BBX - Manila's Fastfood 2.0

Just a few days ago I was ranting to my mumma that I’m quite vexed about eating fast food or convenience store food for the majority of the week. I said I was longing for some home-cooked meal that I don’t get to enjoy that often nowadays. I don’t cook in my apartment, primarily because I’m too tired to do so after arriving from work so I want something instant to feed myself. My only source of home-cooked meals, my mother’s house, has rarely done some cooking. Almost everyone there is busy; at work or out and about. Most times they just buy food for the dogs and don’t bother cook anymore.

I don’t have any problem with fast food, I just don’t like the thought of eating processed food all the freaking time. Only if all fast-foods are like other fast casual restaurants that take into consideration the quality of their food. I mean, I don’t mind paying a little extra if I am served with food that I’ll seriously enjoy and tastes amazing; not just to put something in my belly just for the sake of eating something to get me through the day (or night in my case).

How to Choose A Watch for Your Wrist Size

Some people like wearing watches sand others don’t. While this often can be just a matter of style and preference, many people still feel that watches simply don’t fit them. They think their wrists are better off without watches and that wearing them would look odd and silly. However, the truth is that a watch can fit anyone as long as you pick the right size, shape and style. Since there is a vast variety of choices, you may need some guidance on the subject as it can get overwhelming. This is where we come in with a few pointers to help get you started.

Classy and minimalist
Fitting your watch with your outfit can be quite tricky. What goes well with a casual and sporty look, but also formal and classy? It’s not easy finding the perfect solution. This is why most people get several watches and they get by much more easily. Of course, choosing and buying several watches at once is too much thinking and too much money, so it may be a good idea to start simple. Getting a minimalist watch is an excellent way to enter the world of wrist watches. It will match most of your everyday outfits, as well as elegant looks which should keep you safe until you figure out which one to buy next.

Pizza Hut's Triple Pizza Treat Promo

Last weekend I celebrated the eve of my birthday with my office mates and we had pizzas delivered to work. I received 15 boxes of regular pizzas, I mean, talk about pizza gluttony, but I had a whole team and other co-workers to feed so those pizzas were just enough. I was worried sick that the Pizza Hut near MC Home Depot in BGC might not be able to cater our order but with the grace of the pizza gods, they were able to deliver!

Pizza Hut, home to the country’s Pinaka – pizza, was started in 1958 by two enterprising college students, Frank & Dan Carney, in their hometown in Wichita, Kansas. Since then it has become the largest & most popular pizza chain with over 12,000 restaurants in 90 countries around the globe in 2004.

Ramen Daisho Now Open at Assembly Grounds Makati and with 50% Off on Ramens!

I don’t how many times I’ve said how much I love Japanese food and it’s on top of my fave cuisines ever. I actually like almost all Japanese dishes that I’ve tried since I was introduced to this said cuisine. My most vivid recollection of me eating Japanese food was when I was in third grade. My mumma used to work for an international trading company in one of the buildings in Rada Street, Legaspi Village in Makati.

When it was just me and my little sister, during weekends we would go with our mumma to where she works half day during Saturdays. After which we will eat at this known Japanese restaurant just outside Greenbelt which is now occupied by Mc Donald’s. That restaurant used to be a mid-ranged Japanese resto but now has “downgraded” into a Japanese fast food chain to somehow reach a wider scope of clienteles. But thanks to that brand, I got to appreciate Japanese cuisine and its art form.

Tito's Fil-Mex Resto - Ayala Malls Feliz

The Philippines and Mexico has a long-standing relationship since the era of colonization of the super powers of the Western world. Thanks to the Galleon trade culture, tradition and cuisine linked the Philippines and Mexico in so many ways. So, don’t be surprised to learn that Filipinos have so much in common with Mexicans in almost all aspect of our and their lives. Aside from being conquered by the Spaniards, Filipinos are more than alike with Latin Americans through being religious because of being a predominantly Catholic. We are also known for our highest regards when it comes to valuing the concept of family and our love for gatherings/parties. Moreover, Filipinos very much esteem culture and tradition.

These similarities in traits may be attributed due to the trade that transpired between the said countries. Because during that time when travelling to their distant Asian conquered lands, Spaniards traveled by way of Mexico, taking the annual galleon that linked Spain with China. This brought about the successful introduction of food, agriculture products and other things brought about by the commerce.

Sushi Nori - Your Neighborhood Sushi Place in BGC

I’ve said so many times, over and over, that I will never get tired of eating Japanese food and looking for places where I can get my fix of this cuisine. I mean, I can live off of Japanese food every day and for the rest of my life. Yeah, I can see myself that I can do just that. I have this idea that somehow, I might have been a Japanese in my past life (well besides that I also believe that I lived during the Renaissance due to my love of the old-world Europe).

So, you may ask why I’m saying all these (again), well, recently and occasionally, I’ve started eating my lunch from this sushi place/Japanese resto at my office building. It’s now the only Japanese restaurant in the building (there used to be two) and I’ve been dying to try it since I started my job at W City Center. It’s the modern and hip Japanese food place called Sushi Nori.

How To Travel Together As A Couple

Traveling with a romantic partner is an experience like no other. While travel is the best way to discover yourself, it’s a great way to get to know someone else too. Many avid travelers would agree that it’s the ultimate test for a relationship. After all, a vacation will surely offer some of the greatest highs and lows. There will be days you argue, but those experiences will help you learn and grow. With that in mind, here are six lessons that all couples traveling together must know.

Work Out Your Budget
Money is a huge source of conflict, especially in relationships. To make sure that you don’t break up while abroad, you should agree on a budget before booking your trip. Each of you must know how much you’re paying, what you’re paying for, and why, both for the entire vacation and each day. Eliminating money talk before you go away should eliminate any problems that come with it.

Weekend Getaway: Liwliwa Surfing Beach, Zambales

There are so many reasons why people travel but I believe the top most reason is to get some peace and quiet; basically, to relax the mind and body. I can’t say I’m stressed or tired, I might just probably weary of the city life and the daily work-home routine. So, when my friends agreed to go on a weekend trip somewhere north, I immediately jumped in.

We were initially thinking of going to Baguio but for some reason that plan got botched. And going to a beach somewhere in Luzon became a more apparent choice. We decided on this a day before the weekend, so we scrambled on places to go and ended up setting our eyes on Liwliwa, San Felipe Zambales.

What is General Dentistry?

General dentistry is a set of treatments that are concerned with your oral health and will make sure that your teeth are functioning correctly. It is also the solution to dental problems such as cavities or damage and will also deal with pain reduction. If you are having problems with your teeth and are experiencing pain, then most likely your symptoms and problem will come under general dentistry, and you will be assigned a dentist who can resolve your issue. Most practices, such as Spa Dental Sydney CBD will have a significant focus on general dentistry.

What is Cosmetic Dentistry?
Cosmetic dentistry is a different kind of field and deals with the appearance of your teeth. Often, general dentistry can blend into cosmetic dentistry as the teeth are repaired or rebuilt. However, anything that purely involves the appearance of your teeth is considered cosmetic dentistry. The difference can also be in terms of cost too, so it is always important to check whether a specific treatment counts as general or cosmetic dentistry.

Banapple's New Christmas Sweet Offerings and the #BanappleBucketList

I remember back in college, even though our school was located in BGC, my friends and I love to go somewhere else to hang out and eat. Because during that time, BGC was not as vibrant as a city with hundreds of dining options. I recall, Banapple was one of the places that we love to visit in Katipunan where we would go and fill ourselves with their delicious meals and after which we would kill time or “study” (questionable statement haha!) across in Kopi Roti (which is not there anymore, too bad).

I remember how small flagship store of Banapple was and me and my friends could fill all those tables up every time we go there. Now it has grown from a neighborhood brand to a well-known homey restaurant that has expanded with around 20 branches across Metro Manila.

What Is A Mortgage Solicitor?

A mortgage solicitor or a conveyancer is an individual that deals with all legal aspects of the property buying process. Buying a house at any age can be one of the largest financial transactions individuals or couples can make. Mortgage solicitors are a way to reduce the stress some individuals may feel during the property buying process, allowing them to take a back seat in terms of legal aspects, whilst still maintaining control.

An individual or a couple thinking of buying a house may invest in a mortgage solicitor or look at using a conveyancer.  Conveyancing is a legal term to describe the transferring process of a property. A conveyancer is an individual who handles the contracts, whilst giving legal advice, transferring the funds to pay for the property and dealing with the land registry, and council funds. Solicitors may be more pricey than conveyancers, however an individual or couple may opt for a solicitor if they wish for a legal perspective, a welcome addition to the process. Solicitors aim to treat all clients equally, and should deal with young couples buying their first home in the same way as a couple investing in a larger property.

The New Jollibee Breakfast Pies

It’s no surprise that Jollibee is my go-to fast food restaurant. Jollibee is a well-known homegrown brand that is slowly taking the world because of its yummy and hearty dishes that warms the Filipino heart and palate. Not only that, it is also gaining popularity among foreigners here and abroad. I’ve seen videos of foreigners here in the Philippines and abroad (like in New York, Canada and UK) enjoying what Jollibee has to offer. From what I can recall, the first man to fall in line for the opening of Jollibee in Manhattan is a Caucasian male, yep not even a Filipino or a Filipino-American.

Jollibee was founded by Tony Tan and his family with its humble beginnings as an Ice Cream Parlor which later grew into an emerging global brand. Jollibee is the largest fast food chain in the Philippines, with over 1,150 stores nationwide. A dominant market leader in the Philippines, Jollibee enjoys the lion’s share of the local market that is more than all the other multinational brands combined. The company has also embarked on an aggressive international expansion plan in Vietnam, Brunei, Hongkong, Singapore, Macau, Malaysia, US, Canada, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, Italy and the United Kingdom.

Worried About Your Upcoming Root Canal in Harley Street? Five Reasons You Shouldn’t Fear Root Canal Treatment

It is likely that, if your dentist in Harley Street has recommended root canal treatment, you have recently undergone a great deal of discomfort. Unfortunately, the words ‘root canal’ make many dental patients think of an uncomfortable procedure, which is the last thing you want after a painful, infected tooth pulp!

As scary as they may sound, root canal treatments are performed every day by dentists in London and are considered part of general dentistry; they are common and as is the way with common procedure, it is unlikely that anything will go wrong due to the good old fashioned ‘practice makes perfect’ undertone of dentists performing them.

Gastroville by All Day Supermarket

I’ve never been in a supermarket where grocery shopping is something so enjoyable until visiting All Day Supermarket. This establishment is from the same brand that gave us All Home and The Coffee Project (IMO, the prettiest coffee shop in MNL). In Libis Quezon City, the huge lot which Shopwise used to occupy, now stands All Day, All Home and Coffee Project a one stop for all things you need for your home, kitchen and your caffeine fix!

I found myself here one Saturday to meet up with my friends. I’ve been at Coffee Project several times and have window shopped inside All Home but this was the first time that I went on the second floor where you can find AllDay Supermarket.

Get Your Japanese Cuisine Cravings Satisfied at Hanako - Regis Center Katipunan

I will never get tired of eating Japanese food, probably until the day I die. I will also never get tired of discovering places that serves my number one favorite cuisine in the world and satisfy my cravings for all thing Japanese food. Every time I get to eat any dish from this cuisine, I will always say “I love it, I love them all!” I’ve said it in person and in all my blog posts where I feature a new Japanese restaurant I feature or blog about. Call me bias, but it is what it is.

Just last weekend, I discovered another Japanese restaurant in Katipunan, QC: Hanako! Hanako is a Japanese, casual dining restaurant.  The word “Hanako” is a popular female Japanese given name, which means 'flower girl'. The brand has been operating since October 2012. It started as a small commercial nook in Moonwalk Village, Paranaque. And their branch in Regis Center along Katipunan is just 2 months fresh from its grand opening.
