Hair That Looks Like You Stepped Out of Salon, Like Always
Hey girls, I know you would likely agree with me when I say that it would be lovely if every time we stepped out of our homes and go about our daily lives and we look like million dollar bucks. Like.All.The.Time. Majority of us is in no way like Kim Kardashian who revealed a while back that her everyday beauty regime takes two hours with a whole team of stylists.
I know we are not celebrities but our lives are also quite chaotic and busy and we treasure our time and it is not every day that we have two to three hours every day to prep. But you know what, there quite a few simple things that every girl can squeeze into our daily beauty routine to improve our crowning glory.
Keep ‘Em Clean
Everyone actually knows or should know this, which having a very good hygiene is the key to looking good and at your best. I bet you've heard this phrase one too many times before: "Oh he/she looks always fresh and neat" albeit, that person is not the best-looking dude or gal that you have ever seen. Head-to-toe hygiene is very essential, not only that it makes you feel comfy and good, that also helps you in keeping your body healthy. I don't know about you, but I can't last a day without washing my hair and most specially without taking a shower. All throughout the day our entire body accumulates dirt and other unwanted (and even unseen) particles; add to that sweat and oil that our body produces. If that doesn’t make you feel icky when get home at night, well, I don't what is. Always look for a shampoo and conditioner that suits your hair needs well. Also make sure that they keep your hair smelling fresh all day long.
Use Protectant When Using Styling That Requires Heat
If you can’t avoid using curling or flat irons to style your hair, using hair protectant (your choice, spray, cream, gel etc.) is a must. Because your hair believe it or not is part of your skin. Just like the rest of your body, heat causes damage to it too. Like the fact that you need to apply sunscreen everyday to protect your skin from harmful rays, you have to apply some screen to your hair to prevent it from getting toasted. Hair protectants wrap the hair shaft, forming a protective barrier, calms frizz, seals in shine, blocks humidity, and conditions strands. The best time to use apply it is when your hair is till damp and of course before you subject your hair to styling tools that imply heat.
Curls, Curls, Curls
Yes, I included it in this article for the reason that they are fancy, versatile and gives the idea that one is well-made. Having a head of bouncy curls pretty much guarantees that you’ll be noticed no matter where you are and that’s a good thing. But if you don't have naturally curly or wavy hair instead of opting for a perm that may cause damage to your hair, so another pretty option that allows you to wear curls is by using body wave types of extensions. Attach some wavy lace frontal hair extensions and voila! Your curls are big, bold and beautiful.
Condition Daily and Do Some More Deep Conditioning Twice Weekly
Hair like most part of our body needs a lot of TLC. Based on personal experience, after subjecting my hair to years of chemical treatments and dyeing, it is very impossible for me to be able to comb or even manage my hair if I don’t use conditioner. To prevent my hair from further breakage and all that bad things, I also use hair masks once or twice a week. And I’ve noticed that the hair fall is lesser and split-ends are rare. Hair masks comes in different formulations and price. They are very accessible and not pocket-burning at all. And just think of the benefits that it bestows on your hair.
Avoid Chemical Treatments If You Can
I know highlights and lighter hair can bring out your bone structure and make hair shimmer in the sun, but go the wrong route and the look can turn stripy or brassy very quickly. Not to mention the major damage it may do to your hair as bleach and peroxide strip the hair cuticles. Find an alternative way to achieve that by using hair bundles in shades one or two lighter than your own hair. The good thing about this is that when you get tired of the look and the highlights you can ditch them any time you want.
Eat Healthy for Healthier Hair
Looking good is just as much about taking care of your body on the inside as it is about using products on the outside. Eat your way to healthier, stronger hair with food rich in Protein, Iron, Vitamin C, Omega-3 Fatty Acids, Biotin, Vitamin A and Vitamin E.
Beautiful hair definitely takes dedication, patience, and care but just like anything you pour your heart into the results will be oh so worth it.
