Gourmet Breakfast: Kanto Freestyle Kapitolyo

It’s been a while since I posted anything regarding food. This is mainly because we have lay-lowed on going on food trips because we have decided that it is time to shed some pounds and  to eat healthier (hopefully). We both reach the point of feeling very unhealthy and not liking anymore  what we see in the mirror.  But we do have cheat days (yeah, it’s days not just a day LOL!) And it’s the only time we get to eat like there’s no tomorrow.

Early this week, while  we were doing errands, we passed by Kanto Freestyle Breakfast’s 3rd branch in Kapitolyo, Pasig City for brunch. We have been fans of Kanto Freestyle since we have discovered it.  My post about Kanto Freestyle is one of the most visited entry/popular post here in my blog, so I think it’s just fitting to post about this newest addition to the Kanto Freestyle chain. Which I hope can somehow help those who’ve been wanting to try the flagship store in Mandaluyong but finds it hard to locate.

For an overview, read my first post about Kanto Freestyle Gourmet Breakfast here: Kanto Freestyle Breakfast:Not Your Usual Neighborhood Carinderia

Kanto Freestyle Gourmet Breakfast, as of this writing, already has 3 branches: the original branch is in Plainview, Mandaluyong, which is like less than 10 minutes away from our place. But we rarely eat there because the tables are literally on the sidewalk (which I don’t mind but if I’m going there at morning or noon is not really an option), most of the time it’s full and it takes some time for your food to be served.

The second  branch is in Libis, QC. I haven’t visited this one but from the photos I saw online this one is the most inviting of all them Kanto Freestyle branches.

And the third branch is in Kapitolyo, Pasig City. Kapitolyo is one of the foodie destinations in Metro Manila. The whole stretch of East Capitol Drive, or the whole neighborhood for that matter, boasts with home grown and quaint restaurants and eateries that you and your friends can try. The last time I passed by the area , I saw several new restaurants that I’ve not seen before which I’d like to try some of them in the near future. Although, Kanto Freestyle in Kapitolyo is in First St., near San Rafael and United Streets; it is not located along  East Capitol Drive where most of the restos/shops are.

Even if the Mandaluyong branch is way closer than where I live, I would probably go to the Kapitolyo branch if I’m dining in. This is because they have a bigger space and ample tables, plus it is somewhat enclosed inside what used to be a garage.

The Kanto Freestyle Kapitolyo, is the garage of a house converted into an eatery or restaurant. Again nothing posh or chic to expect from this outlet of Kanto Freestyle, you’re paying for good food here and not the ambiance. This is what they are known for, the taste and quality of what they are serving. I think that is the most important when eating out; what will you do with a restaurant that is so comfy and pretty if it serves bland-tasting food anyway?

Ever since Kanto Freestyle gained popularity, it has been featured in a lot of write-ups and TV shows. They are showcasing these features by hanging clippings in picture frames in one of the walls of the Kapitolyo branch.

I like the Kapitolyo branch better than the Mandaluyong branch because they have more attentive and polite  waiters and they do their job pretty well. They greet you when you come in, they suggest what to order, offers you water and condiments and says thank you when you leave. The food is also served faster than the Mandaluyong branch. We had an several experiences at the Mandaluyong branch where our orders were served or given after almost an hour. Plus it’s “cozier” to eat at the Kapitolyo branch because you won’t have the problem of shunning the sun’s heat and light because there’s a roof over the whole place.

I also enjoyed  Kanto Freestyle Kapitolyo branch’s  food plating; you’ll be surprised that they even put an effort to do something like that for a simple restaurant like theirs.  It was like eating in a high-end diner (because of the food’s presentation, quality and taste) but the setting is in a neighborhood carinderia (eatery). Quite a contrast there…

They have also updated their menu, from a plastic-laminated board into a much presentable one. Yet the prices of their menu items didn’t change, still  no entry that is greater than PHP 100. More than that, the Kapitolyo branch is open 24/7 and offers delivery around the vicinity.

The Kanto Freestyle Kapitolyo branch is quite hard to locate like their Mandaluyong branch, because there are no signage outside of the place except for tarpaulin hanged outside on one of the stone fence/wall. You might not be able to catch it as well, because more often than not a car is parked outside the resto that might block the tarpaulin signage (which what happened to us). But I was able to grab a map from their Facebook page that can help you locate Kanto Freestyle’s Kapitolyo branch and enjoy their gourmet style breakfast.

  1. There are various PPC training centers in Noida and other parts of Delhi
that provide excellent training courses and cover all
important aspects of PPC. If this is happening, it’s probably because there’s
a problem with your message. With solid captions for most images on your site, you will see your rank rise on search results pages.
