Be the Prom Queen with MsDress

I am someone who plans for what I am going to wear, even if I am attending an event that is still months away. I love to dress up especially if I have enough time to prepare and choose outfits. If I am attending an event, say like a wedding or a party; I always plan a complete ensemble weeks in advance and sometimes way to ahead.

Yes, that is from head-to-toe: dress, shoes, accessories, what makeup and hair would best suit my outfit etc. Let’s don’t be a bunch of charlatans and admit that we all want to look good most of the time and be able to dress to impress. Nobody wants to go to a party wearing tattered clothes right?

#DoItAllHair: The New Pantene Hair Fall Control Line

Our hair will always be our crowning glory. Hair loss can really affect a woman’s confidence and self-esteem and in turn, it really does have a negative impact on their lives. We all know when you look good you feel good and exude confidence in all aspects of your life. I have done so many things to my hair and thank goodness it hasn't give up on me just yet. No matter how much I torture my hair it still is one of my best assets.

I first dyed my hair in late 2007 and since then it had undergone so much beating. I had it rebonded a couple of times, Brazilian blow-dried, cut to all lengths, dyed it so many times, blow dried and flat-iron ed regularly and exposed it to sunlight and seawater for long hours. The damaging effects of all these chemical treatments and natural elements are very visible; my hair is frizzy, wavy and looks dry. I can't live without conditioner; shampoo alone leaves my hair very coarse and unmanageable. It is like combing the strands of a broom if I don't use conditioner. And then there is hair fall, every time I shower I always see a lot of hair on the bathroom floor and they aren't just a few. There’s one point I thought I have some dreaded disease because the amount of hair fall was very unusual.

DAVAO TRAVEL DIARY: Aldevinco Shopping Center

Life is full of many first times and we have to be open for these new experiences and events in our lives. On the third week of August 2015, I was able to experience another “first time” in my life – be a solo traveler! I was scared and excited at the same to be honest, but a lot of women have been doing it for years and they have been successful at it. Well, for my first time to be a solo traveler, I went to one of the world’s safest city in the world: Davao City.

I was blessed to be able to fly for free because of the flight voucher I received from Cebu Pacific when our flight from Manila to Cebu was cancelled and we were transferred to another flight. I had only 6 months to use it so I booked it on the third week of August; little did I know those dates were the dates for the Kidayawan Festival in Davao City which I learned only a week before my flight. I got excited with the thought of actually attending a well-known local festival, but unfortunately I was not able to see it up close and personal and only from the hotel’s TV feed. It was very hot that weekend in Davao City, a lot of people were in the place where the street dance was being held and it was kind of traffic around that part of town. So I ended up skipping watching the Kidayawan street dances. But you know that there are festivities going on because my flight was full and there are also many tourists in Davao.

Shop more, Save More on Fall Fashion with SheIn.com

Fall or Autumn may be short, but it is as equally beautiful as all the other seasons. Especially when the leaves turn to bright reds and oranges and they start to fall off from the branches of the trees in preparation for the winter season. Unfortunately, I haven't seen fall in person since it doesn't happen in my country. In the northern hemisphere, Fall signals the holiday season and surely it is a beautiful sight. Unlike back here, you know that the holidays is near when days are shorter, the traffic jam is worst than worst (cant find any word more superlative) and people are flocking the malls for early Christmas shopping.

The month of September and October is probably is the best time to go holiday shopping since prices of commodities aren't that sky high just yet. So this is the best time to take advantage of sales and promotions at the malls or even online. Speaking of early holiday shopping, you girls got to check out this newest promotion from www.shein.com entitled Shop More, Save More! In this promotion you can find you perfect fall style from SheIn. Take 34% OFF Over US$55   Code:save34 / Take 36% OFF Over US$105  Code:save36. This will end on September/28.

L!FE Yoga Center: Inhale Love. Exhale Gratitude.

I was never an active person, I guess because I probably my right brain is more dominant and I'm more of an artist than a jock. I love sports and activities, only when I'm watching them. I didn't like P.E. class either. But there's always a point in my life that I'm forced to be active and/or do exercise. When you start to gain age, you know your metabolism gets slower. I always thought in college that I was fat or chubby, but now when I look back at my college photos or see my clothes back then, I always thought to myself, I wasn't that chubby than I am now. The pain of aging yeah...

I've tried many times to be active, go to the gym, run, do some aero or kickboxing etc etc. But I can't seem to find the perfect way to lose weight or be physically fit and healthy. My sister Hazel introduced me to yoga when she started practicing it a few years back. She's quite good at it now and is self-taught. I did yoga by myself at home, bought me a mat and have done it every now and then but not on a constant basis. I must say I enjoyed it amongst all the stuff I did to be fit. Probably because it's movements were more subtle and the breathing technique relaxes me.

SheIn.com is Waiting For You!

I don't know about you, but I am someone who struggles with the thought of waiting. Yes, I can be a little impatient which I hate to admit. But it’s one of the virtues that I want to hasten. I saw a quote one time that says “patience is the ability to wait but how you act while you're waiting”. I’m guilty again, most of the time I get easily riled up if I'm standing in line for a couple of minutes for whatever service it is I'm going to avail of. I owe it probably to me getting easily bored. But if something or someone makes me wait for no good reason at all, like people who doesn't care if they are wasting someone else’s time, then I guess that getting annoyed while waiting can be justifiable. I have had a lot of plans that have been put on hold for some time, for reasons I think are beyond my control. That is probably the best time I can apply my patience. And not to rush into things just because I want to have it right here right now.

Anyway, enough of sharing my random thoughts, I'm here to share you guys with some good news instead. One of my fave online store, www.shein.com is currently having  a promotion which is entitled  Waiting For You! (Ha! Thus the random rumblings…) The promotion will run until September 21 only and you can use the coupon code WAIT32 to get 32% off for orders over US$59 or the code WAIT34 to get 34% off for orders over US$109.

#IDoItTwiceAWeek

I believe beauty and cleanliness are two ideas that go hand in hand together. Cleanliness leads to beauty and beauty cannot be achieved without cleanliness. They are in fact proportional to one another. You cannot call a place beautiful if it is untidy and you cannot achieve beauty without being clean. Same goes with our bodies; whatever the world's standard of beauty is, if we don't clean or take care of our bodies we can't really say it is beautiful. The feeling of being beautiful emerges even in simple ways of caring for our bodies like doing regular showers or bath. I know you would agree with me when I say that we all feel different after cleaning up ourselves in the bathroom. This is funny and awkward to admit but I also feel I'm sexy after taking a bath.

Being pretty or sexy will always be subjective especially when we live in a world where there is a boxed connotation for sexy and beauty. But whatever they are it is always up to us on how we can boost and how we perceive these three ideas: beauty, sexiness and cleanliness

Rue Bourbon Salcedo Bar and Restaurant - The Drinks

Rue Bourbon is not an unfamiliar name within the bar scene in Metro Manila. It is a well known place for yuppies and college folks who like to chill and have a few drinks after office hours or on weekends. I'm familiar with the their BGC branch (which I think is their flagship store) but never got to set foot  in it. A few days ago I was invited at their Salcedo Makati branch and though I don't drink anymore I said yes after learning there's more to this place than being just a bar. Oh yes to #LamonPaMore!

Rue Bourbon Bar and Restaurant derived its name from the World Famous Bourbon Street, located in the heart of New Orleans. This street is primarily known as the central hub for the Mardi Gras Parade, an annual festivity that sees different cultures coming together in one Grand Street Party. Bourbon Street usually comes alive in the evenings, where the night reveals packed Streets, curious Tourists, and friendly Locals, all gathering in one place with a common goal: to eat, drink, and be merry!

5 Tips for Doing Yoga While Traveling

It can be hard to keep up with your yoga and meditation routine at home, let alone while traveling. There are so many places to visit, so many new people to meet, and so much food to taste. However, taking yoga with you on a trip can turn that trip into an adventure. It can be an opportunity to broaden your experience, try new styles, and learn from new teachers.

The beauty of yoga is that it can be done literally anywhere – at the airport, in a parking lot, hotel room, or at the park. Besides that, you’ve left all your worries and work behind, and you can now completely focus on reconnecting with yourself. So, there are really no excuses why you shouldn’t maintain your yoga practice on a holiday or a business trip. Commitment is all you really need.

Go With The Flow Sale from SheIn.com

Going with the flow most of the time comes with a negative connotation. It means to move along with the prevailing forces or to accept the prevailing trend. There’s a quote that says, “Only a dead fish goes with the flow”. But sometimes going with the flow is responding to signs from the universe and I don’t man horoscopes or related things to it. When you go with the flow, you’re surfing life’s forces. It’s more on trusting and total collaboration with what’s showing up in front of you. There are things that we try so hard to resist when it fact they are the ones shaping us to be a better person. I know a lot o people who are afraid of changes and most of the time it gets them nowhere. So if you have a an inkling that something god will present at the end of the change or struggle then go with it.

Speaking of going with the flow, one of my fave online store, www.shein.com is currently having  a promotion with the same name: GO WITH THE FLOW. In this promotion you can discover the most natural styles from SheIn. The promotion will run until September 14 only and you can use the coupon code flow34 to get 34% off for orders over US$69.
