family ventured out with a new set of menu and business name at some of the food court offices in BGC and Pioneer. Now they have 3 full-scale restaurants in Lipa, UP Los Banos and the newest addition is located at Robinson's Cybergate Pioneer.

What gives Bigbelly's a steady-growing following is their quality comfort food that are ultra budget-friendly. The restaurant’s name speaks for itself since the servings come with a super huge amount of rice topped with an equally large amount of your choice of meat (pork, fish or chicken) paired with an array of choice for sauces. Working folks would really find their food items fit their daily budget because for less than 100 bucks an order can feed two people (if they have small appetites ) and can satisfy a person to the brim (if one has bigger appetite). Best sellers would be the chicken + Kung Pao sauce or chicken + honey mustard.

There are other menu items which are also mostly below a 120 bucks like their buffalo tenders (which happens to be another best seller). If you’re a huge fan of French fries, you’ll definitely love Big Belly’s version of this, and oh, they are topped with a large amount of mayo and cheese sauce! The three times I ate at Bigbelly's I went home feeling like I ate two meals in one sitting that could probably lead to food coma… hehehe…

The interiors of their Robinson's Cybergate Pioneer branch has the industrial feel to it, which is conceptualized and designed by one of the family members. It gives a cozy vibe where people can hang out anytime of the day while filling their tummies. And when I say anytime of the day I meant 24-hours because Bigbelly's is open 24 hours from Monday to Fridays.

Lunch and dinner time at Bigbelly's can get a bit crowded due to employees from nearby offices flock to this place. You  can either opt to have your order to go or sit down at the communal table and who knows you might end up becoming friends with the people you share the table with or meet the future love of your life… lol!

If you’re looking for good and quality food that is super budget-friendly, drop by Bigbelly's if you happen to be around their 3 branches!
