Since my life is very uneventful lately so I have nothing much to share here on my blog. Because of this monotonous life I have at the moment,  I’ve got plenty of time on my hand to basically just stare at the monitor or at the ceiling… When you’re stress with life and all the unfavorable things that go with it, sometimes you just want to take a breather, as for me and my truest and closest friends know what I (or shall I say we) usually do some retail therapy. I don’t know what makes a girl with low emotions to at least feel a little bit happy when she does some retail therapy. And though I do something like that when my moods are not high, I still do it in a budget-friendly way.

Soft Sexy Classic Nights in Silk

I have always been a Blair Waldorf fan, the Queen B in one of the most popular and watched TV shows of this generation - Gossip Girl. I love everything about her sans her not so favorable attitude. I love her style and her affiliations with Paris, the Victorian Era and anything that is vintage or old world. I love her dresser and the painting of Marie Antoinette behind it. I love that she sleeps and do her make up and hair-dos still in her luxurious night robes and sleep wear. 

I really wanted to have my own dresser, I really don't care if it's as luxurious as Blair's but I am dreaming of one. I daydream of doing my make up and hair while donning a silk robe and chemise and getting ready for a date night feeling beautiful even before starting to put on make up or a fancy dress.

Hit the Sack in Silk

I miss having a good night sleep; I haven’t had the chance to sleep like a baby for the longest time. My usual sleep is around 3-4 hours daily, half of what is required and recommended. There are times that if I get lucky enough, I am able to sleep 6 hours in a day, yet, that still is far from the ideal amount of hours a person should rest or sleep in a day. I don’t know if it’s my sleeping condition, or how relax I am before going to sleep, or if it’s because there’s too much going on in my mind or I have too much on my plate as of the moment.  But then, it is most likely that my body clock is too messed up that it’s having a hard time to distinguish if it’s day or night and if I am supposed to sleep or not.

But I do look forward to that day when I won’t have to work at night and force my body to sleep during the day. I daydream of that day when I don’t have to use black-out curtains to shun the light and make my brain believe that it’s already night time.

Spring reminds us to embrace something new after all, even if it literally means something appeared so suddenly or unexpectedly. We tend to get used to the routine stuff that we do everyday that we forget to become more adventurous in life. Something new doesn't always means it will be good, but just like all things, these things too shall pass and who knows, they may bring us some new life perspectives...

Spring is the time when green buds appear, birds chirp, and flowers begin to bloom. Spring time is the season of rebirth, rejuvenation, renewal, resurrection, and re-growth. That is why most people do or hold Spring Cleaning around this time of the year. Those things that we don’t use are either tucked away or disposed off and replace with something new.

Current Obsession: Lace Up Heels

I’ve been such a lazy girl for years now and what I mean is that I rarely, I mean very rarely, that I wear heels to work or when going out and about. I think I’ve put too much emphasis on being old and that comfort has been more important to me than style. Back when I was in college I would wear heels with my school uniform and every time I go out you would also always find me in heels. This was to compensate for my petite height and the thought of being fashionable always. 


I still wear high heels and I still own a couple of pairs, but as time goes by and as I grew older, I’ve seen myself going to the flats section of the department store rather  than the high-heels section. I would also choose wedges over high-heels nowadays. I am a klutz too and I often trip when I wear high heels and somehow I have also lost my self confidence lately that I didn’t feel like wearing heels anymore even though they are literally one of my confidence boosters.

Whether we want to admit it or not, most of us and most of the time, we take for granted the quality of sleep that we get and so is what we wear when we sleep. Are you the type who will wear what you wore the entire day to sleep? Or change into PJs or an old oversized shirt? Well I am guilty of the latter, sometimes I just used an old-worn-out-oversized shirt to use as my sleeping clothes but most of the time I changed into a tank top and shorts before I go to sleep. They are not the most comfortable sleepwear, I guess, because I always wake up during the time that I am supposed to get a good night sleep.

But have you thought about wearing something luxurious when sleeping? Say perhaps a silk chemise? I wonder how it would feel like wearing something so soft and comfy while sleeping. I think it will greatly affect my quality of sleep. I have browsed online for some sexy and upscale sleep wear but never had the chance to buy one for myself. You know, owning one pair of luxurious sexy silk chemise once in your lifetime wouldn't hurt and at least you can say you sleep like a princess a couple of times in your life.

I really can't say I was able to have a super duper great time during my prom because ours was a very low-key event. Unlike now, that most schools usually rent a ballroom in a beautiful hotel. I wasn't also not so fond of the prom dresses that I wore back then; whenever I look at pictures of myself during the two years I attended prom, I seriously want to burn those photos! Hahahahaha! I wish there were online stores selling prom dresses back in those days.

The Allure of Silk Chemise

Whenever I see a chemise, especially the satin or silk ones, I always associate it with lingerie or something sexy. A chemise can be used as an undergarment or as a luxurious type of sleepwear. I have been wanting to own one that I can use under a pretty dress like what Gossip Girl’s Blair Waldorf does. Or as a sleep wear perhaps like what I’ve seen Victoria’s Secret Angels/Models have been strutting down the runway of Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show over the years.  In modern usage, a chemise is generally a woman's garment that vaguely resembles the older shirts but is typically more delicate, and usually more revealing. Most commonly the term refers to a loose-fitting, sleeveless undergarment or type of lingerie which is unfitted at the waist. It can also refer to a short, sleeveless dress that hangs straight from the shoulders and fits loosely at the waist. A chemise typically does not have any buttons or other fasteners and is put on by either dropping it over the head or stepping into it and lifting it up.

In decadent silk, sheer chiffon or classic cotton, chemises, cami sets and negligees add a touch of feminine glamour which your special other should only see hehehe…  Silk chemises also remind me of the clothes that women would typically wear in a “boudoir photography” which emanates both glamour and sensuality. Probably because wearing a silk chemise makes one feel alluring in a sense that a silk chemise feels super nice to wear.
