I wish when I have the opportunity to finally go to South Korea I can visit most of the places I’m planning to visit. But since there’s so much to do and see, a mere week stay wouldn’t suffice. Besides doing a BTS location pilgrimage of some sort and hopefully watch the BTS concert in Busan this October, these are the attractions that are quite the priority for me to visit in South Korea:
Gyeongbokgung - first, largest and main royal palaces of the Joseon dynasty. Built in 1395, it is located in northern Seoul, South Korea. I would love to wear a hanbok the traditional and national costume of of South Korea while touring Gyeongbokgung (it's not Gyeongbokgung palace btw, because gung means palace in Korean)
Shaved ice desserts are popular in most Asian countries, whether it’s a summer snack, an off shoot brought about by winter in northern Asian countries or just a year-round after meal must-eat. Japan has its “kakigori,” South Korea has “bingsu,” “ais kacang” in Malaysia, “che ba mau” in Vietnam, Thailand has “namkhaeng sai,” Taiwan has “tshuah-ping,” and the Philippines has the infamous “Halo-Halo” – just to name a few. Perhaps these shaved ice desserts were made because they are refreshing, cooling, and soothing and sends your happy hormones to overdrive.
Nobody can really pinpoint how shaved ice desserts originated in the Philippines, but some say that it was the Japanese who introduced it to the Filipinos and not the Chinese – who had settlements in the Philippines even before other countries conquered the archipelago and have their own version of a shaved ice dessert called “baobing”. As time passes, more native ingredients were added to the Filipino shaved iced thus acquiring the name “halo-halo” which means a mix of things/ingredients.

Dubai
There is probably no city in the Middle East that is as activity-packed and vibrant as Dubai. It is where you get to see some of the most superlative and record-breaking sights, such as the tallest of its kind Burj Khalifa, the highest of its kind Ain Dubai (observation wheel), the largest of its kind Dubai Frame, and the deepest of its kind Deep Dive Pool. With a whole heap of leisure attractions, you can further buy Legoland Dubai tickets or sign up for a Museum of the Future tour for that added fun and entertainment. Unsurprisingly, Dubai has always remained a popular destination for tourists, particularly sightseers and families traveling with kids.
Comfortable, classy, and never goes out of style – the vintage style bedroom is something most girls dream of. Since antique chic is making a comeback, more furniture brands are making pieces that mimic the classic lines of old solid-wood furniture. Check out these tips to bring a dash of vintage to your bedroom.
Embrace Dark Finishes
The first thing we tend to think about when we mention a vintage design, is old, decorative furniture made from dark solid wood. Dark finishes exude luxury, and will definitely give your bedroom a warm, vintage feel to it. Stain your hardwood floors in a deep hue, and watch it make your antique furniture pop. To add extra drama, choose any jewel-toned paint for your walls. This is particularly practical if you have a small bedroom full of dark furniture, since light-colored walls may make it seem smaller.
I’ve been a fan of Eat Low Brow group of restaurants ever since I tried Bad Bird because they truly deliver when it comes to taste and flavor. And for so long, I’ve been wanting to try their Flowerboy because a good Thai cuisine serving place is hard to come by.
Fortunately, a friend of mine happen to go to Rockwell Powerplant Mall and we had a late lunch at The Grid Food Hall. Inside the food hall we found Stall No. 3 aka Flowerboy which serves non-traditional Thai food with local influences.
CBD has many benefits to customers, both physical and mental. Physically, it can deal with muscle aches and pains. It can target inflammation and soreness, something we will all encounter on multiple occasions in our lives. The most common type of skin conditions it is beneficial for, that people are aware of is eczema, psoriasis and acne. If you suffer from these skin conditions and struggle to find a remedy that works, then perhaps this could be a good shot.
Mentally, CBD increases our levels of serotonin, which controls our moods and behaviour. Taking CBD has been known to help with anxiety and depression too. We have found the best CBD gummies for depression. They are recommended by many CBD enthusiasts, including Dr Laura Geigaite.
My travels have always revolved around food and what else is there to experience culture and get to know a place than explore the local cuisine. It’s not only BTS that is my driving force to visit South Korea, but also the Korean cuisine. You have no idea how long I have been dreaming of the day to eat legit/authentic Korean food! And I hope I can cross that off my bucket list soon!
My planned itinerary is Seoul-Daegu-Gangwon-Busan. I want to try the famous local dishes native to each place.
Although brushing your hair is something that you do on a daily basis, it’s highly likely you don’t pay a lot of attention to it. However, unsuitable brushing and an improper hair brush can lead to your hair being damaged. By choosing the right hair brush suited for your hair type and texture and using it the proper way, you’ll be more successful in attaining your ideal hair look. Here, you’ll find out more about what is essential in choosing the right brush for your hair.
Characteristics to consider
Keep in mind that bristles define a hair brush. Synthetic, nylon bristles can best be used for detangling thick, curly hair. Even though there are some brushes that have metal bristles, they can feel harsh both on your scalp and hair. On the other hand, wooden bristles are gentle and can function well on dry hair. If you have normal and thin hair and you want to make sure your hair isn’t damaged during brushing, try using a brush with boar bristles as they are soft and grant a silky look.
Even if you’ve never attended the Sinulog Festival yourself, you’ve probably already seen images of the colorful costumes, grand processions, and spirited dances that characterize this iconic cultural celebration. Every year, millions of people flock to Cebu City to participate in what has become one of the Philippines’ best-known and most highly-attended festivals. The sheer amount of excitement and anticipation surrounding the event is sure to have outsiders wondering what it’s all about.
Sinulog is held on the third Sunday of January each year in Cebu City, with various events and activities peppered throughout the days preceding the main event. The festival celebrates and honors the Santo Niño, or the image of the Child Jesus, who is considered the patron of Cebu Province. Sinulog highlights include a Pontifical Mass celebrated at the local basilica, a grand parade, and various street parties.
When I was kid, I am one of those who enjoy both outdoor games and indoor games. Unlike the generation that followed mine, I was still able to enjoy both worlds; because nowadays especially when the pandemic happened, kids can’t play outside so most of them are stuck at home, either glued to the television or computer or their tablets.
Vivid memories come flashing back of afternoons or after school where I would just hurriedly change to my home clothes so I can meet my childhood friends just to play outside. Name it, I have played almost all known outdoor games of my generation: kick ball, heaven and earth, tag, hide and seek and others. Me and my friends also loved rollerblading along our street or biking around the neighborhood.
