There are so many preconceived notions about spicy foods, like they cause intestinal problems, hyper acidity etc. But did you know that spiciness is not just only for flavoring or the heat. Spicy foods actually may keep your heart healthy and may promote weight loss and kick-start your metabolism (remember capsaicin as part of the cleansing diet was popular a while back?).
Spicy foods make our mouth water just by thinking about it. Why do spicy food hurt so good?! I have low tolerance with anything spicy, but sometimes I just can’t get enough of them! Ray's Hot Chicken started only for delivery via Grab Food at their Eastwood and BF Homes, but they’ll soon be opening dine-in branches at various locations including Taft, BGC, SM North, SM Fairview. Check out below on what they are offering:
Nashville Hot Double Chicken Sandwich with Bacon – this mouthwatering, monstrous Double Hot Chicken Sandwich with Bacon is another level of heatness. It’s got double chicken patties that are made of solid legit chicken meat!
F*ckin Hot Wings – headlining Ray's Hot Chicken menu are the hot wings with literally chopped red chilis on them. Surprisingly, I braved them by drizzling some honey to counter the spiciness. Don’t worry you can choose the level of spiciness of your orders.
Sweet Yet Spicy Sandwich – uses the same chicken patty made with legit chicken meat but is sprinkled with spice and everything nice. Take it with a dash of sweetness, extra hot or effin hot, your call.
Dirty Nachos – this melty, gooey mess is a crowd favorite, crispy nachos topped with meat sauce, corn kernels, cheese and chopped parsley.
Buttered Corn – one of the side dishes and is sprinkled with chili powder (or is it capsaicin powder?) So, basically, everything is spicy!
Mac N' Cheese – same thing with the buttered corn, it’s your no-frills side dish sprinkled with chili/capsaicin powder
Nojito – wash all the spiciness with their drinks, I think this is like your mojito sans the alcohol. I can also spot some small amount of chili/capsaicin powder floating in this drink.
