Filipino Food Re-Imagined at Soleras

Creativity is something that Filipinos don’t lack and it’s evident in a so many ways. And yes, even though this pandemic or even in toughest times. Especially when it comes to food, need I say more about turning pandesal into different flavors, all the baked sushi variants etc. We never stop reimagining nor reinventing especially with Filipino cuisine. ⁣

Recently, I visited this very unique and newly opened restaurant in Banawe, Quezon City called 𝐒𝐨𝐥𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐬. This restaurant screams nothing but being unique. Why? First, it’s inside a store that sells hardware and construction tools & products. If women make their boyfriends/husbands wait when they go shopping, let’s just say the table would be turned this time around. But women who will accompany their significant others who’s busy looking at tools won’t be bored, and they can just try out the food that Soleras is offering. Of course, you can bring the whole family too! ⁣

What Should You Do With Your Valuables When You Travel?

There are plenty of things to sort out when you choose to travel. However, one overlooked thing is what you should do with your valuables. You've all got certain things that are valuable to you in one way or another. They might be expensive, rare, or sentimental. So, what should you do with these valuables when you travel? Truthfully, there are four different options to consider...

Bring them with you
Option number one is to take your valuables with you. This might make sense depending on what your valuables are. If you have an expensive laptop or camera, you're probably going to bring them with you anyway. However, it doesn't make much sense to take a family heirloom on your travels! Often, bringing things with you will only increase the odds of them being stolen or lost.

Sakura Hanami - Maginhawa QC

Hanami, translates to flower viewing, a centuries old tradition of having a picnic under cherry blossom trees. Sakura Hanami aims to bring a piece of this Japanese culture, by treating guests to a visual representation of this much-loved tradition. Hence, you will spot a faux cherry blossom tree outside of the café and the ceiling and walls are full of faux pink flowers. The place and the drinks are super IG-worthy! ⁣

Moreover, I’ve tried a lot of milk teas since it has become a trend and a staple drink in the Philippines; but I must say there are only a few that really stand out and one of them is Sakura Hanami. I’ve heard of it and got invited by friends to visit but never got the chance only until last weekend. And it was really nice afternoon to spend on catching up. ⁣⁣
