Yakikai Japanese Grill & Buffet: Newest Eat-All-You-Can in QC

Just when you thought all the never-ending consuming of food already stopped after the holidays and y’all now are ready to start your #BalikAlindog goals; well, don’t get mad at me, as I’m weak as you are too, but let me tell you about this newly opened buffet restaurant in Tomas Morato, Quezon City: Yaki Kai Japanese Grill and Buffet! This new restaurant is located at the heart of Quezon’s City’s food hub specifically at Sct. Lazcano St. Tomas Morato  and is another concept brand of the people behind the, also, unlimited restaurant, Hodai!

Yaki Kai is a combination of two Japanese words: yaki meaning grilled and kai meaning gathering. At Yaki Kai you’ll be able to enjoy Japanese and Korean dishes including samgyupsal to your heart’s content. It’s a two-storey house-turned-resto can accommodate up to 150 people! They have parking too and can accommodate I think until 10 cars, but street parking is also allowed in this area.

Tables are set with built in grills and are usually long tables because perhaps they want to target groups of family and friends. There are ample spaces but the last time my friend went back, there was already a line outside. So, it’s better if you call ahead to reserve. From what I can remember, guests can only stay and eat for until 2 hours to give way to other customers.

As of this writing, Yaki Kaihas current promos until January 31, 2020. They are offering 2 Sets: Premium Set and Emperor Set. The Premium Set is originally priced at PHP 499 but now at opening promo price of PHP 339 and includes the following meats: Chicken teriyaki, Spicy chicken yakiniku, Samgyupsal, Galbi sauce pork, Peppered pork shoulder loin, Sliced beef, Beef tare yakiniku, Spicy beef and Fresh shrimp.

For the Emperor Set it is originally priced at PHP 699 but with opening promo price of PHP 599. The Emperor Set includes more meats to grill and comprises of: chicken teriyaki, spicy chicken yakiniku, samgyupsal, spicy samgyupsal, galbi sauce pork, peppered pork shoulder loin, sliced beef, beef tare yakiniku, spicy beef, fresh shrimp, beef steak (chuck eye roll), jjamppong nobe, salmon sashimi and ebi tempura.

Both sets include unlimited refills of cheese dips and customers can get prepped dishes from the buffet spread. Although the buffet spread’s dishes are subject to change depending on availability. Drinks and desserts are also available but at additional costs.

For the Birthday Promo that is available year-round, is that the birthday celebrant gets to eat free any day of their birthday month, as long as he/she brings a valid ID bearing date of birth and go with 7 full-paying adults.

IMO, the price of Yaki Kai's Buffet Sets is very competitive for the quality of food that they offer. Make sure that when you come here, you better bring the whole barkada and the whole family including your extended relatives, and that all of you are hungry!
