Buendia Food by the Court: Isha's Little Thai Kitchen

In less than a year, Buendia Food by the Court has already established itself as a favorite foodie destination and hangout in Makati City. Launched early this year by SUDECO, the unique food park, which also houses a basketball court, started out with 13 merchants. Today, BFBTC has a total of 27 merchants serving a variety of unique, mouthwatering food concepts. The first of its kind in Makati, Buendia Food by the Court is an extensive food park with its own basketball court, located conveniently in the middle of the metro.

Whether you want to burn a few calories post binge, work up an after-game appetite, or you simply want to chill with friends in a hip, laid back environment that just happens to offer some of the best grub in the city, BFBTC is your best bet. Buendia Food by the Court, with its wide variety of curated food options, has something for everyone.

I've featured and introduced Buendia Food by the Court in another post, which you can read here: Buendia Food by the Court: Food, Fun, and Basketball, and the next few blog posts will focus on each of the food stalls that we tried that afternoon.

Isha's Little Thai Kitchen at BFBTC offers popular Thai dishes at affordable price. Not only that, they also cook their dishes without using MSG which is great if you ask me. I like the color scheme of their stall and how they present their dishes.

We tried their Pad Thai, which are stir-fried rice noodle dish commonly served as a street food and at casual local eateries in Thailand. This Pad Thai has a savory sweet sauce with a delicious combination of tofu, bean sprouts, chicken and prawns which is a taste to remember. Though they already use tamarind sauce they still include a slice of lemon with the dish, which is a good thing if you don't like your Pad Thai to be too terribly sweet.

Another dish that we tried is the Khao Pad Goong with shrimps. This dish is a fried rice and is also a very typical Thai street food. It's a great tasting rice dish that's complemented well with the shrimps. I like it because if you peel the shrimp, but leave the head on, the oily goodness from the head of the shrimp acts like a sauce to coat the rice in a buttery shrimp flavor. This is also served with a wedge of lemon for that added citrusy flavor.
