Agave Mexican Cantina - BGC High Street

Can you believe it that I am always around BGC and I work in BGC but only now that I get to try Agave Mexican Cantina. One of mu college buddies and I decided to go strolling at High Street one weekend for book hunting during Fullybooked's annual book sale. We ended up buying clothes though instead of books. We got hungry after a couple of hours of walking and window shopping and we both started to crave for Japanese food. Unfortunately we cant find the Japanese resto I looked up on Zomato and we ended up at Agave.

Funny that books turned to clothes and Japanese turned to Mexican. It wasn't our first choice but we were surprised on how good and affordable the food at Agave Mexican Cantina was. So it was a blessing in disguise after all.

I know Agave for their bottomless alcoholic drinks but I've never tried them, only just now and I think theirs are reasonable. You can even choose the type of vodka that will go with margaritas. They have different flavors for their margaritas and mojitos too. We ordered the mango margarita and strawberry mojitos in carafes only since we didn't plan to get drunk. I like them both, they're refreshing and have the right amount of alcohol. Though I had to ask for more mint in my mojitos because that's how I like my mojitos - very minty!
Real Fruit Mojito - Blending the flavors of the classic mojito with real fruit. Available in ripe mango, lychee or strawberry. They use Bacardi.

Mango Margarita - Agave's frozen house margarira blended with juicy mangoes. served with sugared rim.

As for the food, here's what we got and my friend and I shared them because the servings are good enough for two unless you have a big appetite.
Burritos- soft flour tortilla stuffed with refried beans, Mexican red rice, sour cream, Mexican cheese, fresh lettuce, pico de gallo and your choice of filling. Served with chips and salsa. Available in three styles: classic, toasted or naked. Comes in solo or grande. I chose to get Pork Carnitas. The burrito was in regular size but it is huge and have lots of fillings in it. It will easily make you feel full. It tastes good too and very flavorful.

Combo Uno - chicken quesadillas and two shrimp Chile Rellenos, served with your choice of salsa. This includes Mexican red rice and refried beans. This is truly a value for your money because you have a couple of dishes in one plate. Everything tastes good, flavorful  and very filling. I actually like everything in this plate.
