6 Cheap and Easy Ways To Transform Your Space

If you want to transform a new space that you have moved into or change up a room that is starting to get a bit boring, there are many cheap and simple things that you can add or change about a room to transform the space. It is vital to have a happy and healthy home so that you can stay motivated but also relaxed at home, but there is no need to spend lots of money or make any significant changes if you don’t want to. Below are some tips that will help transform your room, but won’t cost you are a lot of money:

Put dry goods in jars
If you have open shelves in your kitchen where you store your dried goods such as rice or pasta, instead of keeping in their plastic packaging, you could buy yourself a collection of glass jars to store them in. This simple change will help your kitchen to look a lot more sophisticated and intentioned.

Put posters in frames
When you think of a poster, you might think of a students room at university. However, there is no reason why you shouldn’t use a poster or a beautiful print to spruce up a room. Choose the poster that you want and buy some A1 frames or any other size that will fit the poster. Putting a poster in a frame looks a lot better than it just being stuck to a wall, and whenever you want to change how the room looks, you can change the poster. Framed posters don’t even have to be hung on the wall; they can look just as good on the floor propped up against the wall. Don’t be afraid to play with placement.

Change out the cushions
If you have cushions on your sofa or your bed, you could change the covers on them to change up how the room looks. If you decide to change the colour scheme, you could do this at the same time as when you change the poster so everything in the room stays cohesive.

Rearrange your shelves
An excellent way to change up a room without having to buy anything new is to rearrange your shelves. If you have bookshelves, you could change the way your books are arranged. If you have them in alphabetical order, maybe you could put them in colour order. If you have shelves with ornaments, photographs, and other items on them, maybe you could rearrange them to make something different the focal point.

Change your lighting
To change the atmosphere of a room, you can adjust the lighting. You could dot around a few different lamps, or fairy lights to make the room more relaxing in the evening. A new lampshade can even give a new look to a room without you having to do much else.

Drape a blanket on your sofa
To make your living room feel cozier, you can drape a blanket over the back of the sofa. When you want to change the look of the room you can also change the blanket.
