The Interior Trends You’ll Be Loving in 2017

Living in a stylish and perfectly decorated apartment is something that we all want, right? Unfortunately, often complete interiors changes may not be practical, let alone affordable. But don’t get discouraged now! There are so many ways to jazz up your living space and make it trendy by making some minor changes that can have amazing effects. Here are the biggest décor trends for this year, so you can get inspired and make your place both stylish and homey.

Incorporate nature
In the recent years, green and eco-friendly living has become an essential part of the world’s consciousness. We have realized that the Earth needs some help from all of us to be able to support us in return for many years to come. Even Pantone’s color of the year is called Greenery, and the main focus is on incorporating nature in all the spheres of life.

When it comes to interior design, green means both the color and the materials we use. Therefore, think along the lines of wooden furniture, with the addition of cotton, for example in couches and armchairs. Wool rugs, throw blankets, and accent pillows will instantly make space feel warm and cozy. Of course, there is no green without plants, so think about buying some of them for your new apartment. There are no downsides to this—they’re healthy, pleasant to look at, and can soften any room instantly. Finally, you can incorporate another 2017 trend in this green concept: bold, brave wall colors such as lime or grass green will definitely be mood lifters.

Try eclectic
Although it’s not entirely true that there aren’t new things anymore, we can’t help but admit that in recent years we’ve seen the renaissance of numerous trends from the 20th century. You may think that this happens only in fashion, with flapper haircuts, retro 50’s dresses, and platform shoes, but it’s present everywhere. Depending on your preferences, you can combine several interior design styles to make something new, and completely yours. Just remember that it’s not only okay, but it’s also trendy, to combine, say, vividly colored 70’s chairs with traditional, high-end looking baroque mirror, and a modern, comfortable pastel couch.

Whether you’re a fan of minimalistic spaces or you’re more of a creative hot mess, your new apartment is a blank canvas for you to decorate, and the good news is that the world of decorations is your oyster.

Go hard or go home
Okay, this kinda loses meaning here because you are about to go home, but the point is, the décor trends of 2017 are going to be bold. Unlike the previous years, when all the walls were white and creamy, the color to try this year is navy and indigo blue. It might sound dark in the first place, but with a lot of natural and lamplight, you might strike gold. Speaking of gold, it’s a perfect match to the blue, and even if you’re not feeling blue, make sure to add some shine. Gold elements such as table legs, doorknobs, or frames will add that perfect feeling of style and good taste, and the same goes for silver, brass, and copper. For the just right pieces to decorate your home, look for home decor online.

If you’d like to incorporate some art here, feel free to ‘jumble’ all your favorite pieces together. Even though you might think that some things just don’t go with the other, remember the eclectic part and you may be surprised with how great the outcome will be. A modern print next to artistic photos, all together with a painting will only express you and your personal style. And if someone says it’s wrong, just laugh, because it’s your home!
