Dresslily.com Haul # 3 + Review

I know many of you girls will agree that we can’t have too many clothes, too many accessories, too many shoes or too many bags. It is what it is; but whatever… hahahaha! I am so guilty with impulse buying; I love buying things that I know I won’t immediately use. I have many of those moments when I’m browsing through a store on an online shop and I’ll get something thinking, “oh this looks nice, I’ll probably need something like this soon…” There are a lot of times I don’t get to use some of the stuff that I buy and some I do.

I haven’t done much shopping as of late. Besides that, I’m saving up for my future travel plans, I still have tons of clothes and accessories that I haven’t had the chance to wear or that I’ve only used only once or twice. But, (yes I said but hahaha) how can a girl like me resist if I am being offered a gift card and go on a mini shopping haul from one of the great online stores I always frequent. I had no choice but to cave in hahahaha!

Before I show and give out my review of the products that I got from Dresslily, let me introduce them first, just in case some of you are not familiar with this brand. DressLily is one of the leading international online fashion clothing and accessory stores. They focus on the very latest in affordable fashion styles, both apparel and accessories; they feature thousands of the newest product lines, providing maximum choice and convenience to their clientele. With a world of styles and thousands of products at your fingertips at great prices, with DressLily, your purse will love you as much as your wardrobe.

So here are the items that I got for my third Dresslily haul:

Hepburn Vintage Series Hollow Out Lace-stitching Design Retro Dress
Material: Polyester / Color: Black / Style Type: Vintage / Collar Type: Lapel / Sleeve Length: Sleeveless / Occasion: Party/Date / Silhouette: A-Line / Dresses Length: Knee-Length

Another item that I still don’t know when and where I’m going to use it for, but this dress appealed so much to me especially that it got “Hepburn” in its name, it looks vintage, it is black and it’s unique. I also love this kind of chiffon fabric which I think is called plumeti. Plumeti is a fine lightweight dress fabric of cotton, wool, or rayon that is woven with raised dots or figures on a plain background producing a feathery or embroidered effect. This material gives any item of clothing looks old-world and I love anything vintage.

This dress is actually a 2-piece dress. One part is the dress made of polyester with plumeti cloth attached to it as its ruffled skirt. And then the removable cape part. I really like it as I have never seen anything like it nor has seen anyone wearing it. I love the crisscross straps and that the dress length hits knee. I also like that it’s so versatile I can wear it in any formal or semi-formal event. Since it is colored black, I can mix and match it with just about any accessories. I don’t know if Audrey Hepburn really wore the exact design of dress but I think the dress is appropriately named as it exudes so much of Audrey Hepburn’s classic, feminine, sleek and glamorous style. I’m super excited to wear this!

Earring Type: Ear Cuff / Metal Type: Lead-tin Alloy / Style: Punk / Shape/Pattern: Animal / Weight: 0.0290kg

I’m a huge Game of Thrones fan and a huge fan of ear cuffs as well! I bought this dragon shaped ear cuffs as an ode to the House of Targaryen of which’s sigil is the dragon. I think this comes in silver and gold color but the one I received is gold. It’s lightweight and is made of lead tin alloy. I hope this doesn’t tarnish that easily and doesn’t break easily too. Another downside of this though is that you can only wear it on the left ear and what is available at Dresslily is for the left ear. I utterly love it but it’s quite small that it doesn’t fit my ear that well unless I put the stud part on the farthest piercing on my ear lobe (I have 3 piercings on both of my ear lobes by the way). It’s also very cheap for its price so I guess this is a good buy.

Earring Type: Drop Earrings / Style: Romantic / Season: Spring, Summer / Shape | Pattern: Geometric

While browsing the earrings collection of Dresslily, these native-looking pair of earrings caught my eye. They are perfect for the summer time (which is just around the corner) and will complement any summer outfit and swimsuit. It’s made of rattan and woven to the shape of a mini-fan. I like that these are stud earrings as I prefer stud earring rather than clip-ons or drop earrings since they stay put in place. The size is also just right for the size of my face; not too small and not too huge. I love these earrings and I’m surely gonna wear it regular in the summer time.

Product weight: 0.0044 kg / Metal Type: Lead-tin Alloy / Specifications:

I was browsing through jewelries when I spotted this one. I wear a lot of necklaces and sometimes some body chains when I’m in a swimsuit but this is the first time I saw a body jewelry that will greatly complement any backless or low back dress. I just find this one a sexy accessory that though I still don’t know when I’ll be able to use it, I just decided to get it anyway. I’m pretty sure I’ll be able to use it one of these days or I’ll find a way to use it.

The chain is made of alloy, the normal metal + plastic component that you would see with other fancy jewelries. I just hope this doesn’t easily tarnish. The gemstones that embellishes the whole thing is just made of plastic but it isn’t cheap looking, well at least in my opinion. The front part though confuses me because the photo on the website shows that there’s a gem that sits on the neck, but what I received, the gem sits on the side where the lock is. I don’t know if I’m just wearing it wrong and I haven’t figured out how to put it on. But it looks nice over all.

Earring Type: Drop Earrings / Material: Acrylic, Thread / Color: Black’ Gold / Style: Trendy / Shape | Pattern: Geometric / Weight: 0.0310kg

Tassel earrings has been a huge trend last year and up until now and of course this is one trend that I will follow as evidenced by the several number of tassel earrings that I own as of the moment. I have already something that look likes this but that one has other colors. I thought of buying this because this looks more versatile since these only have two colors (black and gold) that can be paired with just about any outfit. It’s really nice and pretty and I received it in good condition. But the only thing that I don’t like with these earrings is that they are way too big. I wish they were half their size so I can wear it on regular days without looking too loud. They are almost the size of my palm and too extravagant to wear on casual days. I think I can only use this for when I go partying/clubbing or if I have to attend a fancy event.

Item Type: Pendant Necklace / Necklace Type: Link Chain / Material: Alloy / Shape | Pattern: Round / Weight: 0.0110kg

I’ve seen this necklace online one too many times already and I really wanted to have one. I was ecstatic to find that Dresslily has it in their necklace collection. I wanted this because I love to travel and this will remind me to always have that longing to travel and explore other cultures and traditions to open my eyes to the world and avoid being prejudice. I love how it looks and the length is just right. My only concern is that the chain and the pendant doesn’t look it’s of good quality as they are made of alloy and not of stainless steel. The color looks too bright and it’s too obvious that it’s just a fancy jewelry compared to the stainless steel necklaces that I have bought in the past (they don’t tarnish too). I hope, again, that this doesn’t tarnish that easily. Either way I really like it and will probably wear it a lot of times.

So, what do you guys think of my third Dresslily haul? Fancy any of these items? I’ve written the links of the products down below. Dresslily items sells fast like pancakes so there might be a chance that some of these are already out of stock, but I’m pretty sure you’ll find something similar or something that you will love on their website.
