Summer Essential: The Playsuit

Playsuits were immensely popular in the 70’s and 80’s. Now, they have made their long-awaited return on the fashion scene. The combination of versatility, comfort and stylishness is definitely the winning combination. This practical but trendy piece of clothing can be worn in myriad of ways. 

How to wear it?   You can always play with the classic style, wearing a solid playsuit with statement jewelry or other bold accessories. On the other hand, print and bright colours go well together with this lovely piece of clothing. Keep it simple but sophisticated with a white playsuit and a statement black coat fulfilled with a silver pointed toe pumps. For the casual wear, choose a vibrant playsuit, a statement piece of jewelry and high heels boots. A leopard-print playsuit and a solid colour crop cardigan paired with a golden belt and a mahogany wide-brimmed hat is an unbeatable combination. A ¾ sleeved playsuit with horizontal stripes and nude roman sandals is a simple but stylish look. A spaghetti strap playsuit worn atop a white crop top with black horizontal stripes and accessorized with a black wide-brimmed hat and Lennon sunglasses is the perfect combination for the casual wear. For summer festivals, choose a white romper, a colourful kimono atop, a boho necklace and white sandals. 


How do celebrities wear playsuits?
  Eva Longoria showed us how to combine simplicity and elegance with the polka dot playsuit and the white blazer. Be gorgeously elegant in the outfit Caroline Flack arrived at the 2014 Brit Awards. She wore the futuristically designed azure blue playsuit with the floral sandals and deep red nail polish. This look paired with slicked back hair looks effortlessly sexy. Kendall Jenner was seen in the silver linen playsuit and white bag by Longchamp and she looks stunning. Her red lips are the ideal make-up for this outfit. If you want to accomplish more edgy look, see Miley Cyrus in the skull playsuit and the black boots. Vanessa Hudgens was adorable in the pink floral printed playsuit and the lilac suede sandals at the Watchman premiere. Add gold bangles and black nail polish and your outfit is complete. Black Lively appeared for the CW’s 2009 Network UpFront Party looking stunningly beautiful and alluring in the baby blue silk playsuit and the nude peep-toes high heels paired with multiple gold bracelets and natural make-up.  The playsuit is a practical piece of clothes which can be combined with anything you love wearing.
