Spiral at the Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila

For years now Spiral Buffet at Sofitel Philippine Plaza is still the number 1 buffet in Metro Manila if not the Philippines. I was able to try it only earlier this year after being invited by Sofitel and Zomato for some food and cultural promotions. I have heard and read a lot of good reviews about Spiral Buffet Restaurant and it was time to taste and see if the claims are true.

Give your palates a taste of the world and let your imaginations run wild as sumptuous international dishes are served in a first-class interactive dining setting that is uniquely Spiral. With over 350 international dishes on its menu, this iconic restaurant offers an enticing journey of taste one simply cannot resist. By embodying its core values of authenticity, simplicity, tradition, innovation, connectivity and personalized service, Spiral has become the epitome of superior dining.

Available cuisines or the so-called 21 dining ateliers includes: Salad and Appetizer, L’Écailler, Sushi Sashimi, L’Epicerie, Hot Japanese, French Stove, Rotisserie, Wood fired Oven, Churrasco, North Indian, Asian Noodles, Peking Duck Oven, Steam Baskets, Chinese Wok, Filipino, Thai, Korean, La Boulangerie, La Patisserie, Chocolaterie and Creamery, American (New), Asian Fusion, Buffets, Chinese, Filipino, Fondue, French, Indian/Pakistani, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Pizza, Seafood, Spanish/Basque, Sushi Bars, Thai and Vegetarian

I love how elegant and upscale the buffet and dining area - very fitting for such a first class hotel in Manila. And it is massive, both the dining area and where the food are displayed and placed.

A lot of international cuisines are available and are prepared and cooked by both international and local chefs. Because the dishes are plenty I think the best time to come here is when you're suuper hungry. The key is to get only portions if you want to try everything. I have seen and tried a couple of dishes that I don't usually see in other buffet restaurants.

Spiral Buffet Restaurant also have a while room full of cheeses from all over the world! It is cheese heaven for cheese-lovers like myself.

Spiral is also known for their uber yummy desserts and chocolates. I tried almost everything on the desserts and chocolate counters and I was not disappointed.

I also love that they have seafood! Lobsters, crabs and shrimps galore! Good thing I took my anti histamine on my way to Sofitel so I was able to enjoy one of my favorite things to eat in the entire world!

Buffet prices at Spiral us a bit pricey, but for the service, food quality and taste, I believe it is worth every penny. If you're resourceful enough you can find cheaper prices for Spiral's buffet in some group-buying sites once in a while.
