Summer is almost here and you’re probably already really looking forward to the resort vacation you have booked. Now is the perfect time to plan what you’re going to wear but also how you’re going to take care of your skin and hair while you’re spending your vacation on the beach. Looking good, but most importantly feeling good will definitely help you enjoy your holiday to the fullest so make sure you take care of yourself even while you’re sipping cocktails on the beach.
Take care of your skin
Number one thing on your list when you start packing for your vacation should be sunscreen. You want to enjoy your holiday as much as possible and getting sunburned will definitely ruin your vacation so make sure you put on sunscreen with a high SPF religiously unless you want to spend a part of your vacation red and then the other with your skin peeling. Also make sure you bring good moisturizing creams for your face and body so your skin doesn’t get dry and flaky. Another important thing to remember when going on a vacation is getting plenty of liquid. Make sure you drink plenty of water because keeping hydrated will keep you healthy and your skin and hair looking good.
Don’t forget about your hair and nails
You want to look good while you’re on the beach and when you go out in the evening so you should also consider what you want to do with your hair and nails before you go on your vacation. All that sun, salty water and chlorine from the pool might damage your hair and all that humidity will make your hair lose its volume so make sure you take care of your hair while on holiday. Make sure you condition your hair when you wash it and consider using a head scarf or a hat when you’re on the beach. Another thing to consider is putting clip in hair extensions so your hair will look voluminous and amazing even in humid weather. Make sure you get good extensions from brands who offer quality extensions in a variety of colors.
Don’t forget to get a manicure before you go on your vacation. You don’t want to have chipped nail polish but you don’t have to bother bringing nail polish and painting your nails while on holiday. Get a shiny elegant look or a quirky, fun manicure for your vacation. And make sure you apply hand moisturizer to keep your nails healthy.
Have fun with your wardrobe
Resort vacation is the perfect time to experiment and have fun with different clothes so when it’s time to pack, be bold and creative. There are pretty much only two types of outfits that you need when on a resort vacation: beach outfit and night out in the town outfit. Planning what to wear for evenings is quite easy; just make sure you bring a couple of sexy dresses and a couple of cute tops that you can pair up with some flirty sandals.
But beach outfits is where you get to play so think about the look you want to accomplish. Do you want a more dressy beach look or a boho beach style outfit? Or would you rather wear a cute bikini and simply add a pair of denim shorts or maybe you want to have fun with prints or wear a maxi dress over your bikini? Whatever you choose to wear, don’t forget about accessories like hats, scarves, sunglasses, beach bags, and even cute jewelry.
Think about these simple tips in a couple of weeks when you’re about to prepare for your vacation so you can enjoy it as much as possible. Stay happy and healthy, make sure you look beautiful and don’t forget to have fun and relax; after all, that’s what vacation is for.
