The Yard at Xavierville: Tokyo Tempura

Filipinos love to eat, that’s why the food industry here is steadily growing for years. Malls and town centers are rising up from the ground like mushrooms filled with both old and new restaurants. Also, I have noticed that after the success of Maginhawa, Lilac and Kapitolyo, a lot of food parks are springing around the metro. This is great because you can just go to one place, eat and try different kinds of food and cuisines to your heart’s content. Something new and a far cry from going to a single restaurant. Yeah, talk about food tripping!

Just like this newly opened gastropark in QC: The Yard at Xavierville. The yard is a 3-floor food park built from steel shipping containers. The first and second levels contain the 30 vendors offering almost every type of food and cuisine you can think of – from appetizers, to mains, to drinks and desserts. At the third level is just an al-fresco dining area where customers can stay when the seats at the first and second floors are full.

Modabridal UK Shoes: 80% Sass + 20 % Glitter

I love shoes and I know a lot you girls love them too. I am no where close to Imelda Marcos though; but I have a lot. Since I am petite I often buy heels to make myself look taller. Heels also gives that ultra-feminine vibe and makes you feel like a complete lady. Take it from Marilyn Monroe when she said: “Give a girl the right shoes, and she can conquer the world.” And I completely agree with her.

I rarely wear high-heels nowadays, I don’t know if I am already too old for them but since I commute to and fro from my where I work, wearing high heels is not a pretty good option. I’m also kinda lazy to bring a pair of heels so I can wear them when I arrive at work and then just remove them before I go home. Although I once in a while I do wear heels especially when I am to attend a very special occasion or event; or when I really need to be dressed up.

Gamiss.com Haul #1 + Review

So here is the long and short of things: my current obsessions are rompers and maxi dresses. If you have seen my past hauls from other online clothing shop you'll know I've been shopping for rompers and maxi dresses lately. I want to hoard a lot of them for future travel ootds! Naks! I've been talking about having a fund of outfits for my planned trips this year and the next with one of my bffs; because yeah we are like that.

Anyway, I stumbled upon this website called Gamiss, which is a fairly new online shop, and I found a couple of items that I really like. But I decided to get just two items just to try the shopping experience for this site.

Agave Mexican Cantina - BGC High Street

Can you believe it that I am always around BGC and I work in BGC but only now that I get to try Agave Mexican Cantina. One of mu college buddies and I decided to go strolling at High Street one weekend for book hunting during Fullybooked's annual book sale. We ended up buying clothes though instead of books. We got hungry after a couple of hours of walking and window shopping and we both started to crave for Japanese food. Unfortunately we cant find the Japanese resto I looked up on Zomato and we ended up at Agave.

Funny that books turned to clothes and Japanese turned to Mexican. It wasn't our first choice but we were surprised on how good and affordable the food at Agave Mexican Cantina was. So it was a blessing in disguise after all.

Zaful.com Haul #2 + Review

Well what do you know? I am back with another Zaful haul and another review from this wonderful online clothing shopping site. I love this website because they have super nice and stylish items that I ended up putting like 50 items on my wishlist cart. And I had sleepless nights thinking about whether to buy more from that wishlist.

And then the next few days I found myself adding four new items to my shopping cart and shopped away! www.zaful.com is a online apparel and accessories shop  that I visit once in a while. Only though that recently that I get to experience purchasing items from them. I like my first Zaful haul that I was not able to fight the urge to go for seconds.

Zaful.com Haul #1 + Review

Any female would agree that shopping is best therapy to any girl problems. Feeling down? Go shop. Having PMS? Go shop. Feeling heartbroken? Go shop. Feeling stressed? Go shop. Do you agree? If yes? Go shop. If no, still, go shop! Hahaha!

I'm feeling a bit under the weather lately and what do I do to take the blues away? I browse online for pretty little things. I know I have a lot of clothes and accessories already, but a girl will always be a girl. And a girl will always have the need to shop. I visited a couple of online stores lately and I stumbled upon www.zaful.com. I have a couple of online stores I visit regularly and this site is new to me, so I took my chances and ordered from them because their items pretty much caught my fancy.

Things You Should Know When Import Wedding Dress From China

You can get more profits if importing wedding dress from China, if you plan to purchase cheap and fine products for your bridal shop, China wedding dress market must be priority considered. But it is not easy for the new guys to import wedding dresses oversea, so many problems to consider in advance, such as the following.

Factory Production Time: Of course it is best to purchase satisfied products off the shelf directly, but most of the factories don’t have products in stock, stock of wedding dress is only as displayed in showroom. The production time of the wedding dress is about one month, however fast for other formal dress, such as cocktail dresses and simple evening dresses. The length of the production time depends on the complexity of the products and the factory’s production capacity. Usually, simpler products, shorter production time; larger factories and better equipment will make their production time shorter.

A Different Trumpet Challenge

There’s been a new dance craze making rounds in cyberspace called “The Trumpet Dance Challenge”.  I don’t know why that came to mind while writing this feature. Probably because I am thinking of this dress silhouette called trumpet or sometimes known as mermaid silhouette too.

Scoop Neck Lace Appliques Beading Court Train Mermaid Wedding Dress

A lot of considerations should be put into it and sometimes you get bombarded with too many ideas that you see on wedding websites, Pinterest, magazines etc., that most often than not, a bride gets too overwhelmed and frustrated. Most brides have the dilemma looking for that perfect dress and can’t decide what silhouette and style they would like to have for their height and body type.

Applebee's Grill and Bar - Eastwood City

I know Applebee's for years now; I've first seen it while watching the TV show Friday Night Lights where one of the characters, Julie Taylor (the girlfriend of quarterback Matt Seracen) in one of the seasons, was working at Applebee's. I have also heard it from relatives and friends who are living in the US. Ever since then, I have wished that someday I will be able to try eating there, when I go to the States or when they finally hit the shores of the Philippines.

Well after years of waiting, Applebee's Grill & Bar is now in the Philippines! It was franchised and brought to the Philippines by Global Restaurant Concept Inc. since mid-2015; but I was able to try it just this week at their newest branch in Eastwood City. The first time I saw Applebee's being constructed in Eastwood Citywalk, I got super excited; because I thought my dreams came true and Applebee's is finally here! It took a while for the Eastwood branch to be constructed because Applebee's is making a major re-vamped or their so-called "revitalization" concept, which includes changes to the restaurants such as remodeled interiors and exteriors with warmer color tones, contemporary designs; features specific to the neighborhood the restaurant serves; service improvements; and new food and drink selections.

Team Aldous Cooks x Manila Culinary and Hospitality Academy

Some people love to eat, some people love to cook, and then there are those who love to do both. Would it be nice if all of us foodies know not only to eat but also to cook our own gourmet dishes? So when I was invited to attend a 1 day culinary course at Manila Culinary and Hospitality Academy I didn't hesitate for a bit. I do know how to cook, but I only know the basics and only home-cooking from what I learned from my family who both loves to eat and cook. I thought to myself, this is something new and learning new things is good.

Manila Culinary and Hospitality Academy is partly owned by celebrity chef Boy Logro who has a cooking show in GMA channel 11. MCHA is an institution that provides world class culinary and hospitality education for students who want to be globally competent in the field. Its programs and courses are comprehensive, providing students the means to maximize their skills and passion for culinary and hospitality management.

Rosegal.Com Haul 1 + Review

I rarely go shopping nowadays but sometimes I give in to temptation especially when we're talking about clothes and accessories. If being rich can be measured by the amount of clothes and accessories that a person have, I would be probably one of the richest. Can you blame me for having too much clothes? I am just a girl and I am not sorry for being one nor being crazy about clothes.

I recently had a haul from this site called Rosegal. I've been seeing ads of this site on the internet and have browsed their products a couple of times already. But it is only recently that I got to experience shopping from this site. I love the items that they offer, prices of merchandise and shipping are very reasonable. The shipping time was also faster than the usual.

My Travel Essentials Wishlist From Banggood.com

I love to travel especially when my time and finances permits it. It is my dream to see the beauty of my country and the world. Travelling for me is the best educator there is. It leaves you nothing but new found experiences, knowledge and memories that you can keep as long as you live.

My only problem when it comes to travelling besides having a hard time getting approved for vacation leaves is that I am not a light packer. I believe I can never go back packing because I can’t go to any long distance trip without bringing all the things that I think is essential for me. I hate the feeling of needing something but I forgot to pack it. I also don’t like the feeling that I forgot something.

Grow Your Own Gourmet Mushrooms with Pot Hed Inc.

When I was growing up, our ancestral house had a huge garden with different kinds of floras and fauna, maintained by my grandma and my aunts. Sometimes some ingredients for our lunch and dinner will come from that garden. Having that in your own home puts some seed of wanting to have greens all around you every time and grow plants and flowers at the comforts of your own home.

When I was little there's a garden and landscaping shop near my school and I would save up and buy flowers in pots and try to grow them at home. Up until college, I would buy flowers whenever we drive down from Tagaytay. But guess what? All those plants eventually died. Unfortunately I am someone who does not have a green thumb! I even killed a cactus! Can you imagine that?!

HwaRoRo Korean Grill Buffet & Restaurant

Ohhh the buffet life... how can you not love it? So many food you can stuff inside your tummy  and just paying for fraction of what you should pay if you're dining ala carte. I recently visited this Korean Buffet and Grill in Tomas Morato called Hwaroro. I am not usually in this area of the metro because it's far from where I live but   my aunt brought us along one Saturday since she's meeting her friends there.

This is the first time I have heard and been to this place, though I am a bit familiar with other  more well-known Korean buffet restaurants. I am not really into Korean food because most them, from my the little knowledge I have of it, ate mostly spicy dishes. What I like though is their chapchae and grilled beef.

ShopBack PH: Shop Online and Get Your Cash Back!

Well if it's not obvious enough you all know how much I love shopping (and window shopping too) but nowadays I mostly do my shopping online. I rarely go to the mall just to browse the racks. If you catch me in the mall it's most likely that I am there doing errands than shopping. With my current work, I do not have the luxury to go malling and on weekdays I would rather rest at home or attend blogging events or hang out with friends than waste time walking around the mall.

That's why I love things that are on the go like online shopping --which I can do with my smartphone wherever and whenever. That's why I am thankful for sites like Lazada, Zalora, Aliexpress, Sephora Philippines, et al because they carry the brands that I would usually shop at without me trekking to the mall.

DevilPlus.com Haul + Review

one of the many perks of living in a country that lies on the equator and in tropics is that though monsoon season is inevitable, most of the time the weather is always sunny than gloomy. So one can always go for a swim in the nearby clubhouse or  go to the nearest beach on any given weekend.

Yep, it is a 365 days of summer where I live. That's why even if it is already the rainy season, I still buy swimwear whenever I see a pair or piece that I really like. I recently had a haul of swimsuits from this online store www.devilplus.com and today I'm going to share with you what I got from this site.

My Fashionmia.com Wishlist

Hi everyone! It's been a while since I had the time to window shop online (been busy for the past few weeks and surfing the net was least of my priorities) and it's one of the things that I love to do when I'm connected to the internet. Even if I don't buy all the things that I see online, I still love keeping them on my wishlist.

And you all probably know by now, if you've been constantly visiting my blog, that there's a couple online stores that I love checking out regularly. Now I think I'm adding a new one to my favorite online shops, introducing Fashionmia.com.

Chimara - Feel Good Kitchen at U.P. Town Center

I think I have tried most of the diet fads that ever existed to achieve better weight. But since I was born with a body that easily retains fat than loses it, my weight have yin-yanged through the years. I am not also able to sustain those diets as well. I read from somewhere that in order to maintain a healthy body or a certain diet, it should be part of your lifestyle.

To be honest I don't know if can ever go vegan or vegetarian. I love meats too much and I know I can't live without eating them. What I also know is that everything done in moderation is good. So what I do is try to balance the ratio of meats and veggies that I eat. But I am open for anything and I love trying new things. Just like trying this new restaurant in U.P. Town Center called Chimara Feel Good Kitchen.

Borough, The Podium x Team Aldous Bloggers Quiz Night!

Last weekend I attended Team Aldous' second Quiz Night event at Borough Bar located at Podium Mall, Ortigas Center, Pasig City. This is my second time to attend a quiz night and after being a part of the  winning team during my first quiz night, you bet that my competitive spirit was present. Of course I wanted to win it with my team so it was game face on!

All those who joined the quiz night were fellow bloggers, some I get to meet for the first time, some I only see online, and some I already know quite well. I was assigned by quiz master and Team Leader of #TeamAldous: Aldous Calubad of www.aldousatetheworld.com to team Titas of Manila with 3 other bloggers I've knownnfor quite some time now because we've already  attended a handful of events together.

Itty Bitty Mini-Skirts

It took me years to accept my petite height, ever since then I wished I would have grown 3-4 inches taller. Unfortunately both sides of my family really don't have that good height gene; both just have average heights and most of the women from both sides of the family are mostly petite.

There's a study that taller people have more advantages than shorter ones and I believe that to be true. For one it is a confidence booster, it's literally being able to stand tall. You're also being noticed easily - always. There's least chance for you being bullied or pushed around. Some jobs also require strict height requirements, so even if you're not that qualified you can sometimes get in.
