#WhereToNext? Take Me To Paris!

Travelling is one of the best forms of education, do you agree? Even when we  are still in school, regular field trips are conducted so that students can have first hand experiences on culture and history. And I was one of those who gets excited when our school announces an upcoming field trip. I can definitely attest that I have learned and experience a lot of great things from school field trips. Now that I'm older and has been earning quite enough money, I've been having the yearning to at least make a major travel plan yearly.

I would love to travel the world, it's one of the reasons why I make it a point to work hard. If only I am qualified to join The Amazing Race I would have done it years ago. But hey, who knows what the future holds and maybe it is one of God's plan for me to see the world and be in awe of His majestic creations. I'm still young and I still have a lot of years to fulfill my Travel Bucket list. But I'm praying I can cross out one major destination yearly or every two years.

One of my dream destinations is France. I know that there are so many places to see in that country but my heart will always beat for Paris. I’m sure it is almost every girl’s dream to see Paris, besides that it’s the most romantic place in the world, it is also the one of the most fashion forward cities. I’ve always been enamored of Paris’ sophisticated charm and like every girl out there, I want a photo of me wherein the beautiful Eiffel Tower stands in the distance. Of course I would also love to see Champs-Élysées, The Notre Dame Cathedral,  the beautiful works of art housed in the Louvre, the Musée d'Orsay and Paris’ many other museums and galleries.

I'm just so in love with Paris that I always put in places where I'll see it constantly. Remember the power of visualization? Where you put your goals and things that you dream to have and it taps your consciousness to motivate you to have it? I'm doing that! That's why I have the photo of the Eiffel Tower as my phone's wallpaper and in some of my social media accounts. I am crazy in love with that city that I join almost every contest that says: “Win a trip to Paris”. Unfortunately luck hasn’t come my way yet, I guess I will have to work harder and save up for that trip instead. If given the chance, I would also love to see Paris Fashion Week. I think there’s no need for a more elaborate explanation why I want to go to Paris someday. Paris is just IS.

This will be me someday...

I have used Airbnb.com to organize my travel bucket wish list, so that I have an online list of destinations that I want to keep track of. I’ve known Airbnb.com since 2011 and had used it to look for affordable accommodations when we booked for Hong Kong in 2012 (but we had to cancel it because of unforeseen circumstances). Airbnb.com, was founded in August of 2008 and is based in San Francisco, California. Airbnb is a trusted community marketplace for people to list, discover, and book unique accommodations around the world – online or from a mobile phone. With world-class customer service and a growing community of users, Airbnb is the easiest way for people to monetize their extra space and showcase it to an audience of millions.

A girl can always day dream right? And daydreaming is what I did! Like what I said a while back, I have read or watch from somewhere that if you continue to visualize your dreams, your subconscious mind stores them and somehow pushes you unconsciously (or perhaps deliberately) to reach for that goal. So even if I still don’t have the chance to go to Paris  in the next few months, I browsed around Airbnb and looked for places where I might probably stay if ever the good Lord brings my wanna be wanderlust feet to Paris.

I was amazed to find really cheap and affordable accommodations that are at the heart of the city of Paris! A lot are so beautiful that you won’t believe they only costs PHP3000/night only (that’s around US$ 70 only! ) What caught my eye though and immediately favorited is this place named: Parquet Moulures Cheminee owned by the host named Thierry and with lots of very good reviews.

I am super in love with this listing because it unarguably screams “Paris”. This Airbnb listing is located in a very lively and central distinct in Paris. It is can be found 2 steps from the Grand Boulevards; 15 minute walk from Canal St. Martin, Opera and Republic places and in a safe neighborhood surrounded with equally lovely shops, cafes and restaurants. It also has a direct access to the Metro Lines 4, 8 and 9 so going around Paris will be breezy.

The building where this flat can be found is already boasting with real French character. It is a classic 2-bedroom Parisian flat with elegant and soothing combination of old world charm and modern design.

It comes with all the amenities that guests would need and more: lounge, kitchen, bathroom with bath tub, elevator, TV, DVD player, Wi-fi, washing machine, dryer, dishwasher etc.

And oh did I mention that the rooms have a balconies? Lovely, ain’t it?

It’s interiors are chic and stylish; with just the right amount and mix of decors and looks super romantic and comfortable. What’s more is that it is just a few minutes away from the tourist spots around the city of lights.

Oh… this place really stirred up my desire to really work hard so I can go and visit my dream destination, Paris! And when that moment comes, I will definitely stay at Parquet Moulures Cheminee!
