End of 2018 is approaching and fast, it is time to get those resolutions on paper or smart phone, depending on the preferences. Ola chicas! How's your holidays been? I hope you're having a good time with your loved ones. I have a question for you though, have you been naughty or nice this year? Answer it honestly alright? As for me, I guess I'm ok, mostly nice I think haha! I was just doing steady and enjoying life everyday as much as I could. 

We all deserve something that will reward us from a year of hard work, don't you agree? It's The Season To Layer

Just got out of work, it's 6:00 in the morning, it's still dark, a crescent moon is still up in the sky and the chill wind is blowing. Ahhh... Winter Solstice is here. It's That Time Of The Year To Wear Your Christmas Sweaters

Last weekend I went up to Tagaytay for my best friend’s wedding. Tagaytay is the nearest mountain range from Manila and the last time I was there even though the air is always cool it rarely fogs (though it's not an unusual thing in that area). But that morning, 3/4 of the way up I can already see a fog looming, and when we got to the roundabout the fog thickened. 

I was excited and scared at the same time. Excited that I rolled down the window then stuck my arm out to feel the coldness because I can't even remember the last time I saw and experienced such foggy weather. I was also scared because it was almost zero visibility on the road. Thank goodness that I arrived safely to where the wedding preps of my best friend is happening. Also it cleared up by mid-day and the weather was perfect just in time for the wedding.

Have you guys started your holiday outfit shopping yet? As for me, I am doing it inch by inch as I don't want to go cramming since I kinda despise doing things the last minute and end up just getting what's left on the racks. Hey you know what they say about hair? Having beautiful locks is quite a good revenge. Oh yes, when you have fabulous looking hair you gain self-confidence! That speaks volumes to me, how about yourself? As for me, it really is my crowning glory. But there are times that I want to cut my hair short because I’m sometimes tired of maintaining my long locks. On some days I really like to see what I would look like with shorter hair without actually cutting my hair because I am too afraid to cut it short and if it doesn't fit my face shape, I have to go with the pain of waiting for it to grow back again.

How to Achieve Longer, Fuller and Luxurious Hair

Since 5th grade I kept my hair long and sometimes super long because a hairstyle that ends on or above the shoulders makes my round face very pronounced and I don't like it at all. Having long hair, parted down the middle or on one side frames my face and makes it appear elongated, thus giving the illusion of a thinner face. 

For me, my hair is one of my best assets. Some people compliment me because even if I don't have it rebonded or use a flat iron, it's straight most days. The only things lacking are some proper volume and thickness. So whenever I want to curl my hair like those of celebrities and Victoria Secret models, I can't seem to achieve that no matter how much volumizing and curling products I use.

Hello lovely people of the internet! How's life going? I bet the days are getting busier every moment as the holiday season has already began. Well in my country, at least. We Filipinos start the holiday season when in September and ends it in February, probably the longest holiday celebration in the world.

The last quarter of the year will be very busy for me. I'll be doing a couple of trips in and out of the country plus the tad too many parties that I'll be attending as well. Because of that I really don't have much time to go around malls to shop; thus my default would be to do almost everything online.

How Do I Knit If I'm Left-Handed?

Anybody who is left-handed has probably noticed very quickly that all knitting instructions and tutorials are written from a right-handed perspective. For the lefties who want to get started with knitting (click here), there is just one question: can you knit left-handed? 

Left or Right? For a non-knitter, the entire problem may seem odd. Knitting is done with 2 needles, one in each hand. How is this a left/right handed issue? For standard knitting, the yarn is fed through the right hand into new stitches, and the work is done with the right needle. The left needle is mainly the base on which you work. Stitches then move from the left-hand needle over to the right as the row is completed. So knitting is definitely a directional technique. What's a leftie to do?

I am on a quest, a quest to find the best foundation that suits my skin colour and skin type. For me it's foundation day every day, I might get snarly looks and comments about me wearing foundation everyday (well except on weekends and that I don't have be anywhere but home). Using foundation everyday for some people might be too much, some say that I should wear BB cream or tinted moisturizers if I'm putting make up on a daily basis. Wishlist: Skinny Distressed Jeans from Zaful

Are you a skirt or a jeans kind-of-girl? As for this lady right here, at the moment, I am a jeans person for a lot of reasons. One, I get cold easily that's why I need to wear something that will keep me warm and comfy all day long at work. Second thing is that it's a no-brainer when I can't think of anything to wear. It's my default bottom attire most of the time. I just throw in a chiffon blouse and a jacket and I am good to go for work. 

Third, I don't have to worry with every movement I make when I am in jeans unlike when I'm wearing a skirt or a dress. When donning a skirt or a dress, I would usually wear a pair of shorts underneath so if some accident happens, I won't flash and people won't see my undies LOL! Lastly, I like to put my feet up or do an Indian sit at my work station especially if I'm struggling to keep awake (which I always do) and I can't do that if I'm wearing a skirt or dress. That's why I buy a lot of comfy but cheap womens jeans.

Retail therapy is a girl's best friend, besides diamonds (doesn't apply to me that much but it sounds nice to write or say it hehe). When I'm burned out but I can't escape the real world and go travel, this is somewhat my default stress reliever. Whether I'm browsing through the store racks or online and whether I'm buying stuff or not, just looking through pretty stuff, I think the stress is somehow lessened.

Don't get me wrong or judge me by the get go. I am not materialistic nor is my entire pay check being spend on stuff. It what it is, after all, I am just a girl. How time flies so fast… It seemed like yesterday we were all just celebrating the start of the New Year, then there was summer time, and the next thing you know it’s already the cold season. Fall or Autumn may be short, but it is as equally beautiful as all the other seasons. Especially when the leaves turn to bright reds and oranges and they start to fall off from the branches of the trees in preparation for the winter season. Unfortunately, here in my country we only experience 2 seasons, rainy and dry season. But when it rains, it tends to get pretty cold too and the cold wind coming from the north during October to December also gives us Filipinos a taste of the winter weather. It's just the middle of the week but I'm already tired as hell and already bat-shit crazy wishing that the weekend can please come soon. It's not a good week for a start, because of two typhoons hitting the Philippines. It was raining so hard, not much transportation are available and the traffic is at its worst.

During times like this, I can get really grumpy. I can't stand the rain and never liked it anyway. Also I always get torn on what to wear to work if it's raining hard. At work, from Mondays to Thursdays we are expected to wear smart casuals and only allowed to dress down on Fridays or weekends (if one's shift falls on a weekend).

Whenever I am burned out, there are a few things that help me relieve stress: food, travel, art and blogging. Food, you know, that is so given ha! Even if I'm not stressed I always find comfort in it. Well who doesn't anyway? Travel, I do it as much as I can, if the budget and time permits it. As for arts and crafts, it is something innate; I would like to claim that I am very much into it, though I have to admit I have no mastery of any particular form of art.

My family is very into these things from my uncles, aunts and siblings, we all know and love to draw and paint. My sister paints mostly on canvas and is a fashion designer, my brothers and youngest sister draw cartoons, while I, I love to scribble, doodle, do chalkboard art and make something from recycled materials and from scratch.

I was sad, then I bought something online. I feel better now. Just kidding haha! I just read that quote somewhere online. But seriously, though I hate to admit it, but retail therapy is one of the things that I do when I feel under the weather. Most girls are like that, and I am not spared. Even if I don't buy anything, I like to browse online stores or go window shopping at malls. 

So to break my streak of posting food posts, I'm sharing with y'all my latest online clothing haul. This time, it's from Dresslily.com. I always visited this site and browsed through it, yet I have made only two purchases or orders from them. They are one of the online stores that offers the cheapest items. So far I have good shopping experience from Dresslily. Shipping is as per usual the usual post office way and takes almost a month to get to me. Oh well, what can I do, the Philippine postal system somehow upgraded their system but they're still archaic in most processes.

Do you believe that? I'd say I do. The perfect shoes gives a woman that confidence boost. It's hard walking around in stiletto heels but if a girl can manage to walk in those shoes the whole day even if it can get a bit painful, the fact that she can endure that, I think she can handle anything that is thrown in her way. 

Some might say, "yeah those are just high-heeled shoes". Here's what I have to say about that: "Oh yeah? Try walking in them then let's see. Just heels eh?"
