I rarely attend formal occasions, if ever I’d attend one; it is most likely a wedding or a debut party. That’s why I don’t own any evening dress or gowns; I have just this one dress which I wore for my best friend's wedding when I was her maid of honor.
I have always dream of attending black tie events like a balls or galas of some sorts or some glammed-up red carpet events where I need to wear formal dresses. Well, even if it’s not happening soon I am already excited with the idea.
This November, there will be a bloggers’ event that I’m planning to attend and it will be a gala night. So it means attendees will have to wear something formal. Suit and tie for the men and formal evening dresses for the ladies.
I’m excited actually for this event, so I really hope I do get to attend it. I’m excited because, this will be my first time to grace such an event, and I will get to wear an evening dress!
I would really love to wear one of those
vintage style evening dresses. I have an indescribable affinity to anything vintage, and it would be very glad to wear even something like it.
As for the silhouette of the dress, an aspect I should also consider, I really find the
mermaid evening dresses very flattering to all body types even for plus-size women because they emphasize the woman’s gorgeous curves. As for the material to use, one can never go wrong with lace or chiffon, it’s feminine, elegant, soft and sleek.
I have scoured the internet for design ideas and found this lovely site
Wishesbridal that offers occasion dresses. They have lots of vintage dresses and in mermaid cut silhouettes too. If you can see the dresses I featured in these post, they are all from this wonderful site. What do you think of my picks?
