The Paradise That Is Coron & Mommita's Lodge Review

I want to come to a point in my life that I won't buy things anymore, but buy plane tickets and the only thing that I want is to make enough money to be able to travel. I have been dreaming to be a citizen of the world so that I will not be ignorant or prejudice. I want to be able to immerse myself in every culture if given the opportunity.

A few months back Cebu Pacific Airline had a airfare sale and I took the chance and booked a ticket to paradise which is Coron in Palawan. This will be my fourth time in Coron, there is something about this place that keeps us coming back for more. I have blogged about Coron during our first few visits which I will list the links below. But this time around we were with our friends and my sister who are all first timers. It is also my reward to myself and partly my 30th birthday celebration as well.

I have been to other top beaches in the Philippines (Boracay, Cebu, Bohol, Puerto Princesa) but up until now Coron still occupies the top 1 in my heart. First and foremost the place where we always stay is a lodging place called Mommita's Lodge.

The lodge is own by Esther Reyes who is fondly called mamita by her guests. Even though there are a lot of hotels that sprawled over the years in Coron, we never stay anywhere else because at Mommita's Lodge it is always clean, everyone from mamita and to the staff are very warm and hospitable.

The experience of staying at Mommita's Lodge is just like you're having a vacation in your home province and being taken care of your grandmother. Every guest is treated like family or friend and not as strangers.

And did I mention that the food servings are super generous too? Feast on seafood and grilled items your whole stay; just a warning, if you have been trying to lose weight and dieting, all those pounds you lost before your trip, you will regain in just a few days because mamita will serve you food you will not resist! I have a more detailed blog post about Mommita's Lodge that you can read here: MISSING CORON...MOMMITA'S LODGE

Coron boasts of the finest marine parks you can ever see in the Philippines. The lakes and limestone cliffs in Coron Island are super enchanting and awe-strucking places that I have ever been my entire life. The beaches in Coron also are the cleanest, most breath-taking and serene ones and have the finest and whitest sand I have ever set my foot onto. It is truly paradise on earth! Sorry for using superlative words, but everytime I describe this place, those words will never be enough to relay how beautiful this place is.

There have been a couple of developments here and there, but Coron is still able to  retain its province ambiance which I hope will stay that way for the years to come. Whenever I go to Coron I always feel so blessed to be able to enjoy and witness such (hands-down) beautiful creation by God and I also feel blessed for having the opportunity to visit it yearly.

If I ever have the chance to go back to Coron every so often I will definitely take the chance... So to you Coron, no goodbyes just see you soon!
