Caravan Black - BGC

I couldn't reiterate enough how much coffee is a big part of my life, how it fuels my soul and how it keeps me functioning all throughout the day. When I wake up, the first thing that I do is to make myself a cup of coffee. I think I usually finish 2 cups before I leave for work. And that doesn't stop there, when I get to work, I also drink coffee throughout the day, usually just one more glass or one full tumbler. I don't know if that's still healthy or not, but I guess I'm all too immune with coffee that I don't care anymore, really.

When I'm at work, it's seldom that I get my coffee from the vendo at the pantry. I really don't like how the coffee taste from those machines. So it's either I get my caffeine fix from McDonald's, 7-11 or Caravan Black which is just at the ground floor of where i used to work. I frequented that coffee shop when me and my office mates were transitioning from one season to another.

We had so much time in our hands for a couple of weeks and we would go to Caravan Black to literally kill idle time. We would bring books and me my laptop and do some blog related stuff while we sip on anything that we would order from Caravan Black.

Caravan Black is a specialty coffee shop that serves your usual coffee blends and some unique signature cups using Yardstick Coffee and equipment. They also offer light meals and some desserts and pastries. Although every time that we were there, usually, we would just get coffee and something from their food display cabinet.

I've tried their Iced Caravan Mocha which I actually like since all the flavors in tit was strong, both the chocolate and coffee notes. If I'm not getting the Iced Mocha, I order the Cappuccino as this was BOGO using Booky since April.  I think I've also tried one of their flavored iced teas, the variety I can't remember, but what I can reckon was that it had peach and lemon in it.

We have also tried their S'mores and Lemon Square cakes.  The s'mores was ok. The lemon square was too sour for me and the crust was a little waxy. I don't know if it was from an old batch or what but the crust part looked like it got soaked already from the lemon cake.

Price points, it's priced like Starbucks. I like their coffee drinks and teas, but the cakes not so much. I would like to try their food offerings one of these days. Oh by the way, they don't have free wifi but you can use their power sockets if you have laptop and you want to work in there. It’s a huge place with high ceilings with walls covered in murals. The whole place has this vintage- eclectic vibe and can get busy at times.
