It’s not breaking news or a surprise that Chinese cuisine has a great influence on Filipino food; after all the interaction between China and the Philippines started over a thousand years ago. Filipino cuisine has so many Chinese inspired dishes and that there are so many Chinese food that are “Filipinized” or made to taste that is suitable for the Filipino palate.
For me personally, one of my comfort food is gourmet Chinese dishes. That’s why even if I live on the far East side of Metro Manila, there are times I brave the traffic (pre-pandemic) just to go to Chinatown a couple of times in a year. Dumplings and smokey stir-fried Wok-cooked dishes comforts my soul and taste buds
It’s been months since I’ve eaten legit Fil-Chi dishes that’s why I’m happy I got to try Jus and Jerry’s gourmet Chinese food in the comfort of my home because of their delivery service. Jus and Jerry’s was established back in 2010. The restaurant has couple branches in Manila and surrounding areas and they offer close to the authentic Chinese food that are affordable at the same time.
I’ve only tried 3 dishes from Jus and Jerry’s but I’m already sold! Besides them, Jus and Jerry’s also offer milk tea, noodles, dumplings, pao and other Chinese dishes that you’ll surely enjoy
J&J Soy Garlic and Honey Siracha Fried Chicken – huge cuts of chicken parts with crispy skin yet saucy. The soy garlic had a perfect combo of sweet and salty while the honey sriracha was sweet balanced with just the right level of spiciness for that kick.
Yang Chow Fried Rice – this is one of my favorite Chinese dishes, just the rice is already a complete meal in itself. You can really taste the smokiness of it and imagine it being cooked on high flames on a wok. It’s also loaded with ingredients that's why it's super flavorful.
Jus and Jerry's has a current promo where they offer FREE DELIVERY for a limited time with a minimum purchase of ₱250. As of the moment they can deliver to 6 cities which includes Manila, Caloocan, Quezon City, Makati, Malabon & Navotas. They also accepts online orders from 10am to 6pm daily via their website. You may also order via Grab, FoodPanda and Mr. Speedy.
