Jollibee Crowd Favorites are Making a Comeback

There are so many things in our lives that we wish could have stayed and then there are those that we wish would never come back. Some things (or people) should stay in the past and no place in our present or our future. But you know what, Jollibee’s crowd favorites, are the only ones that I will allow to make a return in my life.

So ICYMI (in case you miss it), Jollibee just recently brought back Filipino favorites: The Ultimate Burger Steak, Champ Burger, Buko Pocket Pie and the Criss Cut Fries! I love Jollibee to the max, it’s one of the homegrown fast food places that I will never get tired of eating. It’s my default comfort food. Unlike most people, it’s their burger steak that I love, and their spaghetti and chicken come only second and third.

The moment they re-launched these items, I tried ordering them from the nearest Jollibee store from my place. Unfortunately, these items are only available on selected stores. Then I tried to order them via GrabFood from the branch that carries them, but it was already sold out.

Good thing, the following day, they are available again. I ordered The Ultimate Burger Steak, Buko Pocket Pie and the Criss Cut Fries but skipped the Champ Burger, since I am not really a fan of burgers.

Ultimate Burger Steak – this uses the 1/3-pound patty for the Champ Burger, which is one half or twice the size of the regular burger steak and also thicker. The patty has a beefier and tastier flavor compared to the usual burger steak. It also comes with regular fries and then you can order it with or without the sunny side eggs. The egg was well done and comes with only one serving of mushroom steak sauce. Since I ordered this via GrabFood, I left a note that they separate the fries and the sauce so that thee fries won’t get soggy when it gets delivered to, which I’m glad they followed.

Buko Pocket Pie – this uses the same pie crust that Jollibee uses for their other pocket pies This one is  filled with coconut cream and coconut bits. It’s not too sweet but just right. Although, I wish they could have formulated the taste to be like the buko pies  that are being made and sold in South Luzon. I would still prefer the peach mango pie over this.

Criss Cut Fries – seasoned deep fried criss-cross shaped potato fries. They were very fun to eat, and I was surprised that they were a little spicy. But all in all, it was good.

Have you guys tried these items from Jollibee? What’s your verdict, did you enjoy them? You can order via GrabFood, Jollibee hotline, Jollibee website or Jollibee app.
