Purple Is The Color Of Royalty

Homecoming is a school event and honors the tradition of welcoming back alumni of a certain school. It is a tradition in many universities, colleges and high schools especially in the United States and other western countries. Although in my country, we don’t usually celebrate it just like in the west, I believe homecoming in the Philippines is done in a more casual way, say, just like an ordinary get-together or school reunion. I haven’t attended one just yet but I am looking forward to that.

By the way, a homecoming event should not be confused with prom, as they occur at different times of the year. In the United States and other western countries that celebrate it as a formal event, Homecoming usually occurs in the fall, and prom usually occurs in the spring. And I know for a fact that people from these countries are always looking forward to the Homecoming dance which is the culminating event of the week (for high schools). Since it can be formal or informal event, the Homecoming dance attire is more semi-formal than prom. Women may wear knee length dresses or long dresses depending on what outfit ideas they have in mind. But it’s almost summer in the Northern hemisphere, and fall or autumn comes next so I know some of you are already preparing for your Homecoming 2015 events.

Most girls and women choose very safe colors for their dresses for this type of events. But here is a suggestion to stand out from the crowd? Wear Purple Homecoming Dresses which is a color that is usually not seen in most homecoming event.
