Sheer Lace Dress from SheIn.com

I am a big fan of anything lace, sheer and unique dresses. So when I was browsing through Shein.com (which I regularly do) and saw this dress I knew I had to click the “add to wishlist” button right away. The dress is quite pricey actually probably because of the not so usual design and the lace cloth used for it. I have another dress from Shein.com (formerly Sheinside.com) that is very similar to this one and their price is almost of the same range.

So probably after a month or so I was finally able to move it from my wishlist to my cart. Well, thanks for the bonus points I  have accumulated that past month and the coupon code I got from one of Shein.com’s newsletter I got it at a significant discount. So the tip here is to comment, share or rate products at Shein.com to receive bonus points and look after coupon codes on their website and newsletters.

Show Off Your Brightly Polished Toes with Shoespie Peep-Toes

“A girl can’t have too many shoes” and “Give a girl a pair of high-heeled shoes and she and conquer the world” are my two most favorite quotes about shoes. The first is so true, even though a girl already have a handful of shoes, there’s really no limit as to how many she can own. I have to admit I am one of those girls; I have lots of them and I can’t help myself whenever I see a pair that I really love. Shoes have definitely some magnetic powers to them that attract women.

When it comes to shoes, women are lucky enough that there a several varieties and types of shoes unlike with that of men’s. You also need a specific or a certain one for every occasion. You can’t wear sneakers if you’re wearing a formal gown right? That would not look very appropriate.

Wear Your Life Story with Soufeel Charm Bracelet

Who can resist pretty jewelry especially if you're a woman? I would be honest that even if wanted to buy some for myself, I always fought the urge because they are expensive. I just find myself window shopping or browsing online and just adoring them. So you would know how palpable my excitement was when Soufeel.com contacted me to pick out my favorite charms from their website. Then my excitement slowly drifted away realizing that shipping to the Philippines from outside has started to become a burden to Filipino recipients. I was glad that Soufeel assured that I won't have a problem with their shipping method; thus I spent hours browsing through their website to check out their products.

First off, I have to say that Soulfeel's website is beautiful and elegant, even without looking at their products, you'll already be enticed. Not to mention their regular promos and the idea of free shipping!

Starbuck's Coffee Seminar featuring Kape Vinta

There are a lot of everyday things and food that we use and take every day that most of us don’t have the time to take notice of. One example is coffee, which has been people’s best friend in the mornings for centuries now. But have you ever thought of giving attention to what is going on, the history and the nitty-gritty details behind your favorite morning drink before you chug it down?

I was enjoying my favorite Iced Café Mocha while reading my emails and browsing through my social media  in one of the branches of Starbucks when a staff approached me and asked me if I want join the Coffee Seminar they are having inside the store. I hesitated at first and then she told me it will only take 20 minutes or so. I thought to myself I can spare 20 minutes so I gave in.

Toby’s Estate Coffee Roasters Experience

The proliferation of hipsters has become a new trend and people are surely embracing this way of life; and then come the third wave coffee shops. You might wonder why I associate hipsters with coffee; it is probably because hipsters are going against the norm and so is this new trend in coffee. Third wave coffee according to Wikipedia.com refers to a current movement to produce high-quality coffee, and consider coffee as an artisanal foodstuff, like wine, rather than a commodity. This involves improvements at all stages of production, from improving coffee plant growing, harvesting, and processing, to stronger relationships between coffee growers, traders, and roasters, to higher quality and fresh roasting, at times called "microroasting" (by analogy with microbrew beer), to skilled brewing.

It aspires to the highest form of culinary appreciation of coffee, so that one may appreciate subtleties of flavor, varietal, and growing region - similar to other complex consumable plant-derived products such as wine, tea and chocolate. Distinctive features of third wave coffee include direct trade coffee, high-quality beans, single-origin coffee (as opposed to blends), lighter roasts, and latte art. It also includes revivals of alternative methods of coffee preparation, such as vacuum coffee and pour-over brewing devices (which Starbucks uses for their Reserve coffee blends).

SheIn.com Summer Promotion + Porcelain Trend

I’ve been seeing a lot of porcelain prints in online stores lately and after doing some internet website hopping of fashion sites I found out that it is one of the trends for Spring-Summer. Porcelain is actually the ceramic material and fine China’s pottery. Different colors are actually used to design it before glazing but the hand-painted blue-white combo designs are the most popular ones and so it was dubbed generally as porcelain.

The porcelain design in clothing has a very light and airy feel to it not to mention it looks so delicately feminine. It is perfect for summer because of the blue shade reminds you of the sea and sky and the white is a summer staple color. This print is versatile enough to work with any types of clothing pieces and cuts. I’ve seen them in both casual and formal wears and it sure is a head-turner.  Effortlessly compliment the porcelain prints with accessories in neutral colors like Nude or you can opt for solid white and solid blue.

Ericdress' Mermaid Lace Wedding Dresses – The Knock Out Combo

If you have noticed weddings have become a mainstream event nowadays. Although it is one of the most important moments a person would experience, it wasn’t as extravagant and detailed unlike before. You can ask seasoned couples about their weddings and some would tell you they just married at the city hall and then celebrated the reception in a restaurant; some got married and churches and had a ballroom reception but not close to how detailed, quirky and unique today’s weddings are.
The wedding dresses of the brides back then are just traditional and designs weren’t as exorbitant and intricate. As long as it’s white they are good to go. Unlike now that the wedding dress is a critical part of any wedding. But if you don’t have the budget to splurge on a Michael Cinco, a Vera Wang or a Monique Lhuillier, you always have an option of looking for cheap wedding dresses online or look for a seamstress that can do your gown for you in a much lower prize.

Those Oh-So Fine Things You Call Bling-Blings

Besides clothes, jewelries have adorned the human body even during the ancient times. Jewelries depict status quo. Our society has an elaborate history when it comes to dealing with them, like for ancient Rome, only those who have military ranks and elite citizens could wear rings. Culture also played a significant role where only women are allowed to wear earrings but now even men are permitted to do so. Jewelries can also be a symbol of bravery for some culture and tribes for example with the use of body piercings. And let’s not to forget the rise of the term “bling-bling” which is an extravagant display of fine jewelries (take note that that is plural) by men and women alike.

There are a lot of body adornments that can be considered as jewelry such as rings, earrings, necklaces, bracelets, watches, brooches, tiaras, crowns, anklets, etc. Precious metals combined with gemstones and/or semi-precious stones are what normally used to form them. But since it is an evolving industry and mode of fashion, even seashells, pearls, leathers and sometimes even plants are being used to form jewelries.

ZNU.com's Father’s Day Sale

Well you know that almost every trait that we have genetically predisposed; even the way we dress up or style ourselves. You can take from your mom or your dad especially if one is more stylish or fashion-conscious. As for me I guess I take from my grandmother, she’s a very stylish woman and never wants to get caught on camera without her all dressed and made-up. But some of you might be looking up to your mom or your dad.

Father’s Day is just around the corner and I know for sure you are planning a get-together lunch or dinner with your fam-bam to honor your dads. I bet you love your dad, and you want him to be proud of you, her princess. Well how can you that? One way is to dress modestly, so that he will be at peace that no one will cat-call you because you’re wearing something too revealing.

Sheinside.com is now SheIn.com! This is your virtual shopping place to help you shine out through fashion. Passion, creativity, dedication and hardwork – these are the virtues exemplified by the participants of the first ever Pizza Wars: CPK Philippines Pizza Chef Competition. California Pizza Kitchen has been in our shores since 1998, but it is only now that such a battle, specifically for creating new gourmet pizza flavors, took place.

The contest participants  were pizza chefs from all the Metro Manila branches of California Pizza Kitchen. After the semi-finals, 3 chefs, already considered winners, emerged among all those who partake of the said Pizza Wars. They are Chef Romel of CPK Alabang, Chef Leia of CPK Eastwood and Chef JC aka Ople of CPK Trinoma.

Madison Reed’s Summer Survival Checklist

No matter what, summer is probably my favorite season of the year. Even though the heat can sometimes be unbearable, I wouldn’t exchange it for rainy days because I have the chance to do a lot of things unlike if it rains and would usually confine me at home. Nothing else comes to my mind when I think about summer but the beach. It is already the start of the rainy season in the Philippines but being a country that lies onto the Tropic belt, summer will always be 365 days a year for us Filipinos. My country is composed of 7,107 islands and you can only imagine how long our coastline is and how many beaches we have in our country.

I was only able to go to the beach once this summer but it was such a memorable trip. Whenever I hit the beach, I make it a point to be always ready and bring all the necessary things that I need for me to have fun under the sun yet still protected and stylish. And yes, I do have a checklist of what I would bring during a trip to beach. But before I spill my summer essentials, let me share with you this infographic from Madison Reed which their version of their Summer Survival Checklist.

Super Duck Modern Tea Shop

Besides coffee, I am also an avid tea drinker. But when tea is mixed with milk and other flavors, it’s totally a different story. There was a time when I used to drink milk tea almost every day; I got so addicted to it that I started thinking, are they putting something to these milk teas that I suddenly had so much craving for them? Although I must admit I’ve gotten so bored of all the milk teas I‘ve tasted because they either they taste all the same and that some are too sweet for my liking.

Good thing there are milk tea brands that are innovative enough, with what they have to offer, to stand out from the crowd. Super Duck Modern Tea Shop is one of them. I’ve never heard of this milk tea store until last week probably because their stores are mostly Quezon City-based (D. Tuazon, ABS-CBN The Loop, and SM Cyberwest) and though I live near Ortigas, their AIC Burgundy Building branch is also unfamiliar to me because I rarely go to Robinson’s Galleria anymore.

Purple Is The Color Of Royalty

Homecoming is a school event and honors the tradition of welcoming back alumni of a certain school. It is a tradition in many universities, colleges and high schools especially in the United States and other western countries. Although in my country, we don’t usually celebrate it just like in the west, I believe homecoming in the Philippines is done in a more casual way, say, just like an ordinary get-together or school reunion. I haven’t attended one just yet but I am looking forward to that.

By the way, a homecoming event should not be confused with prom, as they occur at different times of the year. In the United States and other western countries that celebrate it as a formal event, Homecoming usually occurs in the fall, and prom usually occurs in the spring. And I know for a fact that people from these countries are always looking forward to the Homecoming dance which is the culminating event of the week (for high schools). Since it can be formal or informal event, the Homecoming dance attire is more semi-formal than prom. Women may wear knee length dresses or long dresses depending on what outfit ideas they have in mind. But it’s almost summer in the Northern hemisphere, and fall or autumn comes next so I know some of you are already preparing for your Homecoming 2015 events.

Shein.com's Love Encountered Everywhere

One of my favorite Bible verses is 1 Corinthians 13:13 which states: “And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.” This for me is one of the best verses because of the truth that comes with it. Love is defined in so many ways and our current world views have twisted the idea of love that sometimes it degrades its real meaning and value.

Love should be shown and shared anywhere and everytime even in simplest ways possible so that we can encounter love everywhere. So how can one do that? How about flashing a smile to someone you come across while walking to work, or just saying hi or hello might brighten up somebody’s day. Sometimes we tend to ignore beggars thinking they are under some syndicate, so that hinders us from giving. This time why not just give and forget about what is behind these people are asking for help, I mean like, just give.

That Blue Dress from SheIn.com

We have different ways of coping up with stress; mine is quite costly because I tend to go on a retail therapy to somehow make me feel better. Should I feel sorry about spending money with something that makes me happy? I guess not and I bet you would agree with me on that.

Remember I said in my past posts that I won’t be purchasing anything online if the store is an international one because of the problems I’ve been having with customs in claiming my packages. Well, that’s only if I buy something and have it ship via postal mail, but when I use other shipping options like DEPEX or ARAMEX, I don’t have to pay for any customs fee whatsoever and the great thing is that it gets deliver straight to my house. Although I have to pay for the expedited shipping unlike if it’s via standard mail which is usually free.

Yakimix Prime at Bonifacio High Street

I’ve always been a fan of buffet restaurants and it’s a good thing that there are more and more of this type of  dining destinations sprawling in the metro in the past few years; that are offering new  & unique dishes and ways to enjoy great food. Yakimix has been around for quite some time now and they are known for their offerings of variety of Japanese and other Asian dishes plus the smokeless indoor grilling. I was able to try their Greenbelt 3 branch a few years ago and enjoyed it. Last week, I went with my colleagues at their upscale branch in Global City Fort Bonifacio which they cleverly named: Yakimix Prime.

So you might ask what’s the difference with the ordinary Yakimix and Yakimix Prime. Besides the latter’s upscale location and interiors, they serve more food choices and uses better ingredients AND unlimited (yes you read that right) Wagyu beef slices for grilling! I bet that caught your attention especially if you’re a grilled beef fan.

Summer Essential: The Playsuit

Playsuits were immensely popular in the 70’s and 80’s. Now, they have made their long-awaited return on the fashion scene. The combination of versatility, comfort and stylishness is definitely the winning combination. This practical but trendy piece of clothing can be worn in myriad of ways.

How to wear it?
You can always play with the classic style, wearing a solid playsuit with statement jewelry or other bold accessories. On the other hand, print and bright colours go well together with this lovely piece of clothing. Keep it simple but sophisticated with a white playsuit and a statement black coat fulfilled with a silver pointed toe pumps. For the casual wear, choose a vibrant playsuit, a statement piece of jewelry and high heels boots. A leopard-print playsuit and a solid colour crop cardigan paired with a golden belt and a mahogany wide-brimmed hat is an unbeatable combination. A ¾ sleeved playsuit with horizontal stripes and nude roman sandals is a simple but stylish look. A spaghetti strap playsuit worn atop a white crop top with black horizontal stripes and accessorized with a black wide-brimmed hat and Lennon sunglasses is the perfect combination for the casual wear. For summer festivals, choose a white romper, a colourful kimono atop, a boho necklace and white sandals.
