SheIn.com Halloween Sale

I’m not really fond of things freaky that’s why I never liked Halloween. I actually can’t fathom why we say happy Halloween when this occasion gives us that much scare. I easily get scared and I don’t like watching scary movies, they give me nightmares and my imagination runs wild after seeing any scary movie. Then there’s Trick or Treat, well, I would rather receive a treat than get tricked. I remember going to a haunted house in one of the local amusement park and I almost ran my way out to the exit and shouted to the re-enactors that they don’t try to scare me or I’ll punch them in the face!

Anyway, what I love about Halloween is only the thought of dressing up in costumes or dressing in black. Well black is one of the colors that represents Halloween and it makes anyone look slimmer, so I guess that’s the only reason why I am forced to like Halloween.

Keep It Short But Sweet

Prom, according to Wikipedia.com is a semi-formal (black tie) dance or gathering of high school students. This event is typically held near the end of the senior year. Proms figure greatly in popular culture and are a major event among high school students.

In the Western world, high school juniors attending the prom may call it "junior prom" while high-school seniors may call it "senior prom" or "senior ball". In practice, this event may be a combined junior/senior dance.

DAVAO TRAVEL DIARY: Lachi's San Rival

Life is full of many first times and we have to be open for these new experiences and events in our lives. On the third week of August 2015, I was able to experience another “first time” in my life – be a solo traveler! I was scared and excited at the same to be honest, but a lot of women have been doing it for years and they have been successful at it. Well, for my first time to be a solo traveler, I went to one of the world’s safest city in the world: Davao City.

I was blessed to be able to fly for free because of the flight voucher I received from Cebu Pacific when our flight from Manila to Cebu was cancelled and we were transferred to another flight. I had only 6 months to use it so I booked it on the third week of August; little did I know those dates were the dates for the Kidayawan Festival in Davao City which I learned only a week before my flight. I got excited with the thought of actually attending a well-known local festival, but unfortunately I was not able to see it up close and personal and only from the hotel’s TV feed. It was very hot that weekend in Davao City, a lot of people were in the place where the street dance was being held and it was kind of traffic around that part of town. So I ended up skipping watching the Kidayawan street dances. But you know that there are festivities going on because my flight was full and there are also many tourists in Davao.

Tambayan 101 - New Hangout Place in Manila

I remember when I was in college, I used to have classes that are hours apart. One of my classes ends at 2:00 pm and after that, the next class would start at 7:00pm. Most of the time, me and my classmates would look for things to do or places to go to spend that 5-hour gap.

It was really boring to have to wait that long so most often than not, we end up just going home and not attending that class anymore. The place where my college was don’t have many options for students to stay, study or just pass time. Unlike now that it is one of the booming business district in the metro.

I Want to Wear An Evening Dress

I rarely attend formal occasions, if ever I’d attend one; it is most likely a wedding or a debut party. That’s why I don’t own any evening dress or gowns; I have just this one dress which I wore for my best friend's wedding when I was her maid of honor.

I have always dream of attending black tie events like a balls or galas of some sorts or some glammed-up red carpet events where I need to wear formal dresses. Well, even if it’s not happening soon I am already excited with the idea.

Timeless Lace Wedding Dresses from Landbridal

Of all the cloths that have been invented, my two most favorite would be silk chiffon and lace. These two materials make up most of my clothing items; chiffon because it' lightweight and flowy and lace because of its allure and elegance. Lace is probably the most timeless material ever made, I can bet that lace is always in all of the fashion era, whatever the trend is I'm pretty sure that a piece in every designer's collection has or had utilized lace in there.

Lace can be pretty expensive, especially the ones done by scratch or by hand. Good thing that modern technology has enable manufacturers to produce them in faster ways and in vast amounts, making it available to more people at a more affordable cost. It has now easily available to the masses unlike before that only the upper class can buy them.

Top Girls Fashion by SheIn.com

Christmas is very near and people are starting to get busy every minute doing their Christmas shopping for gifts for loved ones. I know many of you are exactly doing just like that, but have you  already thought of what to get for yourself? We tend to become so pre-occupied of what we should get for our families and friends (which is a great thing, don't get me wrong) that we sometimes forget what to get for ourselves as a reward for working hard this past year.

As for me, one thing that puts a smile on my face is getting myself a new outfit for the upcoming holidays. And yes, I often purchase clothes, yeah they're my weakness, but Christmas is an occasion that is unlike any other occasion so I want to get myself something special.

Beach Wedding with Cocomelody

Since I am in love with the sand under my feet and with the beach, my dream wedding was actually a beach wedding. I have envisioned myself walking on bare feet and my soles would feel the soft white sand on my soles as I do my wedding march. But unfortunately that wasn’t fulfilled. Well who knows? Maybe if I’ll have another wedding again in the future, I might actually push thru with that dream. And if that does happen I will make sure everything will be perfect.

You know, where my aisle would be fine white sand and my carpet instead of red one would be hundreds and hundreds of scattered rose petals. And my backdrop will be a beautiful sunset in all its glory and guests would sure have the greatest time of their lives. I would have a sort of like a beach BBQ reception complete with a seafood buffet. Wouldn’t that be awesome?

[NEW IN] MY SHEIN.COM COLLECTIVE HAUL #11

I don't know if I can actually call this a haul, because it only contains 2 items. I've been resisting online shopping lately and just gave in to this purchase since I was able to accumulate quite a number of bonus points and received a 40% off coupon code via email for being a loyal SheIn customer. Anyhow, I got these 2 items not necessarily because of the monotone color but basically because how stylish they look.

I love shopping at SheIn, because they have so many items that I don't get to see in stores back here in my country. The items that I buy from SheIn are truly unique pieces, and I haven't (fortunately) bump into someone or have seen someone who wears the same items I got from SheIn.

Will You Give Me The Honour and be my Bridesmaid?

I have to say I always love weddings. I love attending them as well; whether I am a guest, a coordinator or part of the bridal entourage. I am proud to say I have experienced every level of being part of a wedding from being flower girl, to a bridesmaid, to being a maid-of-honor and now a matron-of-honor to one of best friend's wedding next year.

I love being a part of someone's wedding and even the thought of being invited in a wedding is a huge privilege to me. It actually pains me to see that people nowadays, when they get invited to a wedding, they feel like the bride and groom owe them something. When in fact, the attitude  should be  that being invited in a wedding, more so if you're being chosen as part of the bridal entourage, you should feel privileged in a humble manner.

Cruising Magazine x Zomato Travel For Food: C' Italian Dining

Life can be monotonous at times. The daily routine of getting up so early in the morning, go to work, then bracing the Manila traffic just to get home leaving me 4-5 hours of sleep a day, then repeat for few more days. Most of the time when somebody ask me to go out on a weekday, I usually turn it down. But sometimes, I get so burned out to the core that I say what the heck, I never get to sleep that much anyway. And sometimes you thank yourself for yielding and breaking the monotony.

So when one of my lil' sisters Princess (phantasmdarkstar.com) brought me along to this event by Zomato.com and Manila Bulletin's Cruising Magazine. I forgot how weary I am from the day's work. Also, the event will be held in a restaurant just a block away from where I work so I did not have to worry about the travel.

Keep Warm and Snuggle Up with Fall/Winter Clothes from WholesaleBuying

My country is probably the only country who celebrates the holiday season as soon as the calendar hits September. You could already see houses being decorated with Christmas stuff, malls are doing sales almost every weekend, traffic jam has gotten so worse and the cold weather is very absolute. Although we don't get to experience snow and a white Christmas, it's been raining almost every day and the rain brings with it very cold and dry air.

And I am someone who easily shiver when it gets cold. I always thought I couldn't live somewhere where it snows because I'll probably catch pneumonia or something since I can't stand that much cold. So as much as possible I try to wear clothes that would keep me warm when the holiday season kicks in.

Sultan Mediterranean Grill

Mediterranean cuisine is probably my favorite of all the foreign cuisines that I have tried. If someone tells me we’re eating Mediterranean, I won’t even bat an eyelid when I say of yes! It offers one of the most flavorful and interesting types of food. Although this region spans a wide variety of cultures, the historical connections of the region, as well as the impact of the Mediterranean Sea on the region's climate and economy, have led to there being many common elements in the foods.

Mediterranean food is a mixture of cuisine from these different countries: Albania, Algeria, Bosnia, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Egypt, France, Greece, Israel, Italy, Jordan, Libya, Lebanon, Jordan, Macedonia, Malta, Morocco, Palestine, Portugal, Provence, Serbia, Spain, Syria, Tunisia and Turkey. Whew that’s a lot! But notable among all these when it comes to Mediterranean food are Greek, Moroccan and Turkish cuisine.

Say Goodbye to Summer and Say Hello To Fall With Shein.Com

Fall or autumn may be short, but it is as equally beautiful as all the other seasons. Especially when the leaves turn to bright reds and oranges and they start to fall off from the branches of the trees in preparation for the winter season. Unfortunately, I haven't seen fall in person since it doesn't happen in my country. In the northern hemisphere, fall signals the holiday season and surely it is a beautiful sight. Unlike back here, you know that the holidays is near when days are shorter, the traffic jam is worst than worst (can’t find any word more superlative) and people are flocking the malls for early Christmas shopping.

The month of September and October is probably is the best time to go holiday shopping since prices of commodities aren't that sky high just yet. So this is the best time to take advantage of sales and promotions at the malls or even online.

Sammydress Satchel Bags Wishlist

I  am not much of a bag lover and more of a shoe lover. Of course I want to have a couple of bags that I can alternately use to keep their purpose longer. Although most of the time,  I tend to get lazy to switch bags because I have the tendency to forget to transfer something from one bag to the other.

But just like any other girl or woman out there, I would love to have an ample amount of bag collection that will go along with my clothes and accessories. I oftentimes find myself using a bag that doesn’t fir what I am wearing and since I don’t have that much bag, I just  use whatever will look ok with the outfit.
