The Grid Food Market's White Flower Tea House Beefs Up Their Menu With Lots of New Items

It’s pretty much a sign of a good Chinese restaurant if the menu is incredibly wide and varied—so much so that you almost don’t know where to start. White Flower Tea House House follows the tradition with lots of new dishes, and while you might not know what to choose first, you can be sure that any dish you start with will be tasty!

Start off with our new appetizers: We put our own spin on the classic mapo tofu by turning it into a Mapo Tofu Dip with braised ground pork and silken tofu, and serving it with crispy wanton chips on the side. The Hot Shrimp Salad Egg Roll is also a new take on the classic Chinese starter with creamy hot shrimp salad encased in a crispy, deep-fried egg roll. The Prawn Toast in 3’s or 6’s is also sure to be a crowd-pleaser, with deep-fried prawn paste served on top of a baguette with a dollop of sweet mayonnaise on top and sweet-and-sour sauce on the side.

We’ve also got lots of new specials, like a classic Mapo Tofu and Salt and Pepper Pork with deep fried pork tossed in an aromatic mix of garlic, chilies, and leeks. The USDA Sizzling Beef Pepper Ribeye is extra special, with USDA ribeye steak cut into cubes and tossed in our signature black pepper sauce with onions and leeks then served on a sizzling plate.

For seafood, new on the menu is a classic Salt and Pepper Squid and a richer Salted Egg Squid. The Camaron Rebusado is also a Chinoy favorite that makes it on the menu, while the Egg Floss Shrimp is more Singaporean inspired with deep-fried battered shrimp tossed in curry leaves, chilies, and egg floss. If you enjoy sweet-salty flavors and crunch, you will love the Almond and Honey Flakes Shrimp, which has fried shrimp tossed in mayonnaise, almonds, and Honey Flakes cereal. We’ve also upgraded our seafood salad with soft shell crab to create the Hot Softshell Crab and Shrimps Salad With Candied Walnut.

Our stir-fried noodle menu also gets more options. There’s the Malaysian Style Wanton Mee with noodles tossed in sweet soy sauce and your choice of Steamed or Fried shrimp wantons plus our Master Soup. The Crispy Noodles is always a favorite in Chinese restaurants, and it’s sure to be yours here, too: We keep it classic with a generous amount of shrimps, chicken, fishballs, and vegetables simmered in our signature sauce and served on top of crispy noodles. The Braised Beef Crispy Noodles is a different take on the dish, with braised beef, snow peas, and onions on top of crispy noodles.

For those who prefer noodle soups, we’ve also got lots of new dishes to choose from like a classic Chicken Mami, and different types of Wanton SoupsPork and Shrimp Wanton, Shrimp Wanton, and Beef and Wanton.
