Newchic.Com Haul # 1 Review

I don't know if it's just a girl thing, but I can't stop myself from shopping for clothes, shoes, and accessories. Even though my closet is already overflowing with them; which some are still unused and still with tags. Fashion and dressing-up is a way of life to me, well.. ok... more of like an obsession. I always find myself browsing thru online apparel retail stores; sometimes without even the slightest inkling on buying anything. I just love pretty things and I'm drawn to it.

But then there are times when I cannot suppress the urge to shop. Especially when what's in front of me, or in this case, what's showing up on my cellphone screen are completely attractive pieces and at super affordable prices. That's exactly what happened to me while I was browsing thru Newchic.com's website.

SheIn.com's Publisher Program

If you regularly visit my blog (which I hope you guys do LOL) you may have noticed that I always post promotions and features for SheIn.com. Well, the reasons behind that are 1. it's one of my favorite online clothing stores and 2. I'm part of their Publisher Program. Which is for me is one of the best part of my blogging career (if I may say so).

There are lots of things that I love being part of SheIn.com's Publisher Program. I love browsing thru their website even though I'm not going to buy anything. I literally check out their website like 3-4 times a week to see what new things they have. To be honest, they have stylish and trendy items that are quite affordable.

Lucky's Burger and Bar at Tuscany Private Estates

Holidays for me mean a couple of things: family, friends and food. So what I do when friends who come home from abroad ask me to take them out? I bring them to a place I’ve never been before. In that case we can all share and enjoy a first-timer’s memory. So one lazy Monday afternoon, I met up with a college friend of mine whose home from Canada for the holidays and brought him to McKinley Hill, which is an emerging mini-urban district in Bonifacio Global City.

I thought of bringing him to the newly-opened Venice Grand Canal Mall, where there’s a replica of the Venetian canal and Rialto bridge (just like the one in Venetian Macau). Unfortunately, there weren’t any restaurants open there just yet except for a food court. And of course you don’t make a balikbayan eat in a food court; you bring them to a much more decent place where you can reminisce the good old times of your college days and do some catching up.

Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Blue

There are so many wedding traditions around the world; but for the Western world and Western-influenced countries the most prominent tradition for a bride are the "Four Somethings". They are as follows: Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Blue.

Although the original rhyme as to what the bride is supposed to have or wear on her wedding day goes like this: "Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue, and a silver sixpence in her shoe." It is often recited as the four "somethings", not including the sixpence and the rhyme appears to originate in England in an 1898 compilation of English folklore.

Curvy, Fabulous and Fashionable!

They say beauty is in the eye of the beholder and I totally agree with that. Our society nowadays has continually making changes of the standards of beauty. Social media has played a big role in  telling and convincing people which is beautiful or sexy or not; especially when it comes to body size or form. But let me tell you this, the most beautiful woman is someone who loves and appreciates her own body. Never allow anyone to define your identity or tell you you are not beautiful or sexy. We are all created differently. Someone can be beautiful to a person A but not to person B and it's their opinion and you can never change that. What's important is that you are not defined but someone else's view of you.

You can be beautiful and sexy in your own way. A person can have such a beautiful body but if her attitude is rotten or she/he puts down other people to make him/herself "feel beautiful", can you truly say he/she is beautiful? Well, it depends on you if what is your standards or your morals when it comes to beauty.

Season Promotion Begins at SheIn.com

Hello everyone! How was your holidays? I hope it was as lovely and joyful as mine! I celebrated Christmas and New Year with my family; nothing grand, just simple dinners of home-cooked meals. But New Year's Eve was the most exciting part because we get to watch a lot, and I mean a lot of fireworks on my sister's balcony. I mean everywhere you look there's fireworks going off, and they were so beautiful even though they got slightly obscured by the rain. All in all, it was such a perfect holidays for me.

As the 2016 comes, I know we want so many things to change and everything to be all brand new. On the first week of January, I id some spring cleaning and set aside all the things I want to let go and gathered up a few clothes, shoes and other knick-knacks to giveaway. Well, the main reason is to give space for new stuff! Honestly, it's just my excuse so I can refresh my wardrobe.

Churreria La Lola

I am not “too cool” not to follow a craze, especially when it comes to food. All the foodies have been creating buzz on social media about these churros from Churreria La Lola. I had two failed attempts on trying these fine fried pastry: 1) a food blogger friend of mine told me about it, we were supposed to grab some after attending an event but the mall was already closed; 2) I already ordered and was about to sit down when I saw a store of La Lola just in front of where me and my sister had some coffee and cakes.

It was only last weekend that I got to try the much-raved-about churros from Churreria La Lola. A college friend of mine came home for the holidays all the way from Canada and we would usually meet up and catch up. But before we went to Eastwood, we attended another college friend’s baby’s Christening where we also had our late lunch. Thus it left us looking for desserts instead our usual lunch or dinner when he’s back in the Philippines.
