How to Make Your Trip Memorable

Travelling to a new destination brings along certain expectations, always making you look forward to meeting new people, seeing fascinating sights and so much more. Aside from being a typical tourist who’s thrilled to know as much as possible about the new place they are visiting, you’ll probably also want to make this and every future one the one for the books. Luckily, we know exactly how you can turn the originally average trip into an iconic holiday.

Become familiar with the destination
First and foremost, you should do thorough research on the country you’re going to visit. Not only should you know more about the culture itself, but also about all the hidden gems and unusual routes that not many people take. That way you’ll be able to explore the destination to the tiniest detail and maybe discover something you’d remember forever. By becoming familiar with the place you’re going to visit, you can create a plan of touring, write down all the places you want to visit and put together a detailed itinerary that will allow you to make every second count.

Beach season still seems far away, so you comfort yourself with layers of spring clothing hiding those winter-season extra pounds. Great Food and a Great View: Padi's Point Antipolo-Sumulong

There are far too many instances where people made joke about where I live. They say that this area of Pasig-Cainta boundary is already the countryside or the province. I clapback and say, “I live in the suburbs” haha! I’m really torn about living at the outskirts of Metro Manila/border of Rizal if we talk about the worst traffic jams in C5 especially that I have worked in Makati and now in BGC. It takes me forever to get to the heart of Metro Manila but I’ve been living in this area half of my life already that I’ve gotten so used to the hassles of travelling from where my family lives to any point in MM.

But you know what, there are perks that comes with living in this area. On a whim, I can go to Antipolo and enjoy a bit of nature. On a whim, I can go to somewhere in the city for any undertakings that I have to do. East siders will surely agree with me when I say we have the best of both worlds in this area.

Infuse Your Home Décor With Warmth With Veeyoo

When I was little, I had a fondness for doll houses. I would always play with the one my mother gifted my sister and I. I would also rearrange the little tiny furniture based on my liking and whenever we go to the mall, I would beg my mother to let me drop by a toy store so that I can look for things for my dolls that I can put in their doll house.

I also love playing house and my sister and I would rearrange our room to create a make shift house. The floor would serve as our living room and kitchen and our beds would serve as the second level of the house where we would combine the pillows to create mini beds. We would pretend to cook and eat using our kitchen utensils and cookware toys using either the plastic food toys or real food that we took from our home pantry.

MAXXimum Thrill and Fun at Lazer Maxx Greenhills

I am not someone who loves to do things involving physical activities. I’m way too lazy, I know. But sometimes if it fosters camaraderie and give me some fun and enjoyment, I will always consider. A few weeks ago I was invited to join my foodie friends for a food crawl which begun with a lazer tag activity at Greenhills.

At first I was hesitant to join, I don’t want to tire myself early on knowing that I will have a full day ahead of me. But I was already there and I thought what the heck, let’s just get it done and over with so that we can move to the next destination. We geared up, teamed up and received our instructions from the personnel manning the place.

5 Reasons You Should Add NYC to Your Bucket List

One of the most popular tourist destinations is definitely NYC. If you’re one of those who simply don’t like cliché destinations, then you are probably avoiding visiting NYC for the time being. Be that as it may, New York City is definitely a place that’s worth seeing at least once in your lifetime. It doesn’t matter that millions of tourists a year visit this metropolis, or that it’s the setting of every major blockbuster or TV show. But these are not good enough reasons for you to visit the Big Apple, right? What if we gave you a couple more reasons to do so?

It’s rich in landmarks
Obviously, the first thing that you will do once you come to New York is see the landmarks. This is definitely one of the most important reasons to visit this metropolis as all of the landmarks are very well worth seeing. The first thing you should check out is the Statue of Liberty. Yes, this is also a cliché, but it just doesn’t do to go there and not see it. Also, if you want to be a bit more artistic and find a great place for your Instagram photographs, you should check out the Grand Central Station. Once you check these two off your bucket list, you might proceed to visit any other landmark you wish.

Caramia’s New Joyful Summer Treat: The Limited Edition Mango Cream Pie

When you think of tropical fruits,  what's the first thing that comes to your mind? Well for me, I easily think about one fruit: Mango! Mango is my favorite fruit of all, almost all variety of it! Ripe, unripe, name it I'd eat it (except the mango-apple variety with that acrid taste). Also, I'd eat anything with mango in it; that's how much I love it!

The Philippines is, and I’m proud to say this, probably the best place where anyone can get or eat mangoes. Our country produces the best ones and foreigners can attest to that. I even know a Hong Kong-based dessert place that source their mangoes from Zambales and Pangasinan. And hello, Cebu and Guimaras… other places like the former two where you can get those oh so delicious fruit.

Corregidor Travel Diary: Corregidor Inn and La Playa Restaurant

People close to me, knows I love history, especially anything relating about World War II or military stories. I have discovered this fondness for history and the world wars when I was little, I picked and read from our ancestral house’s library, one photo book that depicts World War II. From then on, I got more and more curious about anything about military and warfare; that I read and watched all things relating to it as much as I could. I was very fascinated that it got to a point where I wanted to be a military nurse while I was studying nursing in college. But my height didn’t cut it, so that plan was ditched.

The Philippines is a country that had a major role during that time in our history because of our relations with the United States and also our ardor for democracy. And there are so many places here that are filled with stories that are linked to World War II. Corregidor is one of them. Corregidor is an island that can be found at the entrance of Manila Bay in the Philippines. Due to its very strategic location, it served as a naval defense station since the Spanish Era. It is 48 kilometers away from Manila and is shaped like a tadpole.

Game of Thrones Season 8 Premiere Viewing Party by Sky Cable, HBO Asia and Johnnie Walker

We’ve heard the Northerners say “winter is coming” for the last 7 seasons of Game of Thrones and now Winter has finally arrived in Westeros! After two years of waiting after the last episode of season 7, the premiere of the final season of Game of Thrones is at long last here! I know just like me, fans all over the world have waited for this day to come with both eagerness and dread in their hearts. As we all are excited to finally see this epic made-for-TV-movie come to fruition but also wishing it could have lasted longer than season 8.

The wait is over and the “watch has ended” for the fans of the Emmy-winning fantasy series "Game of Thrones" as the much-awaited premiere episode of the final season airs on April 15 (Monday) on HBO and its online streaming service HBO GO. I have been one of the lucky few to get invited to the Exclusive Viewing Party of GOT’s S08 E01 at the Johhny Walker House in Poblacion Makati that was put together by Sky Cable and Sky Broadband; HBO Asia and Johnnie Walker Philippines.

Sky Cable Brings HBO's Game Of Thrones-inspired “Fire Or Ice: A Musical Spectacle On Ice”

Ahhhh, Game of Thrones… it's been a fantastic 8 years, but you know what they say; all good things must come to an end. I’ve been following this epic TV series since 2011 and I’m having mixed emotions with the thought that it will be ending soon. I’m excited that the first episode of the last season is just a few days away, but I’m also sad that this is the last and final season. I wish it could run longer, but it’s all beyond our control.

I don’t think there will another TV series in the near future that will top up Game of Thrones when it comes to story, casting and most especially the computer effects and production. It’s out of this world if you ask me. George R. R. Martin said when everyone has left Westeros, he will still linger in that world. And I know for sure many of us fans will be the same. I will likely watch it again and again in the years to come, at least once a year or every other year just like what I did with Band of Brothers.

Thick, Long, and Full-Looking Hair in a Matter of Seconds

A woman’s hair is considered by many as her glory.  Ladies who do not have physically thick hair consider hair extensions are the blessing in disguise. Nowadays hair extension is getting used more common in our daily life because they offer volume and length to hair by joining real human or manufactured hair to the regular hair strands.

For me, my hair is one of my best assets. Some people compliment me because even if I don't have it rebonded or use a flat iron, it's straight most days. The only things lacking are some proper volume and thickness. So, whenever I want to curl my hair like those of celebrities and Victoria Secret models, I can't seem to achieve that no matter how much volumizing and curling products I use.

4 Reasons You Must Have Travel Insurance

Traveling is always so delightful. Even people who don’t like to travel would definitely want to do so with good company. Irrespective of whether we like to travel or not, each one of us has to pack. How many times do you pack and repack? There’s always that extra scarf that you can do without and still you try to pack as much as you can. But there’s one thing that you must definitely have on your travels and that is travel insurance.

Here are a few reasons why you absolutely must have travel insurance.
1. Reimbursement for your vacation investment
If you’ve planned a big trip then it’s obvious that you’ll have made the arrangements beforehand. Are you going on a cruise? You must have already made the cruise and travel bookings. Now imagine if you can’t go because of an emergency. You’ll have to cancel and if you cancel you won’t get your money back. Most bookings can’t be canceled within 14 days of departure. You’ll be left with a hole in your pocket and a world of disappointment. You must buy travel insurance before setting out. Travel insurance which has trip cancellation benefits insures you against these cancellations. You get reimbursed for prepaid and nonrefundable costs.

What's The Perfect Kind of Hair Extensions?

Have you ever envied a celebrity’s gorgeous full locks? You really shouldn’t. And I guess with the proliferation of social media, we know all too well by now that they are probably extensions. How do you think celebs go from a lob to mermaid hair overnight by the time they hit the next carpet.

These celebs are human, just like you and me. They don’t have super genes that can make their hair row their super-fast. They and their styling team would usually turn to extensions to switch up their length whenever they feel like changing their look. Fortunately, hair extensions aren’t just for the red carpet or major events anymore. You can now easily achieve your own mane transformation with a little help from your own glossy set of hair extensions.

Dresslily.com Haul # 4 + Review

With the advent and popularity of Mari Kondo’s tidying up one’s home, everyone seems to be jumping on the bandwagon. Most people know about Marie Kondo from her bestselling book, The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up. When it was originally published in 2014, Kondo had established herself as a Japanese cleaning consultant with a revolutionary idea and a track record of clients who never relapsed back into their old hoarding ways.

In one of Mari Kondo's book, Spark Joy, she gives out a guide that'll help people decide what to keep and what to toss across a comprehensive list of categories including kitchen tools, cleaning supplies, and even digital photos. Here the gist is mostly if the thing sparks joy, you should keep it. As much as I want to adopt Mari Kondo’s living less principles, I know for a fact that I will have a hard time doing so.

Summer Vacation Packing Essentials

Summer is finally here, and while your long-desired vacation approaches, you should take some time to go through the checklist of things to pack. Every year it’s the same routine, and every year you make the same mistake: packing and bringing along too many things. You pack warm clothes, elegant dresses, and several pairs of shoes “just in case”. Let’s be honest: you won’t even wear half of what you brought along, and it will end up like always: your back hurting because the bags are too heavy. Here’s what you should pack instead.

The right footwear
If your summer vacation is all about adventure and fun, you really don’t need seven pairs of elegant sandals and a couple of stiletto heels. You’ll probably be wearing flip flops, sneakers, and flat sandals most of the time, but you should still pack a pair of nice shoes for those few special evenings you will probably spend out. The most important thing is for your shoes to be comfortable and versatile, so you can wear them with dresses, tights, jeans, and shorts. Obviously, you will spend long hours barefoot on the beach or wearing flip flops, and if you’re thinking of going on a hike or you like going to the gym while you’re in a resort, you should bring your sneakers as well.
