Taming My Luggage For Good with Bagail’s Packing Cubes

On my blog’s side bar, you can find my profile where I say there that I love to travel whenever time and finances permits it. It still holds true to this day. I make it a point to at least do it once every quarter. And go someplace where I’ve never been before. For me, the meaning and importance of travel is summed up by these two quotes: “I’d rather have a passport full of stamps than a house full of things” and “I haven’t been everywhere, but it’s on my list”.

The more I travel, the more I want to see and experience the world and other cultures.  Travelling makes you get to know different kinds of people, eat different kinds local food (my favorite part of travelling TBH), learn a couple of foreign words or phrases and just appreciate every place’s beauty. Travelling is the best experience for me. The more you travel, it makes you less ignorant, prejudice and makes you realize that everyone is unique.

I usually plan my trips, do my research and do everything ahead of time. But you know what I dread the most? Packing. Yep. I try not pack in haste; I actually list down stuff that I would bring and then like two to three weeks before my trip, I throw stuff inside my luggage. Then days before the trip, that’s when I start downsizing and packing. But you know, what I still end up with a lot of stuff. My friends always joke around that I’m going on a 3 days and 2 nights trip but I pack like I’m never coming back. Hahaha! I don’t know, I just can’t be a backpacker ever. That’s why I always purchase baggage allowance with my flight so I can bring a suitcase with me besides my duffel bag for carry-on.

But what surprises me is that even if I fill my luggage to the brim, I never experienced paying for excess baggage. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong, maybe it’s the way I stack my stuff or the way I fold, I dunno... I’m going on another trip very soon and I’ve decided to learn some packing hacks on YouTube and one of them is doing the military style roll. And then another good thing happened, Bagail.com sent me something that will help me pack efficiently and in an organized way.

Bagail is an online wholesale shop offering diverse and high quality bags online at very affordable prices. I received a 6 Set Packing Cubes in fuschia. This set of travel luggage packing organizers contains 3 sizes and comes in 2 pieces per size. From what I heard, packing cubes will revolutionize the way you pack.

I love the color that I got, albeit not my first favorite color. The cubes are made nylon, making them durable, ultra-lightweight, and easy to wash alongside my other dirty laundry post-trip. With the material used, they will allow my clothes to breathe, as well as protect them from any spills or other scenarios in which if my bags get wet. They will also prevent my clothes from getting wrinkles and damages unlike if I just do my usual way of packing.

After learning the military roll when it comes to folding clothes, these cubes will keep my things organized and reduce space inside my luggage. Because of that I can finally maximize the weight of my baggage allowance. I also like that I can pack the cubes vertically and use them like drawers in a suitcase or carry on. Each cube also have a handle on them for easy management. And because of that in case of excess baggage, I can just whip that cube out and bring it as a carry on.

Another thing that I like about these cubes is that they have mesh cover which is very helpful when it comes to visibility. You can pull that one specific cube out of your bag to get exactly what you need instead of flipping through piles of clothing in a suitcase. The smallest size in rectangular shape is so perfect for my brassieres and swimsuit tops so they won’t get deformed. This smallest size also can hold a pair of shoes or two pairs of sneakers.

Lastly, even unpacking becomes easier as you can pop the cubes out of your luggage and into the hotel closet. I can also store travel belongings in between trips because there are certain items that I might only use when I travel like sunblocks, waterproof casing for cellphone etc. So instead of me taking everything out, only to have to look for them again for my next trip, I can just store them in a packing cube to make them easy to find.

I just realized that these cubes of zippered goodness will give seriously give me back some of my sanity while I travel! They help you to stay organized, keep your belongings compact, and find what you need in record time from the abyss of your suitcase. Interested with these packing cubes?
