On our second day in Puerto Princesa, we went to Dos Palmas Beach Resort which is in Araceffi Island in Honda Bay. Since it will be a day at the beach and we would pretty much spend more time in the water and doing other beach/water activities, I thought of just putting on my swimsuit and a cover up because we will be picked up by a van service at the hotel, then to the port and straight to the boat to Dos Palmas.
I was really saving this chiffon maxi dress for this beach trip; I got it from Ahaishopping.com which I made a blog post about it a couple of months ago (see review here).
I really love it as a swimsuit cover up, even though it has long sleeves, it didn’t bother me since it is made of chiffon so it was lightweight and air can flow freely through it. Also after swimming, when I put it back on, it gets wet when it comes in contact with the swimsuit, but a few minutes later it quickly dries up.
I’m super loving this chiffon dress as a cover-up especially when you pair it with a vintage-looking swimsuit, “ang lakas lang maka- Mada’am!”. LOL! It also would look very sexy on anyone or any body type, because of the neckline and the slit on the skirt.

After doing a whole day of beach & water activities and lots of bumming around, it was time for us to head back to the city. We won't go straight to the hotel, so we took a quick shower and changed into the extra clothes that we brought, just before we board the boat that will take us back to the Sta. Lourdes Wharf.
I got this White Short Sleeve Embroidery Sheer Lace Dress from SheInside.com; I’ve seen this exact same design mostly as tops, only in SheInside that I found a dress counterpart. It is very sheer because it’s made of lace/crochet, so if you’re using it as a dress you need to wear a slip, chemise or something underneath it.
It can also be used as a swimsuit cover up, but as for me I can’t. Its length falls below my knees and it would be really unflattering (yeah the disadvantage of being petite). Because it’s long, I put on a belt to cinched my waist and to pull the dress up to lessen the length and it did worked somehow.
I’m super loving this dress that even if it doesn’t fit perfectly length and width-wise, I’m still going to wear it as long as I want to. I’m also planning to alter it to make it shorter and narrower, I’m still figuring how without destroying the design of the dress.
