Dresslily.com Haul # 1 + Review

Like I always say, a girl can't have too many clothes. If my wardrobe equates with money I would be one of the richest in the world haha! My clothes are my precious possessions and they speak volumes about me. I don't know with you guys, but shopping is always my therapy, whether be it just window shopping IRL or online.

Speaking of online shopping, I think if there's a major in college about online shopping I'm on already on my masters. I window shop online, like a lot. I visit so many sites, and one of them is Dresslily.com but only recently that I got to try purchasing any stuff from this site.

For this mini-haul, I am going for a blue theme. My favorite color of al because it reminds me of the sea. I only bought 3 items from Dresslily and I kind of love most if not all of what I got.

Embroidered Striped Fitting Blouse

I've been starting a love affair with striped tops with embroideries after seeing so many people wearing them. Especially that this looks like some of the popular items from Zara and Mango. Unfortunately this top is quite snug around the chest area and kinda hard for me to move around while wearing. I'm looking for a way to kinda loosen the tightness around the bust part. Or maybe I need to lose weight or fats LOL.

  

This top is pretty and well-made especially the embroideries. There are also extra huge gold automatic buttons on its side -- cute little details. The cloth though is a bit stiff or maybe because I haven’t washed it yet. Anyway I still like it.

Trendy Spaghetti Strap Sleeveless Pure Color Knee Length Lace Dress Material: Lace / Fabric Type: Broadcloth / Dresses Length: Midi / Season: Spring/Summer 

I already have this exact same dress in red but this color, it's just so pretty that even if this is a bit on the pricier side I knew I have to have it. I like the shade of this blue that you can't put your finger whether it's blue or lilac. It's also made of lace or I think the proper term fir this type of cloth is "Guipure Lace" which is a type of bobbin lace. It connects the motifs with bars or plaits rather than net or mesh. Guipure is a French word, which now means tape. It used to describe lace which has a gimp or thicker thread to outline the pattern.

I love the cut out details on the chest and hem area. Also that it uses a metallic gold zipper which gives this rather girly dress an edgier appearance. I got this XL for fear that the sizing might be smaller than usual. But it turns out the size guide is true, so this is a little bit large in around my upper body. This is also supposed to be a midi dress but since I'm a petite lady it almost reaches my ankle. But all those concerns aren't a biggie. I will have this altered to fit me well. 

Pair of Geometric Faux Crystal Earrings

Besides the blue dress, these earrings are my fave in this haul. They are of good quality and no missing faux stones. This was inside a bubble wrap package when it arrived to prevent damage while in transport. 

What I didn't like though are the silicone/rubber earring backs that it came with which lessens the elegance of this earrings. I will most likely replace them with metal ones. Another thing I really love about these earrings is the size. It is not too big nor too small, just the right size for my face. I can't wait to use them!

After this haul, I think I'll buy again from DressLily. Their items are quite nice and more affordable compared to other sites that I regularly visit. You can check out these items by clicking on the links below the photos:
