Foodie Trip: Kopi Tiam

I may not be a hard-core food critic but I'm a hundred percent foodie! I love food and I love to eat (that's why I easily gain weight lol!). I have a long list of my favorite dishes and desserts. You can't force me to choose just one. I have a group of friends, a.k.a. Pokerfaces, who I have been friends for 7 years now... and counting! For several months now, a couple of us get together and bond over food. Almost, or every other Sunday night, we look for new  places where we can dine and just converse about anything under-the-sun.

A few months back, we have discovered this restaurant near Camp Crame, named "Kopi Tiam". It's one of the restaurants from the North Park group.

It's situated at No. 3 C. Benitez Street in Horseshoe Village in Quezon City. It's near Camp Crame. I believe it's an old house converted to a restaurant. The place has a cozy and sophisticated ambiance and serves mostly Asian dishes. The price is reasonable for how good the dishes taste. I'm someone who always make sure to get the best value for my money. If I eat somewhere and afterwards felt that what I paid was not worth of the food's quality, I don't ever come back to that place. So Kopi Tiam is one of the exceptions.

Every dish that we have tried out at Kopi Tiam receives a two-thumbs up! But my recent favorite will be their dessert "Warm Choco Tablea".

By the looks of it, I bet you're already drooling over it. Lol! You should be! Their website described it perfectly: "Melt in your mouth chewy chocolate". It has the perfect full cocoa flavor with a custard on top which the sweetness is just-right. Although I suggest you share it with someone, or else you'll get satiated.

-Yang Chow fried rice
-King Dao spare ribs (salt and pepper) --> I love the combination of the spare ribs plus the pickled radish and vinegar
-Lechon macau --> with Hoisin dip, yum!
-China Chicken (roasted chicken)

Desserts
-Warm Choco Tablea (of course!)
-Moist Chocolate cake (chocolate cake with layers of caramel or toffee, with white Belgian chocolate shaving on top)
