Sakura Hanami - Maginhawa QC

Hanami, translates to flower viewing, a centuries old tradition of having a picnic under cherry blossom trees. Sakura Hanami aims to bring a piece of this Japanese culture, by treating guests to a visual representation of this much-loved tradition. Hence, you will spot a faux cherry blossom tree outside of the café and the ceiling and walls are full of faux pink flowers. The place and the drinks are super IG-worthy! ⁣

Moreover, I’ve tried a lot of milk teas since it has become a trend and a staple drink in the Philippines; but I must say there are only a few that really stand out and one of them is Sakura Hanami. I’ve heard of it and got invited by friends to visit but never got the chance only until last weekend. And it was really nice afternoon to spend on catching up. ⁣⁣

Me and my “aunties” tried Sakura Hanami’s best-selling drinks:

Traditional Cherry Blossoms Tea – hot tea with real and edible Cherry Blossoms flowers. You mix it with honey-sugar mixture and drink hot or warm. My gosh, it was so good and had a very fruity and flowery taste. I mean if I can have this every day, I’ll be a happy camper. ⁣

Lava Pearl Latte – super milky and tasty since it uses Emborg full cream milk. Must try too! ⁣

Peach Paradise Fruit Tea – green tea, real peach slices and chia seeds. This was also super good and refreshing. It’s my favorite among the 4 drinks that we tried. ⁣

Cookie Butter Milk Tea – cookie butter is one of my favorite things in the world! I eat it as is, super rare that I spread it on bread. And in milk tea form, OMG count me in! Super love it since there’s a balance of sweetness from the cookie butter and the strong milk tea flavor which I prefer. ⁣

It's been a while since I’ve drink milk tea that made me go “oh wow this is good” one flavor after the other! And my girlfriends also had the same reaction! Super must try ang milk teas nila! The size of the cups pa na 1 liter OMG lang diba? Whole day ko siguro to bago ko maubos.

I wish they would open somewhere in Pasig or Eastwood para malapit sa akin. Aside from their Maginhawa branch, you can also find Sakura Hanami at Banawe, Bocaue, Taft, and UST. ⁣
