Some people reward  themselves by eating out, going to spas, collecting stuff, buying shoes or bags or travelling. But as for me, shopping for clothes are my kind of retail therapy. Lace Meets the Sea

There is always a first time for everything. We get either excited or scared when we’re about to do or experience something for the first time; but once you’re already there you forget all the emotions of doing and experiencing that first time. You just be in the moment. For the first time in my years of existence I was able to set foot in Mindanao. Mindanao is the southernmost island of the 3 major islands groups that make up the Philippines.  I’ve been to Siargao earlier this year and it’s part of Mindanao but it’s not mainland Mindanao, so I can’t really consider being to the 3 major islands. Until the third day week of August 2015. I flew from rainy Manila and more than an hour later set foot in sunny and fair-weathered  Davao City. And finally I am able to say, I’ve somehow been all-over the Philippines.

I will save the other details of Davao 2015 trip for my later posts though. My itinerary included a trip to Pearl Farm Beach Resort which is in Samal Island, still a part of Davao. I just went for a day tour and the place was downright luxurious and beautiful. But I’m going to leave you hanging because I’m going to share that on my future post and this post is actually about this dress/beach cover up I wore to Pearl Farm and when I was in Pearl Farm.

Every one of us have at some point dreamt of owning their own homes. Whether you will work hard to earn money to buy it or you’re lucky enough to have parents or relatives that will gift you a house, owning one gives you a sense of security and freedom. I believe many of us don’t want to live with our parents or relatives or rent a place like forever. It’s not about having to brag to your family and friends that you have your own home, for me it’s more of the security and freedom that it gives.  

When thinking about buying my own house in the near future, I have 5 places in the Philippines where I want to buy properties. They are Pasig City, Makati City, Tagaytay, Puerto Princesa and Bohol. I want to buy a house in Pasig City because there is where I was born and raised. Pasig will always be special in my heart and I will always be a true-born and cold-blooded Pasigueña. Buying a property in Makati is more of an investment, since it is very near the business districts you’re sure that the value of your house will appreciate over the years. Not to mention it’s where I also work and having to travel less time will save money and energy.

Feta Mediterranean Restaurant

I love being a Filipino and I love Pinoy food, but there are times when I really don't want to eat another serving of sinigang or adobo and my palate is looking for something different. Being a working woman, most of the time I get to eat only what’s available from our office pantry or from nearby fast-food and casual dining restaurants – which to be honest have a very limited variety and  it slowly gets unappealing. Sometimes you just want to try something out just to break the monotony and you would probably agree with me when I say that once you satisfied your craving for some foreign cuisine, it’s oh so fulfilling.

It’s been awhile since I really got to eat something under the category of Mediterranean food, if I can even call it that from where I usually get my middle eastern palate fix from. I don’t know if one of my blogger friends, Aldous of aldousatetheworld.com is some psychic or what because it was so timely that he invited me in one of the food tasting event he was organizing featuring Feta Mediterranean Restaurant in Annapolis, Greenhills in San Juan.

Homecoming Dresses 2015 by Cocomelody

I am someone who loves to dress up especially if I have enough time to prepare and choose outfits. If I am attending an event, say like a wedding or a party; I always plan a complete outfit (and yes, that is from head-to-toe) weeks in advance and sometimes way to ahead. I’m really keen on that subject.
 

Unfortunately during my prom, I wasn’t able to really put a good thought on my outfit.  From what I can remember, my mama and I just went to the mall and picked something off the rack and had my make up done in a neighborhood salon. So you probably guessed it right that until this day, I dread seeing photos of me taken during my prom.

Quirky Cool Bedroom

I want to believe that I am an old soul and I have a knack for quirky stuff. I may not entirely embody the vintage aesthetics but I am surely drawn to it. I love watching anything about World War II and the eras of 1920s and the 1950s. If I could get into a time machine and go back in time, I would probably visit those times in history. 

When time comes and I’ve been blessed to own a home that is really mine. I will probably decorate them with all things vintage and quirky. I kind of love that interior design idea nowadays; if I could I would probably make my future home a mix of quirky and shabby chic, just like the cute cafés I’ve visited and have been seeing online.

H2004 Ventures Inc. was formed in 2012 by five Ateneo friends who wanted to undertake a food business together. Four of the five co-owners (Abraham Castro, Gabriel Sobrepena, Joey Reyes and Rammy de Claro) were classmates since Ateneo High School while Paolo Layug was an adopted member of the group when they met in college.
 

Early in the planning stage, they initially wanted to franchise a buffalo wings place. However, circumstances steered them in the direction of creating their own brand with a distinctively unique selling proposition instead – cooking and selling from a Food Truck. 3 years later they have their very own concept restaurants one in BGC and one in Pasig City.
