Yummy Tea-Based Drinks and IG-Worthy Space at TANTEA Tomas Morato

I don’t know about you, but I’m one of those people who celebrates his/her birthday low key and sometimes almost never. Although my birthday falls on a day after a payday (in the Philippines) I can’t remember having any kind of grand celebration. This went on up to my adulthood. But when I started earning money, I started to celebrate my birthday on travels. Although these past few trips that I made haven’t fallen on my exact birthday. I’ll probably do that next year or the next.

This year, due to the pandemic, I can’t make any travel plans at all, even if I wanted to.  Unbeknownst to two of my friends, I asked them to go out with me on my birthday this year. I just really want to go out of my apartment which I leave every 2-3 weeks. I was going to keep it hush hush and just wanted to spend time with my friends whom I haven’t seen in person for months, but the secret was outed on one of the bloggers group Facebook page that I belong to, LOL! So that was that.

We just went to a Korean BBQ place for lunch and ate our hearts out. The place didn’t offer any desserts that we fancied so we looked for another place to satisfy our sweet cravings and we ended up at TANTEA. I know about this milk tea place since I already visited their flagship store in Binondo Manila. (which you can read about it here: Tantea Must Be Your Go To Tea Place In Binondo. I heard that this Tan Tea branch in Tomas Morato is way bigger than the one in Binondo and with a prettier interior.

Established in 2014, TANTEA is a specialty beverage store recognized globally by over 1.3 billion people. Different from your traditional milk tea beverages, this brand only uses the finest raw materials and best Hong Kong defined practices that suit the modern and health conscious lifestyle.

TANTEA originated in Hong Kong and has opened more than 80 stores in both China and Hong Kong in just 4 years. It aims to provide consumers with innovative and healthy drinks with tea as the main ingredient. The brand was also the first to use organic peach gum to come up with a collagen rich beverage which is highly beneficial to health since it is an abundant source of protein, making it famous and highly sought for by both young and old customers.

TANTEA’s unique selling point is that they are a tea shop more than a milk tea shop. They offer the most premium specialty & milk tea beverages made from only the finest raw materials with our innovative crafting methods. They source their ingredients from Hong Kong and Taiwan and uses six base teas for their 11 series: Peach Gum, Fruit Tea, Cream Cheese, Brulee, Dirty Bottle, Panna Cotta, Soda, Oolong Tea, Pudding Series, Boba Yogurt and Milk Tea.

Mango Cream Cheese

Brown Sugar Dirty Pearl Milk Tea

Strawberry Panna Cotta

For this visit at TANTEA Tomas Morato, me and my two friends decided to get just one drinks each. We were supposed to get desserts from here too, but unfortunately there was none available at that time. We ordered Mango Cream Cheese, Brown Sugar Dirty Pearl Milk Tea, and Strawberry Panna Cotta. Just like the last time I tried the drinks from TANTEA, the Mango and the Strawberry drinks were creamy and yummy. And I really like the Brown Sugar Dirty Pearl Milk Tea because it has a very strong flavor and is not overpowered by the milk.

The TANTEA Tomas Morato branch is quite spacious with a second level that has a pretty veranda. The terrace wall is line with faux plants and flowers with a big signage of the brand. Which is super perfect for any photo op or just a space to chill around. I love the lighting when we were there because it was almost sunset. Just like all the branches, this one is definitely IG-worthy!

You can dine in at this branch and of course their drinks are also available for pick and delivery via GrabFood and FoodPanda.
