The Working Girl-From Corporate to Casual: Zalora + Ezra

I've never envisioned myself working in the corporate world. Couple of years back, I've settled on the idea that I'll be wearing an all white uniform or scrub suits for the rest of my life. But fate brought me somewhere else far from the one I saw myself to be. Although I love wearing corporate clothes because it makes me feel and that it seals the fact that I'm a professional/career woman. It's hard for me to look for clothes that are versatile enough to wear even if I'm not in the office. The practical side of me always nudges me to buy something I can use for multiple reasons and occasions. Value for your money, as some may call it.

Me, from Mondays to Thursdays

When it comes to clothing, I make it a point not to compromise my fashion sense (which, I believe I somehow do have, lol!). So even when I'm at work, my fashion style still emanates my personality. Most of the time I go for basic colors, like black, white or blue. yet some other times I feel like wearing something out of the ordinary by adding some pop of color or a statement piece to my usual wardrobe.

I also came a point in my life to veer away from the latest fashion fads, knowing that my age doesn't suit what the younger generation is sporting nowadays. I might take some pieces from it and pair with a more toned down item, that will fit the dress code that is being imposed in company.

My usual dress-down Fridays

As you may all already know, I love buying stuff online and window shopping online too! Sometimes I get to spend a couple of hours just browsing the web or online shops, even if I won't necessarily purchase an item. Most of the time I just bookmark or add to my wishlist, the items that I want to purchase in the future. I also wait for these items to go on sale before I make buy them.

One online store that I usually visit is Zalora, because I often see its advertisement banners in my social networks and it entices me to check put their regular offerings.

Zalora is Asia's leading online fashion destination! Shopping online at Zalora  Philippines means the days of trawling through endless malls and stores to find that perfect fashion item are long gone. Whether you are searching for apparel, footwear, accessories or beauty products, Zalora Philippines brings you a huge collection of brands from which to choose the very best and latest. Which is a good thing for me, because I hate getting stuck in traffic and waiting for long lines at mall parkings. Especially that the holiday season is just around the corner, the streets of Manila will be crazier than ever!

Zalora Philippines, also carries well known international and local brands and designers such as Nike, Keds Men, Plains & Prints, Merrell and Cheap Monday. And if you don't have any idea of what's in and out in fashion during a certain season, Zalora has a team of style experts to help you through their Style Tab. From the latest runway trends, celebrity style, fashion features and top products, Zalora's style team will assist you in putting up the best outfit, whether for just everyday work wear or for any special event. You can also shop at Zalora to give out as gifts for your friends and family.

So going back, while browsing Zalora Philippines, I came across this brand Ezra, and got lured to check their items because I found a pair of shoes that looks almost exactly the one I've been eyeing for months now lol! A few minutes later I've found myself bookmarking the items that I want to purchase from this brand.

"Fresh, exciting and current, EZRA is for fashion-lovers who pride themselves on staying on the forefront of trends and up-to-the-minute style. Drawing inspiration from the catwalk, celebrity looks and street style, EZRA is a must-have for style-setting individuals that value unique and affordable fashion. Womenswear incorporates fun and flirty designs for the girl who loves the frivolity of fashion to the chic and trend-savvy, for the girl who likes to stand out from the crowd. Pieces that can take her from day to night with ease are paired with footwear and bags that effortlessly complete the EZRA look. EZRA’s Men’s collections embraces a wide-range of trends from youthful street-style to a more refined sartorial look that allow any guy to experiment with an assortment of modern, global-inspired looks."

Ezra meets my guidelines for buying clothes: I can use for work and for casual days. Since from Mondays to Thursdays are strictly smart-casual/corporate and Fridays are dress-down days. Moreover, it has to be stylish and even if it's not in the basic color scheme, would still be appropriate and would not merit me a memo from the boss from going too casual and "Lookbook-ish". ;-)

I also love the clean and structured style and design aesthetic of Ezra. Even their shoe collection made me drool! And oh, by the way, they also have a Men clothing line, so wifeys and girlfriends can shop for the men in their lives as well!

Check out my top picks from Ezra:

Apparel: See, they can go from corporate to casual?
Left to Right: Origami Peplum Dress, Textured Pencil Skirt, Asymmetric Sheath Dress

Left to Right: Kaftan Sheath Dress, Cross Front Blouse, Curved Hem Belted Dress

Optical Illusion Dress

Top to Bottom/Left to Right: Colour Block Tote, Contrast Side Luggage Tote-Peach, Contrast Side Luggage Tote-Black, Two Tone Tote

And of course, the SHOES!
Basic Pump Wedge in Black and Brown

Square Toe Flats Angular Front Detail and Strappy Wedges With Contrasting Piping

and my favorite of all 'em shoes from Ezra:
(This is the shoe style I've been eyeing on, the one I mentioned earlier.)

So there you have it, the items really can go from corporate to casual right? It doesn't also hurt a bit to put some color in some of my very basic work clothes. Definitely stylish yet classic and appropriate for  a working/career woman like me.
