It’s Christmas Eve and I’m all giddy this time of the year, it’s actually one of my favorite day. I was once a Grinch about Christmas because one of my uncles, my favorite one, died a day after Christmas. But slowly, I appreciated Christmas as the years goes by and what it really means for Christians like me. If you haven’t noticed, I went MIA from blogging as the last quarter of this year was full of activities, travels and events. Most of the time I chose sleeping or relaxing over writing my backlogs. I just want to enjoy the last few days of this year as much as I could.
A day before I left and while I was away travelling, the items for this latest Zaful haul arrived. I waited until last week to finally take photos and write reviews for this haul. After getting back from those trips, I just don’t feel like blogging, maybe I was still hung-over from all the airplane, boat, tuk-tuk, multicab rides. Haha! Only today that I got the chance to sit down in front of my computer and finally write down this haul review.
It’s amazing how time flies, I’m already on my 15th Zaful haul and it’s so obvious how much I love this brand. I almost wore Zaful clothes the whole time I was travelling. So without further ado, here are the items that I got for this haul:
Textured PU Leather Tassel Shoulder Bag

At the moment, I’m running out of bags to use on a regular basis since I always overuse a bag if it serves me the purpose that I need. Most of my bags now are worn out, so instead of getting another clothing item, I decided to get this bag as this has so many good reviews. The bag is huge and roomy; I can put a lot of things inside that are essential to me on a daily basis. It is made of synthetic pebbled leather and has no lining. But the good thing is that it has a pocket inside where you can put your keys, ID and mobile phone. It closes with the use of a magnetic clasps and no, no zipper, but that’s ok. I just need to be careful when carrying it around in crowded places.
The quality is ok and I hope the handles won’t get ripped when I put all my stuff in there. It’s very plain except for the nice little detail of the tassel attached to one of the handles. The length of the straps are perfect for when you want to carry it as a shoulder bag. And since I got this in black, I know I can basically pair it with almost any outfit. I think I got a good deal out of this bag and I’m considering getting it in another color.
Shaping Crisscross Plunge One Piece Swimsuit

This is a slimming one piece swimwear featuring crisscross straps lattice plunge front and adjustable shoulder straps and comes with pads. Another item that I’ve been wanting to get for a long time and I just loved that it arrived just before I went to my beach trip. Just when I arrived in manila, my mumma told me that a package arrived for me, when I opened it, I excitedly tried the swimsuit on and I was so happy it fit me well, I immediately threw it in luggage together with the other stuff I’m bringing with me to my flight the following day. I have nothing but high praises for this swimsuit; the color is this ah-ma-zing emerald green! The material has a good stretch and the fabric used is of good quality. I’m kinda blessed with kinda huge bosoms, bum and hips so I ordered this in Large and it fits me well.
It’s sexy in a subtle way: the lattice crisscross design in the front part just shows the right amount of skin without looking like super racy. The bottom part also gives me good butt coverage. It somewhat looks vintage-y because of the high-waist cut and the bottom that isn’t high-cut. For the slimming effect it claims to have, I think this is because of the good coverage it gives, it accentuates your curves and shows off just the right amount of skin. It has a front-lining and comes with pads, but I didn’t like the pads because they were like cardboard stiff so I just replaced them, no biggie. The straps are adjustable and removable at the back part so you can wear it the normal way or you can also crisscross them. I like it so much that I will order it in other colors. You can check the photos below to see how it is when worn; I was able to wear it during my trip to Apo Island where I swam with sea turtles :-)
Floral Print Self Tie Wrap Dress

I love this dress, it’s so girly and reminds me of Taylor’s Swift’s style during the years of her 1989 album. The color of the dress is more like a rust color than red, brown or orange – which I love! I don’t have this color yet in my wardrobe until now and I’m glad I’ve added a new color to my usual, black-white-blue closet items. I got it in large and it fits me ok. The silhouette is very flattering, just like any other wrap-around dress. Though the upper part doesn’t give much coverage and sits too low, so I would probably use a tube top underneath to cover what needs to be covered hehe. It looks exactly like the photo on the site. The skirt part is super flowy and falls just above the knees. The sleeves have cute little details. The fabric is soft cotton and the quality is great too! Perfect for spring and summer.
Smocked Belted High Waisted Shorts

I super love the color of this short pants, the color is perfect for the holiday season. The waist is elastic so it conforms to my waist line. The material used is quite thick but still very comfortable to wear. It arrived kinda wrinkly but I ironed it on low heat and it the creases were all gone. The length is also perfect as it falls hallway to my thigh, not too long and not too short. The bow is a cute additional detail to it. Oh and it has pockets too!
Drop Shoulder Lace Up Chunky Sweater

I only own a few sweaters because I tend get hot easily and living in tropical country, it doesn’t get too cold around here too. This chunky sweater has a lovely nude pink color and pairs well with the smocked belted high-waisted shorts above. I actually got this to pair with it, because the colors maroon and old rose goes well together. To my surprise, the sweater is very comfortable to wear, it’s lightweight and doesn’t make me sweaty. The length is a bit shorter than usual, but I can manage. This should really be used with high waisted pants, shorts or skirts. What I love so much about this sweater is the lace up back detail; you can tie it loose or tight, and both will still look pretty and cute.
