Missing Coron...Mommita's Lodge

Where we stayed: Mommita's Lodge. Our accommodation was a referral to a friend, who was with us during our first trip: Mommita's Lodge. It's not a hotel or any fancy place to stay, but you will be overwhelmed from the hospitality that this place will make you experience.

I think it's their house converted into a lodge with spacious areas and a couple of rooms and toilet/baths. The  place is well maintained and always clean.

The rates? It's all in! When you contact the owner, Mrs. Esther P. Reyes (or fondly called as "Mamita" by her guests)  she will ask details of your arrival and departure (time and dates) plus how many of you will be coming over. She'll base her rates from these info, the larger your group, the cheaper the rates get. FYI: The rates are cheap and reasonable! And when you confirm, don't bother doing anything except to pay the reservation fee (the remaining will be paid before you leave Coron), pack your stuff and count the days 'til you fly off to paradise!

The rates already includes the food, tours, transfers and accommodations. Staying at Mommita's Lodge is a trouble-free vacation. Once you step foot in Busuanga Airport, worry no more; a driver with a van will pick you up and drive you to Mommita's Lodge and will pick you up again and bring you back to the airport on the day of your departure. All your activities and destinations will depend on your length of stay, all the entrance fees, boat ride and transportation charges (in Coron) are covered by what you'll pay Mamita. You will be designated your own rooms that are spacious and neat. Everything you need is there: towels, clean sheets, shampoo, soap etc. If you want to have coffee or chocolate in the morning before you head off to your tour, you can just go to the dining area and make yourself one. You will also be accompanied by a house-help of Mamita as your own tour-guide and assistant; they're very friendly and courteous!

And the food... didn't think I'm going to left that one out, do you? Brace yourselves, these are some of the photos of what was served to us:

I was not able to  take photos of all the dishes they served us, by the time we realize we haven't taken photos, we already devoured most of them! Lol! You can't blame us! We were so hungry after a whole day of trekking, swimming and snorkeling! We were feasting everyday on crabs, petite lobsters, huge shrimps, veggies and grilled fish, chicken and pork! Take note, we still have snacks in between! lol!

Tatay Lito is the best cook ever! He prepared all these dishes for us! (Well for all the guests at Mommita's) I don't know but I have this idea (or maybe fantasy) that Coron is my second home, hahahahaha! Staying at Mommita with Mommy Esther and the rest of the household is like going to one of your relatives who live sin the province. This is probably because of how much hospitality they have shown us, I can't reiterate that enough! Mamita is very sweet, accommodating and caring, greatly reminds me of my own grandma...

When we were on our way home, we realized how hassle-free it was to stay at Mommita's Lodge. That's why I always recommend this place to all of my friends who are planning to go to Coron. Here are Mamita's contact details (photos of the rooms are on their website):
