I am pretty much in love with wearing dresses… throughout the year 2014 I have successfully overhauled my collection of dresses from zero to almost half of my closet rack is full of dresses. I have never been to a black-tie event and I would love to attend one. I enjoy themed events because I believe it’s what makes a party or a gathering unique and memorable. I actually miss being in school, not studying per se which is the hardest part of being a student. But when you start working and you work your butt off to earn a living you will realize how much life was easier when you were still studying and just waiting for your allowance to be given to you. My favorite time during school year would be during field trips and school fairs because during these times, we get to have a breather from studying and doing home works and projects. I know you thought I would say that my favorite would be the school dance or homecoming or prom. Back in high school, prom wasn’t such a big deal in our school. Gosh thank goodness, I lost all of my photos during my high school prom because I didn’t want the way I look during those times hehehe! Well, my fashion sense back in those days weren’t as fashion forward as I thought it was.

Celine Trapeze-Inspired Bag and Echopaul.com Review

I am super duper excited with my new bag! This Celine Trapeze-inspired bag is one of my birthday wish list that I was able to get for myself for my birthday. Oh the luxury of sleep… I miss sleeping as much as I want to without worrying that I need to get up and get ready for work. I love to sleep but my current work and other things that I get busy about don’t permit me to sleep as much as I want to. That's why even if we don’t have the poshiest place to live we make sure that we get a comfortable sleep especially when our world is turned around because we work at night and sleep during the day.

We just took what we can get from my husband's house and from mine so that we can have a decent bed. But when we had the chance, we bought a good spring mattress and my husband constructed our bed from scratch. And of course we bought quality linens too, those with high thread counts that I have no idea what these thread counts on linens even do for us.

For most school girls, even at the start of the school year, they already look forward to the upcoming prom and homecoming events. As early as now, I bet they’re already planning their outfits for those two major events a female high school student will ever experience.

Roots Market Bistro

I don’t know if it’s just a fad but there has been an increase of farm-to-table restaurants sprawling in Metro Manila. I only pass by them usually because most of them are on the high-end side and most often than not are way beyond my budget when dining out. But when we were in Greenhills, San Juan (one weekend) we were drawn to this new restaurant in the newly renovated Promenade Mall which is called Roots Market Bistro.

First and foremost, what enticed us to try this restaurant is the ambiance and the decorations; the wood tables, benches and lighting looks really nice and cozy. And you guys probably already know I’m a sucker for restaurants with great ambiance and those that are Instagram-worthy.

Wardrobe Must-Have: Silk Camisoles

Even though I love fashion, I am not very technical about it. I try as much as possible to learn or ask about certain stuff and to know the difference between one type of apparel from another. Like for example, what’s the difference between trousers and pants or crop tops and tank tops and camisoles or chemise. Speaking of camisoles, I did a little research about it and found out that a camisole is a sleeveless undergarment for women, normally extending to the waist and is usually made of satin, nylon, cotton, Lycra, spandex or silk.

A camisole or cami is a loose-fitting sleeveless woman's garment which covers the top part of the body but is shorter than a chemise. A camisole normally extends to the waist but is sometimes cropped to expose the midriff, or extended to cover the entire hip region. Camisoles are usually manufactured from light materials because they are commonly and/or originally used as undergarments but recently camisoles have been known to be used as a fashionable clothing item as it is.

Happy New Year everyone! A new year means new chances and opportunities to better ourselves for the future. The mistakes and downfalls of the past year should now be contained in a box and put at the far end of our memory, but lessons it brought should be carried over to the new year ahead. But we all know like any other formal wear we often times don’t get to use them afterwards. Sleep in Silk

Whether we want to admit it or not, most of us and most of the time, we take for granted the quality of sleep that we get and so is what we wear when we sleep. Are you the type who will wear what you wore the entire day to sleep? Or change into PJs or an old oversized shirt? Well I am guilty of the latter, sometimes I just used an old-worn-out-oversized shirt of my husband to use as my sleeping clothes but most of the time I changed into a tank top and shorts before I go to sleep. Bigbelly's is a family-owned chain of restaurants of the Sto. Tomas family that has roots in Lipa, Batangas and the food business isn't a new thing for them. They started with a kiosk in front of University of Asia and the Pacific (formerly named Orange Chicken) and then the family ventured out with a new set of menu and business name at some of the food court offices in BGC and Pioneer. Now they have 3 full-scale restaurants in Lipa, UP Los Banos and the newest addition is located at Robinson's Cybergate Pioneer.

Charaptor BBQ Bar & Grill: Unleash The Carnivore In You!

It was my sister's idea that we celebrate her birthday by treating us on a barbecue buffet but we won't be buying the meats and grilling them at home, instead we went all the way to San Antonio Village in Makati to look for this buffet restaurant called Charaptor. I've seen this restaurant popping in my Facebook news feed once in awhile and have been meaning to try it but I haven't got the chance until my sister suggested it.

Charaptor is I think the first of its kind in the Philippines. I have not encountered a barbecue buffet restaurant ever but this one I really got to try. If you're not familiar in the area, Charaptor is kinda hard to locate especially that Makati City have too many one-way streets that if you make a wrong turn you could end up getting lost so the best thing to do is use Google maps or Waze.

Vikings Luxury Buffet Restaurant has recently opened their 6th branch at SM Jazz Mall in Makati. During the day one to six of the launch (Dec 19-25), they had this promotion that the first 100 walk-in customers who will line up for both lunch and dinner will enjoy 60% off of their total bill and the and all the other customers after the first 100 will get 20% discount.

We lined up at Vikings during lunch on Dec. 24th. When we got there I thought we would still be part of the first 100 customers, but to my dismay I found out that we were almost one of the last few persons to line up. We were kinda worried that we won’t be accommodated because of the number of people who had the same idea like ours to just have their pre-Christmas lunch at Vikings . The line was so long that others who have lined up decided not to push thru and left. Fortunately enough there were a lot of customers who reserved seats that didn’t show up.
