Ramen Daisho Now Open at Assembly Grounds Makati and with 50% Off on Ramens!

I don’t how many times I’ve said how much I love Japanese food and it’s on top of my fave cuisines ever. I actually like almost all Japanese dishes that I’ve tried since I was introduced to this said cuisine. My most vivid recollection of me eating Japanese food was when I was in third grade. My mumma used to work for an international trading company in one of the buildings in Rada Street, Legaspi Village in Makati.

When it was just me and my little sister, during weekends we would go with our mumma to where she works half day during Saturdays. After which we will eat at this known Japanese restaurant just outside Greenbelt which is now occupied by Mc Donald’s. That restaurant used to be a mid-ranged Japanese resto but now has “downgraded” into a Japanese fast food chain to somehow reach a wider scope of clienteles. But thanks to that brand, I got to appreciate Japanese cuisine and its art form.

Artisan Ice Cream by Merry Moo

Don’t you find it puzzling that just when technology is advancing in such a fast pace, where in the world we live in we are always glued to our phones, where life gets chaotic, some just wants to take a step back and live in the past, the old school ways. But living less, simpler, how they did it in the old days, without all the hustle and bustle is more. Yes, it’s true that less is more, in that matter. But more of it, more of all the simpler ways incorporated into our lifestyle is better, and that’s a fact.

There are times that going old school can be bad and sometimes good. After all, we can’t have it both ways. But for this post let me talk about one of the good things of going back to simpler ways. Like when it comes to food, I don’t know if this is because the propagation of the hipster generation brought about by millennials, but somehow, most of us, if not all, went back to going vintage. There’s something about its simplicity and stylishness that we yearn. Nostalgia perhaps. With this, we saw the rise of everything artisan.

Vitamins & Nutrients for Healthy and Beautiful Skin

Unavoidable factors like age, the environment, and stress can cause the skin to become thinner and hence prone to wrinkling, broken capillaries, and brown spots. In addition, there are plenty of other factors that can throw off the balance of minerals and vitamins in our bodies that are essential for our skin's health. Unlike the former group of factors, the latter is something that can be easily addressed – below we’ve listed some of the top vitamins and minerals you need for healthy and young-looking skin as well as ways to incorporate them into your daily diet!

1. Vitamin D
Vitamin D plays an important role in fighting infections, and as a result, a deficiency in this vitamin is closely linked to acne. The so-called "sunshine vitamin" is both vital and fatal for your skin's health. Let's make this clear – enough sun (read: vitamin D) is good for your skin, but too much sun (read: harmful UV rays) can be detrimental for your skin's health. So maybe instead of sweating in the sun longer than you should, look for other natural sources of vitamin D in foods, such as mushrooms, fish, and eggs. Besides, it's super-easy to start your day with a delicious and skin-vitamin-rich breakfast, since most milk and breakfast cereals are fortified with vitamin D. Besides fortified products, you can consider taking vitamin D supplements to accelerate the process of healing and getting your skin to glow.

Dresslily.com Haul # 5 + Review

It’s starting to feel a lot like Christmas! While I’m writing this haul review it’s officially 75 days before Christmas day and as early as now you can already feel that the holiday season is fast approaching. In our street, households are slowly being decorated with festive ornaments and lights. Just a few days ago, a giant Christmas tree was put up in my office building’s lobby, and you know what? That made me all giddy because this is one of my favorite seasons besides summer.

Another reason for my high spirits is that as early as now, I am receiving so many things in the mail lately and I feel like these are holiday gifts, though they are mostly promotional items. Almost every few days I get a notification from a delivery man or one of my family members that something has arrived for and that really puts me in a festive mood. I wish I take shoot and write a review of everything in time for the holidays or before this year ends. But let start with the recent haul that I did with Dresslily.

% Arabica Coffee: See The World Through Coffee

Are you someone who can’t start his/her day without having a fix of caffeine? Well, I am just like that. I can’t start my day without having a cup of coffee, or two. I mean, please don’t talk to me until I have engulfed reasonable amounts of caffeine because my brain won’t function until then. Coffee is the fuel of my soul, it’s what’s keep running all throughout the night (I work night shift). And don’t you just love that the first smell you inhale after getting out of bed is the aroma of coffee? Moreover, the bitterness or sweetness (depends on the type of coffee that you drink) gives you that sudden kick that will catapult you getting your body moving and going.

For when times that I don’t have time to enjoy a cup of joe before I leave home for work or I ran out of stash of coffee (which both rarely happens), the moment I step at work, after clocking in, I hurriedly get my fix. Sounds funny, but seriously, I crave for it, it seems like I’m having a withdrawal if I don’t drink it after an hour or so after I wake up. It’s really like a drug, it’s addictive but not bad for you. But yeah too much of it can cause you hyperacidity and what-nots, but not as bad as real drugs that can make you go crazy and kill you.

Asian Taste Seafood Restaurant at Seascape Village

Asia, being the largest and most populous continent, has many great cuisines. But how do you decide which Asian nation produces the best cuisine? But taste will always be subjective right? Someone may love Taiwan’s stinky tofu while I had a hard time appreciating it even if I am a tofu lover. Some people may also not appreciate seafood where it is abundant in Oriental and South East Asia. I may be allergic to seafood, but I love eating them, whenever I have the chance; yet I know a couple of people who doesn’t like them any bit, even fish they hate.

What I love about oriental and SE Asian food is that it highly resembles the Filipino cuisine and greatly appeals to the Filipino palate, well after all, even in ancient times, even before the colonization and industrial from the West ever happened, the Philippines is already trading with its neighboring countries and cultures and that heavily included food and spices. If you’re going to ask me, my top Asian cuisines would be Japanese, Chinese and Filipino (of course!).

Help Your Children Learn Good Values

As parents, we are often faced with the question of when to start teaching our children about values that they should imbibe in their lives. What is the correct age to start? A child’s brain is like a sponge. It will absorb everything that it senses. Children in their formative years look to their parents, observe the behavior that parents exhibit and try to copy them.

By the age of 5 children start seeing their parents as role models and also start differentiating between good and bad; and wrong and right. The best way to teach your children values is to set examples for them to follow. You need to spend quality time with your children if you want them to learn from you. SNOE Beauty Inc.'s NEW Glam Jam Lip & Cheek Tints!

I love makeup and I couldn’t care less what people think about me wearing makeup or no make. If you prefer natural beauty, well that’s great, if you like someone who’s all dolled up, that’s great too. I won’t ever run a poll on what people prefer me to look, I enjoy makeup and most times I do in fact feel better about myself wearing them. I don’t put on makeup for anyone else but myself.

During my first year in college I got easily acquainted with girls in my class who are kikay and they are the ones who introduced me to the world of makeup. As years go by, I started getting more interested in it and explored more on this area. I even attended some makeup workshops to learn more. Although I didn’t take it to the next level but did it for myself and do makeup of friends and families for events or special occasions.

Top 4 Skincare Recommendations for Middle-Aged Women

Whereas age is usually a taboo topic for most aging women, when it comes to skincare, it shouldn't be. As women touch 40, their skin typically becomes more sensitive and drier, re-quiring more attention and care than it used to before. Luckily, there are plenty of ways you can protect your skin from aging and various possible problems and diseases, and keep its natural beauty well into middle age as well. Take note of the tips we shared below and pro-vide your skin the care it needs and deserves.

1. Sun protection
Before we start with all the negative effects of tanning, let's make it clear that we don't blame you – everything looks better with a little extra color. However, as much as it seems impossi-ble to resist the lovely warmth on your skin and the thought of the golden tan, for the sake of our health and beauty, there are things to take into consideration before faking or baking your tan. We hate to break it to you, but the answer to the question of how much sun is enough is approximately 15 minutes a day!

Buffalo Swing Cafe - Pasig City's Hidden Gem

I was born and raised in Pasig, a true blooded Batang Pasig. I love my hometown, I’ve lived somewhere for a couple of years due to work but being away from family was hard, so I decided to go live near them again. They say Pasig has the worst traffic jams at the moment, but I guess one just needs to get used to it, also that it won’t get better anytime soon. I don’t care, because nothing beats being “home”.

Another thing that I love about my hometown is that you can easily go to just anywhere around Metro Manila because like Mandaluyong it’s at the center (well, almost). Want nature? Travel a few hours to Rizal. Want some city life fix? Travel a few hours to BGC, Makati, Mandaluyong, San Juan or Quezon City. Moreover, this city also never ceases to surprise me with its hidden gems, including gastronomic finds.

Ways to Look Great While Working Out

Working out is the only way to get the sexy athletic look you've always wanted. When you decide it's time to hit the treadmill, be sure you're dressed for the part. The choice of gym wear is essential if you want to feel and look great while sweating. You can easily choose the wrong fabrics and types of clothes if you haven't worked out ever or for a long time, so check out the following tips to be sure you're on your A-game even at the gym.

Wear figure-flattering clothes
Loose-fitting shirts such as tees and tighter athletic wear are the most acceptable tops for women who are determined to start their gym journey. Wearing a track jacket over an inner tee or tank top can be a good way to layer your wardrobe and feel both comfortable and ready to pump the iron. When it comes to bottoms, feel free to wear anything from sweats to yoga pants, tights, or athletic shorts. They are all acceptable, it's just a matter of comfort. Go for the one that makes you feel like you're not wearing gym wear at all.

Nitro 7 Coffee & Tea Bar - SM City Pasig

I can’t reiterate it enough how much I love coffee. It fuels my soul, it’s the component that runs through my veins, without it I can’t function. Although nowadays, I limit my coffee intake to a maximum of 3 cups a day. I used to consume more than that before, but I have been having acid reflux every now and then, so I had to cut back on my caffeine intake. Also, if I drink coffee all throughout the day, I always end up staying up late, because even after a day of work, I get home and still feeling all pumped up.

I’ve tried out a lot of coffee shop and DIY coffee brands and only just last weekend that I encountered coffee and tea that is infused with nitrogen. I’ve heard a lot and have tried other food items that are nitrogen-infused or have used nitrogen as cooling agent, only now that I tried it with coffee and tea. Nitro 7 Coffee & Tea Bar is and island-based coffee shop in malls and other establishments and has been around for a while and already with more than branches in Luzon, yet I’ve only heard them through friends who recently have been posting on social media about this new coffee concept.

Working on an Extended Trip

Taking an extended trip can be a great idea. When you go on a short vacation, you are very limited. You quickly rush between tourist attractions, taking in as much as you can in a short time, enjoying everything that the location has to offer. You get very little time to rest and relax, you don’t meet new people or really get to know anyone, and your time is spent only on the highlights.

You don’t get a chance to see how the local people live, to learn more about the history and the culture of the area, to learn the language or to see any of the hidden gems that might not be as readily advertised. Most of us return from a short trip desperate for a rest, more tired than we were when we left home in the first place.

Sunday Fine Dining Brunch at Chef Jessie - Rockwell Club

I’d like to consider myself as a “cowgirl”. In my country when you say a female is a cowgirl it usually means a female who’s low maintenance. She’s not fussy about her needs etc. She can do commutes; she can eat anywhere (as long as the food doesn’t give her food poisoning or amoebiasis). And yeah, I guess I am that kind of girl even though I love to dress up or put on makeup.

But there are days when I love doing or experiencing fancy things, occasionally, and that don’t hurt nobody after all. Although I rarely eat fine dining even on special events or on dates, I’m more like a fill me to the brim kind of an eater. I always want to get what my money is worth, like all the freaking time. But yeah, again, there’s no harm in eating fine dining every once in a while.

Best Destinations You Must Visit during Halloween

People have been celebrating Halloween for ages all over the world. While Halloween you see on TV usually includes jack-o-lanterns, costumes and trick-or-treating, there are different traditions and beliefs connected to this spooky holiday. So, if you want to venture away from your regular Halloween parties, here are a few destinations that come alive (or rather, die and resurrect) during October 31st. Pick any of these spots, and you’ll have a kooky, spooky and ooky Halloween.

Salem, Massachusetts
You don’t even have to hit Salem on Halloween in order to have a creepy experience. Visit any time during October and you’ll get a nice fright. Once upon a time, 26 people were tried and killed for being witches, so the town chooses to commemorate the victims and other witches (real or not) in the coolest of ways.

Aburi Express at Food District Signatures on 5th - BGC

I’ve seen Bonifacio Global City rise to a premiere business and residential district. I clearly remember from my college building we can still see Market Market, we would do picnics and watch concerts in its former open grounds. Years later it’s a vibrant city full of tall structures and probably the only private property that houses hundreds of restaurants in a small CBD. Being the “it” city at the moment, price points of food offerings here tend to be a little bit pricey. And of course, who wants to eat fast food or bland cafeteria food all the time right? You can’t splurge on food every day either since or you have to stick to a budget for your daily lunch.

Here’s good news for employees and residents of BGC, you can now find mid-range price points at the newly opened Food District Signatures On 5th! This new food hall is located in the heart of BGC and we can say the poshiest of its any district since it is at One Bonifacio High Street which is just across Shangri-La Hotel BGC and BGC Central. Almost all the food brands inside this new food hall are cult faves and mostly home grown! On September 3, 2019 was their grand opening and included in the extensive list of brands for you to enjoy there is Aburi Express!

Four Cuisines in One Place: Four In Love BBQ and Hotpot Buffet

Ahhh LOVE. It is probably the best feeling in the world, right? And who doesn’t want to fall in love? Love is what makes the world go ‘round. It is the ultimate goal. But you know sometimes, love can also cause bad things. Today though, we will not deal with romantic love but the love for food, because all I know is that I’m happy at the moment and loving everything about my life! Let’s talk about the love for food. I looked it up if there’s a specific term for the love of food and Google told me it’s either epicure or gastronome.

You might be wondering why I’m talking about love and food, well, I just visited FOUR IN LOVE last Sunday at SM Manila to witness its grand opening. Four in Love is the newest concept buffet restaurant to hit the shores of Manila. Four in Love wants you to fall in love, hence, they created a place for BBQ and Hot Pot Buffet. And man oh man, they’ve got my favorite cuisines: Japanese (top!), Thai, Chinese and Korean (which I recently starting to like a lot) all in one place.

Shangri-La The Fort’s Bake House Manila: Freshly Made with A Conscious Heart

Just when you think you’ve seen or tried all the dining options in BGC, one after the other, new restaurants and cafes pop up every now and then. Nearly just two months ago, Shangri-La Hotel at The Fort BGC opened yet another interesting concept store for BGC dwellers and visitors to enjoy: Bake House Manila. It’s as if the in-house restaurants inside Shang BGC ain’t offering delicious baked goods already, that they opened this casual yet stylish café.

Unlike Makati and Edsa Shang that are very traditional, Shangri-La The Fort puts itself out there as a vibrant, young, dynamic and contemporary hotel. “Modern” is what Shangri-La The Fort falls on for their restaurants and services. Well, BGC is the “it” and hip city of the moment and just keeping up with its crowd. Shang Fort always wanted to be very unique with their dining concepts. Yet, of course, they still have the usual buffet resto, but there's still a touch point that gives a unique, very solid narrative which is what they want to establish at the hotel.

Beauty Goals: Adjusting Skin Care Routine to the Season

If you want your skin healthy and glowing, you need to care for it properly. However, the way you approach skin care in winter can differ from what you’ll do in summer. As seasons change and the weather changes with them, how you treat your skin should change as well. Here are some guidelines for best skin care for each of the seasons.

Springtime skin love
As nature awakens, you should enable your skin to do the same. Once the weather improves, you’ll be more than happy to spend more time outdoors, which is why you should start paying more attention to protecting your skin from the sun. First of all, you should figure out your skin type and the amount of pigment in it, since it’s one of the factors which determine whether you’ll burn in the sun and to what extent.

Steak Nights at MISTO - Seda Hotel BGC

Steak earns its accolades the old-fashioned way. Steak is king. Steak is what other meat wishes it could be. When a person thinks of meat, the picture that forms in his or her mind is a steak. People love steak because of the way it makes them feel when they put it in their mouths. Steak can also be a status quo. You can eat beef, yes, but eating a prime cut piece of beef is another thing.

I am a carnivore; I can’t live a life without meat. But let me tell you one thing, I am in no way a food expert or do I claim to be. Heck, I barely know the difference between cuts of meat except for the basic ones. So when it comes to steak cuts, I am not the one to ask. But if you’re asking me to eat steak, well, I am one to always say come on let’s go!

Why Reading Out to Children is Important for Their Self-Growth

Watching children read and losing themselves in the world of their favorite fictional characters is a feeling that all parents desire. The different emotions that a child reflects while reading is a sign that shows how reading goes beyond mere literacy. According to a study at Cambridge University, young people get excellent training in developing empathy through reading fiction. This is further backed by the studies done at Carnegie Melon and Emory University. According to their findings, fiction makes us believe that we are part of the plot.  The empathy that we feel for the characters get imprinted on our brains and help us develop similar sensitivity towards people in real life.

Development of Core Skills in Children
Recognized as a core life skill, empathy is the foundation for strong and sound relationships. So, how can we help our children develop such core life skills? Laura Holman Byrne, author of Tater Tot (https://mrtatertot.com/), recommends using reading with your children as a tool to teach them about empathy, mindfulness, respect, and self confidence. Some methods that you can try in exploring ways to use reading to boost the children’s core skills are:

Good Times, Games and Good Grubs: Grid x Griddle - Greenfield District

I grew up loving playing games, I mean just about any games, name it, indoor and outdoor games, even sometimes games not meant for little girls. One of the games that I loved growing up were board games, like Snakes and Ladders, Monopoly and Scrabble. I usually play it with my sister and our neighborhood friends when we are not allowed to go out or if it’s raining or too hot to play outside. When I started getting older, I rarely play boards games as my interests changed. But when I have the chance to play them on occasions, I still enjoy doing so.

I find it cool that throughout the years, board games have evolved and that there are establishments that include board games (for the young and adult) as part of their selling points. I’ve visited quite a couple of around the metro and every time I get to play new games that are really fun and interesting. Just a few weekends ago, I visited one at Greenfield District, Mandaluyong with my fellow bloggers which is named Grid x Griddle.

Indonesia--The Complete Relocation Guide

If you have ever visited Indonesia, you will be aware of the stunning beaches and scenery this beautiful archipelago has to offer--which is what most people envisage when they think of Indonesia.
It is also rich in culture and history, humid climates and with over 259 million people living there, it is one of the most densely populated places to live.

Along with the beautiful landscapes and beaches previously mentioned, moving to Indonesia hosts the opportunity for submersion into a traditional, yet increasingly modernized culture. Although the cities are densely populated, there is also the option of occupying a more remote island for a more laid back lifestyle.

Saltitude Dive & Beach Resort - Anilao, Batangas

I’ve been itching to go to do the beach even if it’s the monsoon season. Although that is the case, I guess most of you will agree that in the Philippines, it’s always 365 days of summer. I’m not at all stressed or whatsoever with work or life, but the thought of going to the beach crosses my mind every day. My last trip to the beach was back in May and that was so much fun (I still have to blog about that trip though). But if I could, I would hit the beach every other month or at least once per quarter.

I’ve been to a lot of places in Batangas, but only a few weeks ago that I was able to visit Anilao. I’m a person who would choose a beach destination for the quality of sand rather than the activities that I could do in that place. I’m actually more of a beach bummer rather than a water activity/sports kind of a beach-goer. And I heard that Anilao is more of the rocky or pebbly beaches, and most that go there do diving. So I wasn’t that interested, if I have to be very honest.

The Role Of Subtlety In Looking Great

The effort to look your very best is something of a combined art and science. Art, because it requires that you have a strong sense of aesthetics which you can bring to the table. Science, because there are tried and tested means by which you can hope to make any outfit look that much more complete. One of the most essential tools at your disposal when you are attempting to look your best is subtlety, yet this is often hard to come by, and even harder to make a reality. The fact is that subtlety is incredibly important and powerful, and it is a good idea to get to know how best to utilize it. If you do that, you’ll find yourself looking much better in no time at all, and you will surely be glad for that.

A Touch Of Colour
It should be clear to most people that colour plays an important and central role in trying to look your best. The more able you are to pay attention to colour, and to know what you should do to utilize colour in your overall look, the more likely it is that your style will come across as more complete. There are so many ways in which colour plays a role, and you will need to endeavour to look into them all at some point. You might consider small and subtle changes in colour in your hair, in your jacket, your make-up, your choice of shoes. It’s all about playing around with these things and seeing what effect they have. Often you can improve your look just by working with colour in a very small way.

How You Can Travel Well, For Less

Travel, no matter what budget you have, is one of life’s greatest luxuries. It is the chance to take some time off from work, get on a plane, enjoy new accommodation and good food, though it is a privilege that a lot of people on earth don’t get to enjoy all that often, if at all. And while the act of traveling itself is indeed a luxury, there are obviously different levels of luxury when it comes to travel. Some people will be happy to share rooms in hostels when they travel, while others will only be happy with a private suite costing them thousands.

But just because there are some places that you can stay like hotel rooms that cost a lot of money, it doesn’t mean that you can’t get to enjoy some luxury when you travel. Things like fancy restaurants, world-famous hotels, lay-flat business class seats could all be yours to enjoy. You just need to know how to best use your money and knowing where to splurge and where to save. So with all of that in mind, here are some tips to help you enjoy a little more luxury when you travel, without things costing a whole lot.

Zomato Introduces 26-Week Parental Leave Policy Globally

Zomato recently announced that it is offering 26 weeks of paid parental leave to all its employees globally—yes, including new fathers as well. This initiative will also apply to surrogate, adoptive parents, as well as same-sex parents across all operational countries, including the Philippines. This revolutionary move encourages new parents to spend more time with their newborns.

In countries where government-mandated leave policy is more than 26 weeks, Zomato will be following the local regulations, offering the same increased number of weeks to both mothers and fathers. Along with the leave, Zomato will also offer a  $1,000 endowment per child to the parents working with the company. All the employees who welcomed a child six months prior to this policy change will also enjoy the new benefits.

Veggie Guys at Malingap Food Central

Filipinos love to eat, that’s why the food industry here is steadily growing for years. Malls and town centers are rising up from the ground like mushrooms filled with both old and new restaurants. Also, I have noticed that after the success of Maginhawa, Lilac and Kapitolyo, a lot of food parks are springing around the metro. This is great because you can just go to one place, eat and try different kinds of food and cuisines to your heart’s content without going from one place to another. Food parks/halls are great if you’re in for a good food tripping!

I haven’t been to food parks lately, mostly I go to stand alone restaurants, but for a change I went to Malingap Food Hall with my friends last weekend. Malingap is one of the streets inside Teacher’s Village in Quezon City and in the same neighborhood with the famous foodie destination: Maginhawa Street.

Get Your Isaw and Grilled Meats Fix at Mang Ding's Pinoy BBQ - Marikina

When it comes to street food, I’d like to say that one can find the best around Asia, most specifically in South East. Notable places are Singapore, Bangkok, Taiwan and South Korea. And of course, the street food scene in the Philippines is as exciting as the other countries that I’ve mentioned earlier. There are similarities and differences with the Filipino street food among these SE Asian countries, but it’s always the sanitation concerns of these street food that are always put up in question.

As much as I don’t want to acquire any illness while travelling abroad and eating the country’s local street food, there’s part of me that is largely wanting to try as much as I can. I guess, for me, if I don’t get the food at the grassroots level, it’s not completely immersing myself. So far, I’ve never had any problems while eating the street food I’ve tied abroad. Even back here in the Philippines, there’s only one instance that I got sick because I ate something from a street peddler. I’m still alive now and I still continue to eat street food.

Sweet Dreams Are Made of Silk

Oh the luxury of sleep! I used to be someone who thinks that sleep is for the weak. But seriously, I was only justifying my lack of value for sleep. For years I have never had a good 8-9 hours of sleep. After work (even if I was on the night shift), I would do a lot of stuff and would only get 3-4 hours of sleep. I was lucky if I can reach up to 5 hours of good snooze. That took a toll on me. I got sick most times, I wasn’t functioning well at work, I had pimple regularly and the worst part was I got depressed.

When I quit my last job, my sleeping pattern changed for the better, I would sleep the minute I feel sleepy. I would then get 9 or more hours of sleep. And to be honest, I felt energized and healthier. Now I am back on the night shift with my new job. And I vowed to myself that I wouldn’t repeat my old ways anymore. Enough of that “sleep is for the weak” BS. Because you know, truth be told, lack of sleep makes you sick, makes you weak.

Brunching By The Beach at Saltitude Dive & Beach Resort Anilao Batangas

I love the beach so much, I don’t know if it aint obvious enough with my blog and social media handles, plus the theme of my blog and most of my travels are beach destinations. Something about the soft white sand and the sound of waves crashing to the shore soothes my soul. The beach has been my refuge, for whenever I feel so drained with life or if my heart is not in proper function. But I also go to the beach even if my life is not in disarray; I also go there to have fun, after all, I consider it always my happy place.

My last trip to the beach was back in May and that was so much fun. I still have to blog about that trip though. But if I could, I would hit the beach every other month or at least once per quarter.

Accessory Dwelling Unit: Here’s Why You Should Care for an ADU

Accessory Dwelling Unit or ADU has all the possibilities of becoming an edited home for you in the future. If you are still wondering what an ADU is then probably you’ve heard its other names – like mother-in-law-apartments or granny-flats – earlier on.

These quasi-dwellings can either be a part of your main house or remain detached from it to house an elderly relative or any other person. Whether you choose to construct an ADU on top of a garage, in your backyard, or somewhere else in the premises of your property, you can leverage its many benefits at the most affordable of costs.

Wardrobe Tips for Petite Women

When you're a short woman, sometimes shopping for perfect clothing items isn't easy. You probably tend to make adjustments to your pants because somehow any pair you buy ends up too long for your height, and shopping for blazers can be a nightmare too. However, when it comes to the rest of the wardrobe, petite ladies can stay carefree because we have a few tips that will make dressing up much easier in the future.

Vertical stripes to visually elongate you
The goal for every petite person is to make their figure visually longer and appear taller. Vertical stripes are the perfect way to do it. Therefore, the next time you go shopping look for dresses, trousers and pants featuring vertical stripes. Furthermore, if you're also a bit on the plumper side, vertical stripes will visually slim your figure, offering you double benefits. Aside from wearing vertical stripes, you should also try to create vertical lines with your clothes. Open jackets and cardigans will help you do that flawlessly, and if your cardigan and dress are the same length, you'll create vertical lines flawlessly. Sleeveless vests will also look great on you so be sure to have one in your wardrobe. To create vertical lines with button shirt dresses, go for those that stop just above or at the knee.

Feel Confident & Fabulous With The Best Women's Shapewear From Loverbeauty

I always see corsets whenever I watch any vintage movie. But perhaps the most iconic movie scene featuring the corset is that scene from Titanic where Kate Winslet aka Rose was being out into a corset by her mother. Corsets or body shapers have been around since early times. Probably because during the early days, women must be in a certain shape to look and be considered beautiful. I also believe that wearing these bodyshapers was also part of the status quo for women of those days.
There are also studies that found that wearing shapewear can help someone to shed some extra weight. Shapewear is a type of garment that gives off compression to many areas of the body, helping to create a slimmer looking appearance. This means it can help to compress stomach fat, hip fat, thigh fat, arm fat etc.
