LONG OVERDUE POST: CEBU-BOHOL TRIPS PART 3- Dumaluan Beach Resort

Since it has been raining in Manila for the past couple of weeks now, I can't help but think about sunny days at the beach and owing it to the fact that I haven't got the chance to travel to the beach this year. It's already August and a few more months, 2013 will be over soon. I hope that this year won't pass without me having to travel because that would totally suck. I've recently felt nostalgic and went through all the photos saved in my desktop computer and came across our travel to Cebu and Bohol; and realized that I was not able to make a blog post out of that trip. So even if it's loooong over due, I'm doing it now!

I have been to Cebu and Bohol twice, one was in 2010 and the second was in 2012. Cebu-Bohol was always a tandem trip, well that's my excuse of not being able to book any flights straight to Bohol Tagbilaran airport, many failed attempts. There are more promo flights going to Cebu than Bohol, plus  it's only a 1 hour ferry ride to go to Bohol from Cebu.

CEBU-BOHOL 2012 TRIP

DAY 3
We stayed at Dumaluan Beach Resort, it is in Panglao Island and is just beside the famous Bohol Beach Club.

The Resort
The rates are just right for the location and the quality of accommodations they offer. This part of Panglao Island is very serene and the shoreline is impeccably beautiful. And with less tourists unlike in Alona Beach. So you get a more laid back taste of Bohol. The resort is well-maintained, the staff is courteous and efficient.

Our Room
The room they gave us was huge! It can fit at least 10 people! We had a king-sized bed, a mini-ref, a huge toilet and bath, a closet, a dresser, complimentary snacks and drinks, a TV (which we didn't use), and towels and toiletries.

Our room is separated from all the other buildings and is beside the pool area with our own large veranda.

too many luggage for a 3 day trip

The following morning, after just freshening up a bit, we had breakfast at the resort's dining area. Our accommodations came with free buffet breakfast.

After breakfast it was time to hit the beach and enjoy the sand and the sea.

we were taking "selfies" even before it got its name

We walked towards Bohol Beach Club and took A-LOT of photos.

My two friends didn't want to get tanned so they just enjoyed the shade of the trees, stayed at the benches that line the beachfront and just spent time using their phones and connecting to the resort's free wi-fi.

Around noon time we went back to our room to take showers and pack our luggage because we will be leaving Bohol later that evening. Once we were done, we went back to the resort's restaurant, ate late lunch and just lounged around, chatted and took more photos.

At around 5:00pm we left Bohol aboard a ferry back to Cebu. It was a short stay in Bohol, but we definitely had some really great time!

Having read this I believed it was really informative. I appreciate you spending some time and effort to put this
information together. I once again find myself personally
spending way too much time both reading and leaving
comments. But so what, it was still worthwhile!
