It has 260 well-appointed rooms and suites with contemporary designs and local touches giving it a distinct and vibrant aesthetics. A noted aspect of Clark Marriott is that it embodies the culture and tradition of its home Pampanga. Local materials and suppliers from the province were employed for the construction, design and furnishings for the hotel. There are areas in the hotel made from the “lahar” or mudflow from Mt. Pinatubo.
When you're doing a staycation whether it is in a hotel or in a resort it is rarely that you go out and eat out. You take full advantage of the place where you're staying at and seek what the place has to offer. Clark Marriott has 5 dining options so for our meals when we had our weekend staycation over there, we tried 4 of their in house restaurants. For our first day lunch and second day breakfast we dined at Goji and also tried some of what Noodle Inc. has to offer which is the adjacent resto to Goji.
Goji Kitchen + Bar is an innovative all-day dining restaurant celebrating the common bonds of food, family, migration and reunion within all cultures connecting rural roots with urban futures. It is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Tucked inside Goji is Noodle Inc. which serves all things noodles especially the most loved Asian noodles. Noodle Inc.'s bestselling noodles is their Laksa.
Goji caters to the following cuisines/food: Western, Japanese, Chinese, Italian and Korean. I love their carving station and the cheese stations. I tried almost all what these stations had to offer. They also have a seafood station during lunch time which was the bulk of what I ate at that time.
I had crabs, clams and shrimps cooked buttered garlic style. When I went through their sushi station I didn't find sashimi’s displayed on the counter. But when I asked if they did have them, one of the chefs happily told me that she'll prepare a couple of pieces for me. Minutes later she delivered them to our table. My jaw dropped when I saw how big the salmon sashimi slices, LOL, needless to say I'm one happy girl at that very moment.
Another station that I enjoyed at Goji was their dessert station. They have there the teppan ice cream wherein you can customize your ice cream and put the ingredients that you want in there. I ordered two ice cream servings: avocado with walnuts, pecan nuts and almonds and mango with crushed meringue and almonds. I totally enjoyed those!
The following morning, we also had our buffet breakfast at Goji. Here, I filled my tummy with cheeses, cold cuts, bacons, Filipino breakfast dishes like danggit and tocino. I also had a ham and cheese omelet made for me which was huge by the way – that already filled me up fast. And to finish my breakfast I munched down on Danish pastries.
I love that Goji’s stations are not that many thus being less overwhelmed by too much choices. They offer just enough varieties of food. Service was great as well. I seriously enjoyed every minute of dining at Goji.
