10 Life-Changing Questions That You Should Ask Yourself

Life is a challenge that unfolds with every passing day and you cannot plan it to go your way. Everyone has some questions that need to be answered to make their life better and to become a better person. There may relate to your career, health and relationships and can be life changing. Getting answers to these questions is of great importance as they can give you a new direction and open your mind. They provide the strength to face any situation and resolve any conflicts that you face. While these life-changing questions differ from person to person, there are some that everyone comes across once or more during their lifetime. Let us try to identify and evaluate them.

What am I grateful for?
Everyone’s life has its share of challenges and opportunities, joys and sorrows. The key to true happiness lies in being able to count your blessings. Ask yourself about the things that you should be grateful for and evaluate whether you are actually doing so. People who see the positive things in life are fulfilled and happy as compared to those who are pessimistic.

Have I done something nice for anyone recently?
Think about the happiness that you feel when you call your mother randomly and hear the joy in her voice. Or the love you feel in your partner’s eyes when you suddenly come home early to surprise her with a bouquet of her favorite flowers. Making others happy is perhaps the most important of virtues that change life for good. Ask yourself whether you have done anything to make someone truly happy in the recent time.

Am I doing something just for myself?
Even though a lot is said about giving and caring for the happiness of your loved ones, you are as much responsible for yourself too. Another life-changing question is whether you are doing something just for yourself, something that makes you truly happy. It may be something as simple as following a hobby or something big as taking a solo world tour.

Where do I visualize myself in a year from now?
Life is unpredictable and you can never know what lies around the corner. Still, you can try and evaluate the direction that you are moving in and the place where it may land you in future. You can try to seek divination through a tarot reading. However, you need to be careful when you take one as there are certain questions to ask and some to avoid. For instance, it is advised that you do not ask these questions to a tarot reader, such as ones related to your death.

Am I really investing in my relationships?
Relationships need to be nurtured, whether they are with your parents, siblings, spouse, children, friends or colleagues. Those who are able to do it successfully can live much better than people who prefer to live in solitude. Assess your relationships and think about all that you are doing to invest in them. Are you giving them enough time? How far do you go to show that you care and they mean to you?

Am I committed to the right person?
Being committed to the right person can make all the difference to anyone’s life. So this is one question that you must absolutely ask yourself as you would not want to lose a partner who is a true soulmate and would neither want to be stuck in a wrong relationship. Think about how you feel about your partner and whether they have made you a better person. Ask yourself if you want to be with them for a lifetime.

Do I worry about what others think?
Another life-changing question that you must ponder over is whether you worry about what others think about you. If the perspective and opinions of others do make a difference, you will never be able to live life your own way. People who do so never get genuine happiness for themselves as they spend their entire lives to please others and be what they expect. Instead, have your own expectations for yourself and concentrate on fulfilling them.

What are the biggest mistakes that I have made?
To err is human and every person makes mistakes at one point or the other. If you are able to identify your mistakes, life becomes easier as you will probably not make them again. So question yourself about the biggest mistakes that you have made and the impact these mistakes have had on your life and that of your loved ones. After all, life is about learning lessons and the best ones are learnt from your own mistakes.

What if today was the last day of my life?
Death is imminent and something that makes you feel grounded. If you are able to ponder over the feelings that you would have on the last day of your life, you will probably be a different person in the very next moment. Would there be something that you would want to say to someone? Would there be regrets? This one question will bring many more questions and the answers to all will be self-awakening.

Am I who I have always wanted to be?
If you want to unravel the biggest mystery of your life, ask yourself if you are truly the person you have always wanted to be. No one can judge you better than yourself and you should do it with utmost honesty. If you think that there is a scope of improvement (which is there in every person), take note of those aspects and make efforts to bring those changes. You will definitely be a better person in future.

Asking these questions and getting their answers is something that can do you a lot of good. Honesty is the key to answer them correctly and you should do to this to have a happier and more fulfilled life. If you are unable to unveil them, you can seek advice from a guide or a friend who knows you really well and understands your challenges.
