The youth of today is geared towards taking up technology-related courses because it is what the future needs, so they believe. But you know what’s one thing people cannot live without? The basic: food. Anything that is related to food is still one of the most profitable profession or business a person can engage with.

This is why we should encourage the youth in our lives to take culinary arts in the future as it develops someone holistically. Culinary arts are one of those fields where one can express so much creativity and at the same time pleasures almost all of our senses: smell, taste, visual, texture.

Studying culinary arts is a hands-on learning that involves one to physically engage with skills that stimulates both a person’s mind and body for the science related to food, cooking, baking and even management. It’s also one of the most rewarding careers since it gives so much satisfaction to see when people enjoy food that you have created or prepared with love. Culinary arts also connect people and where culture and passion are shared. This creates a journey for the one creating and also for the one consuming.

After the pandemic, we have seen the rise of people consuming food again after being deprived for a while. Food creatives have also come up with new, unique and exciting foods that consumers are excited to try and share with their loved ones or audience. People also travel just to experience food in other cultures once more.

If you’re looking to encourage any youth in your family or circles to take up culinary arts in the future, I suggest this website www.culinaryschools.org - which is a leading website helping culinary students find a school and career path to fit their needs and aspirations. It also provides guidance that allows someone to choose an institution to enter to complete their studies for say like becoming a chef, a cook and/or a hospitality personnel member.

If your family member is still a child, make them more interested with culinary arts by suggesting to play some culinary-related games online as well. This website doesn’t only provide information about culinary arts and related info but also free online kids cooking games

Here’s some games you can try that will build interest with cooking or culinary arts:

Cooking and Kitchen Work like Kitchen Word where it is a kitchen appliance and utensils word game where you draw a line connecting each of 3 pictures to the words best describing them. Select a star near a picture and then click on the box which has the word best fitting the associated drawing.

Farming games where familiarizes players with farms, farm animals and farming. One good game is Idle Farming Business; this is an idle clicker game where you plant and harvest crops, upgrade soil & fertilizer, and build a thriving farm one click at a time.

Serving Eaters game on the other hand are games where you can create dishes and or play as a waiter. You can try Open Bar which is a bartending simulation game where players pour drinks for customers and clean up the bar after serving each drink. Fill each glass precisely to the fill line to earn extra points & see how much you can earn before the timer runs out. This game focuses simply on filling glasses to the right level & cleaning up rather than focusing on drinking.

And lastly games where you can create deserts. One fun game is Panda The Cake Maker. It is a simple baking game where players must create each cake a customer requests. I really like this one, because of panda and cake! two of my favorite things in the world!

What I love about these games are they are so interactive and have very cool background music that will stimulate you to be awake and enjoy the games! By providing exciting, hands-on experiences and showing the depth and breadth of opportunities in culinary arts, we can ignite a lasting passion for cooking and food among young people.
